does this game have a move relearner my lil brother wants to get flamethrower for charizard

No, we didn't add the move relearner, however you can learn flamethrower from the move tutor in front of the golden rod casino.

They're only there on Wednesdays and Saturdays, so you would need to change the clock.

There are ways of adding a Move Relearner if i'm correct. If anything, you should try to implement it, since it at least assures players don't miss out on movepools. Maybe check one of the wizards over at Disassembly groups?

Would you consider adding solarbeam to Typhlosion's tm list? I just remember that it was learnable in the gen IV remake, and I have a bit of nostalgia for a typhlosion with the sunny day/solarbeam combo. (I would also really love the move relearner idea-I don't *need* it, but I really like having the option. It's kind of a quality of life thing for me)

Also, I'm loving that Kanto has progression! I always felt like Kanto just felt.... tacked on at the end. I had a hell of a time getting past Sabrina....but I'm fairly certain that is my own fault. I have an entire team of poison types XD

Also also, thank you for the prompt patch for the daycare!! I have my shiny typhlosion, which I love very much!

    Hello,
I want to say thank you, I really enjoyed your hack. It's close to being perfect for me in terms of challenge.
What I liked the most: the level cap, the challenge, reusable Tms, the Physical/Special-split, early access to the lucky egg, new wild areas that give more experience than others.
I almost have finished the run, playing as "SET" battle style. I've beaten the enhanced E4, red and 14/16 gym leader rematches.
My team before the first E4 until now, is: Gyarados, Gengar, Scizor, Dragonite, Butterfree, Forretress. All those Pokemon are directly or indirectly buffed by the hack.
My team isn't very optimised (too many fire weakness) and I have lost a lot of battles. My most performing Pokemon was butterfree (spore).

Here are the important improvements I would like to see:
    - Move releaner: that's what this hack needs the most.
    - Reduce grinding time, increasing the XP you get after each battle and possibility to buy cheap rare candies.
    - If possible, an option or an item that put your Pokemon DVs and EVs to max. For instance, the polished crystal hack has an option to make the Pokemon fight as if they have perfect DVs. Reduce the price of vitamins.
    - Move some strong vanilla egg moves to leveling moveset: especially baton pass, sword dance, reflect, light screen, counter, mirror coat, destiny bond...

Here are the unimportant improvements I would like to see:
    - Add some strong RBY Tms moves to the leveling moveset, especially sword dance and explosion.
    - Keep the player money safe when he loses.
    - A document that lists the opponents Pokemon (at least for the E4), so you can prepare your team accordingly, and reduce the probability to have to replace your Pokemon.

    To add more challenge:
    - Remove non-important trainers, keep only 2-3 per roads, each should get 6 Pokemon.
    - Consider banning or nerfing these move: counter, mirror coat and destiny bond because of their one-shot potential, and because the AI doesn't know how to handle them.
    - Consider banning or nerfing moves impacting the Pokemon accuracy (double team, sand attack, flash, minimize, mud-slap, smoke screens...) and maybe charm and attraction. A very OP strategy is to use these moves to make the first opponent Pokemon unable to attack, they will give you plenty of time, to set up a sweeper that will one-shot every opponent Pokemon.

Did you change the mystery egg Pokemon at all? If so, can you add the list to the documentation?

I have a blast playing this but not gonna lie the most stressfull battle was totally the first gym falkner, jasmine and lance with his secret pokemon outspeeding my team and hit hard. Now its up for Kanto. Got Entei and Raikou and ended up leveling Entei and he sucks lol, like legit he is so weak, no fire power and not that tanky either.

my team is consist of Scizor ( was about to use Ledian but Scizor is better in every way), Jynx (Her design is the best), the evolution of Dunsparce ( It took so long to leveling him up and about to give up, once he evolved he obliterate everything but have a very bad moveset only decent ones are flamethrower and sludge bomb and hidden power fighting, Crobat, SOOO DISSAPOINT on her, give kings rock and air slash barely flinching anything.. Magnella, clutch and only usefull at the end at the dragonite for stun spore and let my scizor end the dragonite, and lastly the MVP quagsire. Just too good .

I dont really know how to put my image in this, if anyone could help it would be a blessing thank you.

Hello! I was hoping to hardcore nuzlocke this game, as it looks really great! I say this because I was wondering if i could get the gym leaders teams (if not, just their highest level pokemons level) as my rules require level caps for each gym, thanks!

Hi, the game will automatically stop you from levelling past the highest level Pokémon, so you don't need to worry. I do hope to share the important fights documentation at some point however. But for the time being I hope this helps.

  • some things Im gonna mention rn that very likely are oversights.

Ruins of Alph's Grass Encounters are Too Low Leveled for when you can reach it (They're in their Level 4-6 range) (You need Surf to get to the Grass.

