The Supreme Court, while not completely banning the use of affirmative racism in college admissions, has sent the case back to the appellate court, and set the standard at strict scrutiny for affirmative racism to permissible.
Meanwhile, the judge in George Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial has denied the prosecution the use of key evidence. The judge has ruled that expert testimony will not be allowed to help identify the woman who called 911 as she witnessed the shooting of Trayvon Martin.
Also, the decisions on California's Prop 8 and the federal Defense of Marriage Act will not be released today.
