Hello world of PokeCommunity. I was wanting to know if there's any free source of a pokemon RPG that's browser based? It doesn't matter if the source is incomplete, I just want to get a good start with developing a pkmn rpg that's browser based and not RMXP, any game maker related.
    Thanks for reading! :)

So what if I offer to pay $100+ US for a completed pokemon script, would that satisfy most of you? :)

  • MelonJS is a good start for you. You can export your map from RMXP to Tiled map editor then use it with MelonJS. I have tried a lot of HTML 5 engine and MelonJS is the best for browser based RPG. Here is a demo I made last week: [Link]

That would actually be too little. Minimum wage is $7.25 where I live. Considering a Pokemon game would take months to program from scratch, probably more than a year, you would need over $9,425 (that would for a year working 8 hours on week days).

I don't believe there are too many sources other than what the guys have mentioned. But considering I'm not too fond of where this discussion can lead to, due to some legality things (discussing money being exchanged and so on is something to be kept off PC), I'm just going to be safe rather than sorry here and close this thread.

I hope you found some useful information in the mean time.