Route 46's Trainers can be fought as soon as you get Rock Smash (These Trainers have high Level 50's even though your not even around that level)

Dark Cave's Route 45 Side can be accessed as soon as you get Surf thus leading to you being able to find Level 45-48ish Wild Pokemon (When the cap at that point would be Level 38)

A thing that isnt an oversight but rather more of a question
Why was Wooper's evolving Level increased to 33 even though you can find Wild Quagsire on Route 37 (At Level 20)

    - Also the Docs are kind of outdated in terms of info. (Early Game Locations have their Levels wrong such as Sprout Tower listing Level 9-12 Pokemon even though they're lower in-game, Also Route 32's Wild Pokemon are listed at Levels 11-15 but they're lower In-Game) Also there mentions of Stantler and Lickitung in the doc even though they're gone

Hi, saw your message and went to work on fixing some of the inaccuracies. I'll be pushing out a new patch that fixes these later today. I'll respond to your concerns in bulletpoints.

    1. This is unintentional, just me not looking over all the encounters and considering when you get them properly. Fixed.

    2. Route 46 will no longer be accessible through this method.

    3. Dark Cave's Route 45 Side will no longer be accessible by going through the Violet entrance while having access to surfing.

    4. Just a mistake, plain and simple, will be changed to Wooper next patch.
There was some game balance reason for having Wooper evolve a little later, but I don't really recall.

    5. The wild Pokémon docs should be taken with a grain of salt and considered inaccurate, they were first created in a stage of development when not all the important game balance decisions had been made yet and as such exhibit some incorrect information regarding mostly what levels all the Pokémon are. Stantler and Lickitung being featured in the doc is a mistake as well.

Thanks for listing some of the mistakes and oversights. They should all be fixed soon!

    New patch has been released!

Fixes some small inaccuracies and such.

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
There is now a public "Important Trainers spreadsheet" for those who like to know what they're up against before heading into a battle.

  • Alot of Things that are questions or stuff that I've Noticed.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Cyndaquil's Line appears to be completely unobtainable if you didn't choose Cyndaquil as your starter.
    - I think your stuck with Porygon until Post-Game because I didnt see anywhere that an Up-Grade could be found.
    - Was it really necessary to make Suicune unobtainable until after the Red Fight?
    - Pokefan Georgia still has Low Level Sentret and Furret.
    - Theres a trainer on Route 27 that requires Whirlpool to access but he has lower levels than other trainers on the same route.
    - Route 47's Wild Pokemon seem to be too low leveled to when you can access to Route 47 (Which i think is after saving Goldenrod Radio Tower) (At least thats when I was able to access it I think)
    - Also pretty sure that one Trainer in Mt. Mortar that requires Waterfall (Not the Karate King) still has vanilla levels.
    - Also theres Wild Level 45 Sandshrew in 2F of Mt. Mortar (That area that requires Waterfall)
    - Also The Level Cap on Jasmine's Gym is 4 levels Higher than her Ace Pokemon which is at Level 44.
    - On that related note, There really should be an area to access to train for Jasmine, It is a slog trying to train up To Level 44/48 for that.
    - Poke Fan Trevor still mentions Psyduck but he has a Golduck.
    - Post-Game Trainers still have Berrys as Held Items (Which just seems more useless as they heal just 10 HP)
    - Super Rod Encounters are Still Level 40 (When you get the Super Rod in the Post-Game in which the wild Mons are near Level 70ish at that point)

Thanks for your continued help in finding some of the smaller oversights that I've overlooked. Most of the above issues will be fixed in a patch I'll be publishing later today, with a few exceptions. Removing the berries on the trainers seems rather redundant even if they don't contribute much and the Super Rod encounters is something I'd just rather not really mess around with. I also could not find that Mount Mortar trainer you were talking about, but maybe I just didn't look hard enough. Suicune not being obtainable until after Red is an unfortunate consequence of wanting Ho-Oh (who is in the same area) to not be obtainable until after Red due to how much it breaks the post-game like the box legendary that it is. I'm sure that there is a more elegant solution, but it's just not something I'm up for finding right now. Regardless, thanks.

  • I think its Super Nerd Hugh in Mt. Mortar, As for the Ho-oh situation, You could always move the guy up towards the 2nd Floor of Tin Tower and do some slight adjusting with the Layout on that floor to have him block the ladder to the higher floors, But that would mean having to also up the levels of the Wild Mons above the 2nd Floor of tin Tower (As they'd be Level 50's) but regardless, Your Welcome.

A new patch has been released for the game! This new patch fixes several smaller errors and improves quality of life.

Patch notes are available on the main post.

Please save in a Pokémon Center before going over to the new version. Patch a clean ROM and use the same save file.
