[ASM & Hex✓] Help?

Was posted in The Offset Reference the offset to the default player's name, however idk how to read it for editing, can someone help?

That offset is beginning of a long list of possible names that the player can be given if they don't write anything at the beginning of the game. Check out this thread for more details. Also, here's a post that has the offsets for each individual name.
