  • Because I'm a gloomy person...
    Status Name: Heartbroken
    Status Acronym: HTB
Status Effect: Lowers the the affected Pokemon's Special Defense. Causes the affected Pokemon to lose some of their HP each turn as long as the Pokemon who inflicted the status is in battle.
Used by Types: Any?...But maybe it could be more associated with Normal and Fairy Types, like Infatuation is?
    Resisted by Types: Dark Types
    Or
    Status Name: Traumatized
    Status Acronym: TRM
Status Effect: Affected Pokemon have lowered Special Defense and a chance of being immobilized each turn.
Used by Types: Psychic, Dark and Ghost
    Resisted by Types: None
Certain Pokemon - Xatu, for example - could have an Ability which powers up their Psychic attacks when Traumatized, or even inflicts the status like a Toxic/Flame Orb. The currently useless move Hold Hands could heal both of these statuses.

  • Status Name: Slow
    Status Acronym: SLW
Status Effect: The flow of time around the Pokémon slows down. In practice, it means the priority of all of its moves is reduced by 2, and moves such as Tailwind or Trick Room don't fix the situation. The Pokémon also can't land critical hits. The condition disappears on its own after 2 to 5 turns. Visually, the Pokémon appears to move slower and after-images appear when it does.
    Used by Types: Psychic, Ghost
    Resisted by Types: Psychic, Ghost

    Status Name: Stasis
    Status Acronym: STS
Status Effect: The flow of time around the Pokémon completely stops. In practice, it renders the Pokémon completely invincible, but also impossible to use items on and switch out. The Pokémon also can't move at all, all moves used on it will fail, and multi-target moves won't affect it. Basically, the Pokémon might as well not be there at all. Stasis lasts up until 3 turns, but the probability of recovering is relatively high each turn. This ability can be used to temporarily take out one of the opponents in a Double/Triple/Rotation Battle, but its use isn't reliable enough to work as a consistent strategy. Visually, the Pokémon freezes and becomes monochrome for the duration of the status.
    Used by Types: Psychic, Ghost
    Resisted by Types: None

The following two are basically variations of the burn status, but with different types:

    Status Name: Infested
    Status Acronym: INF
Status Effect: What appears to be a swarm of minuscule bugs continuously surrounds the Pokémon, breaking its concentration and therefore lowering its accuracy, while also sapping its HP after every move. The Pokémon can be freed of the condition by getting hit by a wind-based move such as Gust, Twister etc or heal itself by using Defog or Rapid Spin (100% probability) or any move that involves it running or flying quickly (such as Rapid Spin, Quick Attack, Fly, Brave Bird) (20% probability) .
    Used by Types: Bug
    Resisted by Types: Fire, Bug

    Status Name: Overgrown
    Status Acronym: OVG
Status Effect: The Pokémon is overgrown with parasitic vines that sap its life force. In gameplay, it means: lower Special Attack and HP drained after every turn. The Pokémon can be freed of the condition by getting hit by a Flying-type move (50% probability), a Fire type move (20% probability) or specifically Cut or Fury Cutter (100% probability, and the move deals no damage), or heal itself by using Rapid Spin or Flame Wheel.
    Used by Types: Grass
Resisted by Types: Grass, Bug, Poison, Steel

The title says modify too. I would nerf the Frozen Status. I don't know if it is only me but if I get frozen I am for sure not thawing out till my Pokemon is dead. There should be a raise of probality of thawing out with every turn.

    Status Name: Drowning
    Status Acronym: DRW
Status Effect: The Pokemon get's into a state of panic because of the drowning losing 1/16th HP for 2-5 turns, it is confused and his attack and special attack stats are doubled while it's speed is halved (only for the duration of the status).
Status inducing moves: For example Surf could have a 10% chance of inflicting it or other Water Type Moves.
    Used by: Mainly Water Types

  • Status Name: Terrain Burst
    Status Acronym: TRB

Used by Types: Grass, Fairy, Psychic, Electric
Resisted by Types: Steel (durable), Dragon (hardy, and can thrive in many conditions)
