[Gen 8] Cherrim's Journey to Find A Cherrim (and Catch Every Yamper)

Hi there, did you think I was done just because I got the end credits and posted "THE END" as my final image? Nope, still had some game left to achieve!

However, this one may be the last one because... I completed my Pokédex! From here on out it's just shiny hunting, raiding, and helping others complete their dexes. This game was such a fun ride and I really loved the feeling of camaraderie I got from playing it with everyone else here on PC. Not to be too sappy, but I'm really going to treasure these memories for a long time.

I may update here and there as I complete more soft goals, but with little left to say and do, I don't want to make any promises. For everyone who took the time to read these, thank you so much! They were a lot of fun to write!
Again, spoiler warning because this entry covers the postgame catching of Zacian and all that goes with it. It also details my journey to complete the Pokédex, although not in very much detail because lol that would be exceedingly boring. I wrote this post as I played so, as usual, apologies if it switches tense all over the place. I'm also sorry this entry is so long ahaha.

• They ARE best friends!!!! This fills me with such immense joy. I love them so much. Every single time I open up camp now, these two are already interacting with each other.
  
  
• oh... everything is really high level in the wild area now :( that's kind of annoying, actually, I would have done more completion earlier had I known that would happen.
• Back to Prof Magnolia's house to check out the lake next to her, since I noticed on my other file that you could bike on it.
• Did u know Cherrim can walk on water? I'm not saying it's a deity worthy of worship, but........

• Lots of them. (Yamper Count: 26)

• Did some raids with another friend group. I found a 5* Mr Rime raid and it THRASHED us bc my friend is only around the 4* raid level and it kept targetting her Pokemon RIP. And then the raid den right next to it was another one rip. But then their next raid den was a 3* Mr Rime so we did that one and got revenge.
• I joined a camp for a while and played with a bunch of Pokémon and we did a big 4 person cook and we all got the hearts perfect and then made a charizard-level curry for the first time!!!
  
  
  
  
  
• SAMMI FOUND A CHERRIM RAID AND INVITED ME and it was 5* so I couldn't bring Lauriam in, so I brought in Cynders and as it played out, I ended up dealing the final blow and felt SO BAD. And then I didn't catch it so she traded it to me ;__;
  
  
  
  
  
• Was invited to another Cherrim raid and didn't catch that one. The host did and traded it to me. (Incidentally I was late to get to that raid bc I was on my other file doing a Cherrim raid where I caught it.)
  
  
• I've been filling my Pokédex. My journeys took me to a thunderstorm area to look for Applin. (Yamper Count: 28)
• Caught my Applin, but hoping to catch one or two more so we're sticking around this area a little longer. (Yamper Count: 29)
• I'm 75% done my Pokédex!!!
• I spent like 3 hours fishing for Feebas and then when the date rolled over, it was foggy in Lake of Outrage so I was able to just catch a Milotic swimming around. Hell yeah.
• I decided to do the battle tower until the iv checker and one of my first opponents had a Cherrim which is just rude because I don't want to hurt them!! But I'm going to pretend that my signature Pokémon as Champion being Cherrim has made it popular throughout the country and that's why this little kid had one.
• I swapped my look after I became Champion to a more "incognito" look and I really love it.
  
  
• I see Leon went the complete opposite direction of incognito for his post-game outfit omfg
  
  
  
  
  
• Okay, I'm finally going to get my legendary
• Aww, Hop wants to battle, that's cute. *switches out the random things she was levelling up for dex completion and puts her main team back in*
• Sonia wrote her own book, I'm so proud of her!!! Although Hop saying he lined up to buy it makes me feel like a jerk for not even knowing she was writing one. :'(
• But at least it makes my "didn't show up to do the endgame stuff until ages later" feel a bit more like it was supposed to be this way hahaha.
• SORDWARD AND SHIELBERT ARE REAL????? i thought they were some stupid meme ppl made up oh my god lmao

• Yesss another plot raid! I... probably should have predicted it would be a grass type but here I am with Cherrim. Oh well! Dynamax Cherrim it is oops.
• I'm so overlevelled from carrying Lauriam with me everywhere while doing pokédex completion that I'm still doing a lot of damage lmfaoo
• Milo's Flapple was OHKO'd and I'm so upset it didn't let Milo cheer. >:(
• Okay, if I'm going around as Champion to save the country, I'm changing out of my incognito look to something more champion-y. (I really wish you could customize the colour on your champion gear... the ugly yellow is so bad...)
  
  
• ....I forgot to edit my team order so I guess....... I really will just solidify Cherrim as my signature Pokémon by using it everywhere.
• I went to Motostoke first, so we sunny while fighting this Torkoal. B)
• And now we're helping Nessa and Cherrim is (mostly) appropriate.

• Oh god I have to solo this dragon Pokémon?? Okay maybe we won't use Cherrim for every single one.
• Winston made that way too easy.
• It's rude that they won't let you catch any of these Dynamax Pokémon because Gigalith is one of the last Pokémon I need for my dex completion.
• lmao of course Bede dealt with everything himself and just challenges you to a battle. Have I mentioned I love his arc? I love his arc. (Also: have I finally been accepted as pink!?!?)
  
  
  
  
  
• I love that you can kind of see everyone from my generation of the gym challenge branching off and finding their own paths. Bede and Marnie are gym leaders, I'm champion.... I hope Hop finds his path too.

• Oh my god I decided my first shiny hunt would be for Vanillite (in a dive ball bc it looks kinda icy) and I got it on my 9th egg lksdfhjdsks
  
  
• Did lots of trades and asked for Yamper in return. (Yamper Count: 30, 31, 32)
• I'm now shiny hunting Bounsweet and wow, what do you mean all Masuda hunts don't finish in <2 batches of eggs??

My Team
I had Lauriam and Friskers in the party the entire time I was completing my Pokédex so they're way ahead of the rest of the team now, lol. (I couldn't separate them, of course.)
