[Script] Starting map

Hello pokecommunity
Is there a way to change the starting map in Fire Red based on the gender of the player,maybe with hex editor?or is that regulated by the game engine?
Maybe this has already been discussed in another thread?Can you point me there?

If you want it to be gender based, you gotta do some scripting to check gender and then go to the starting map for that gender.
