A following trainer follows the player even if they black out

Hello, I activated coach Brendan event that comes in Pokemon Essentials, which makes the event follow the main character, but when I am defeated in battle the event back to the beginning, what I have to do to always keep the event following me independent counsel if I am defeated or not in battles?I want to make when I defeated and reappear in the center pokemon the event is still following me.
