true, since my only shiny pokemon are the red gyarados and the shiny even suicune (i missed raikou and entei, so i don't have those...) so yeah, i've basically never gotten any shiny, since those two were automatically shiny...

TPBMHN owned EVERY pokemon game there is (including the super old titles)
