Adding New Text Command?

Hi all,

I've been lurking for ages without interacting very much, but I would like to ask your help with regard to a problem I've encountered. I'm looking to add a new text command, almost identical to \f, that displays an image on the screen near the messagebox, but instead of displaying the whole static image, the command would use the animated-bitmap-from-PNG method to turn the image called into an animated display. Problem is, I'm not sure at all how to go about adding it. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions?
