Belna(ベルナー) Region

Information
After recently finishing Sword & Shield and recently replaying X&Y. I wanted to create a region that had connecting lore to the two other regions. This is probably going to be a very slow-paced project! I'm not confident in my story writing skills or world-building but I know that I'm never going to improve if I don't get my work out there.

Story Information
This Region is based in Belgium.
Aurora & Eclipe, despite being the same story, takes place in two branches; Poke-Shows and Poke-Battles. I know Poke-shows might sound boring to some people, especially if you played it in the games, but I promise to make the route as interesting as possible!

Region History
3,000+ years ago a war broke out between two Regions, Kalos and Belna. This long conflict was drawn out and many lives were lost. People treated Pokémon with special powers as mere tools in their conflict so much to the point that Pokemon were forcefully taken from their loving homes. When the Belrians seemed close to victory, both regions were nearly whipped out by the Ultimate Weapon.

Belna, taking most of the damage, was left in ruins. The Belrians would soon be filled with fear and slowly angry and disdain towards the King, thus the Awakening of Coloremar. With its inky black figure, the pokemon would blend itself into the shadows of the forest and strike at random. Coloremar would wreak havoc across the remains of the region and the royal family did nothing about it. The Belrians grew more and more restless with their silence, everyday citizens would plead for them to do something but to no avail.

The Cycle would continue for years, Coloremar would strike, more lives were lost, and despair would only get worse. Eventually, one soldier had enough and planned to flee the country with his family. While finding a safe route, the soldier stumbled across an injured pokemon. Although he had hesitated to help it, he couldn't in good conscious leave the poor pokemon behind. He would tend to it every night with growing guilt of the thought he would even think about abandoning the civilians he had protected for so many years. Now desperate, the soldier knew he needed to take charge if he wanted this region to survive. The soldier started to form a rebellion with the few soldiers and civilians that took his side. The news of a growing rebellion quickly reached the King.

The King was furious that his people would even dare to go against him. The King's wrath grew so to the point that he went insane. His insanity was enough to power the Coloremar further to the point that he was able to control it. The King would use the newly tamed Pokemon's power and attacks the opposing citizens, starting the early start of the rebellion.

This rebellion was considered the bloodiest compared to the war that happened prior. The use of an Unknown pokemon didn't help much either.

The Soldier that formed the rebellion was severely hurt during a retreat after he used himself as a shield. Left for dead, the soldier prays to the night sky filled with falling stars, in hopes that this chaos will come to an end. As he holds on to the star/stone that has fallen into his hand close to his heart, a blurry white figure approaches him. The only thing he could make out was its fiery eyes.

The soldier reached out for the pokemon's help. In what he assumed were his final moments, he asked for the pokemon to lead the rest of the rebellion to victory.

Not wanting to leave the soldier that helped them when they needed him, Lanssaert healed the fallen soldier.

Aurora
Lanssaert responded to the stone in the soldier's hand and began to change appearance. The Pokemon that stood before the soldier was now much stronger than what it already was. Despite this change, the Solider and Pokemon stood beside each other.

Eclipse
Lanssaert responded to the star in the soldier's hand and began to grow in size alongside its physical appearance. The Pokemon would carry the Soldier through battle.

The pair would go on to fight with one another until the King had fallen. With the remaining bits of its power left, Lanssaert sealed away Coloremar. The Soldier would give the Pokemon his thanks before the Lanssaert fell into a slumber, leaving a single black scale/small white feather

As peace slowly returned to the region, the King and his family were exiled and the Soldier was made the new King, with the promise of guiding Belna into a better path.

Legndaries
  • Coloremar (Colorobetch+Cauchemar)
Dark-Ice type Pokémon Awakened and powered by people's anger and hate. The Pokémon will take the form of its real-life counterpart just without the human head. Instead of its pale white skin, it will be covered in Black scales.

  • Lanssaert(Landvættir+Ossaert)
A Fairy-Fire type Pokémon born as a counter to Coloremar. A white dog with feathers instead of fur, its most notable feature is its fiery eyes. It's noted that anyone who holds one of its feathers will gain a future with great fortune.

Mythicals
Kludde
A Dark Ghost-type pokemon known for tormenting people that enter its territory. Kludde can be found near lakes and rivers in abandoned forests.

De-ogen
A Fairy/Ghost-type Pokemon that is rumored to be the spirits of the Victims of Coloremar. Often seen in fog form and followed by smaller shadow figures. This Pokemon is not hostile, sometimes opting to run away from battles unless pushed to fight.

Poke-Dex will be next.

Gym/Show Leaders
  • Gym/Show challenge work similar to Galar's League. The only way you can get endorsed is by challenging the Normal Type leaders (Unless you have other connections within the league). There is a time limit to receive your endorsement, so you must work fast(If the player fails three times it's an automatic game over).
  • There will be uniforms for the Gym challengers, but they get to customize them and even add sponsors as they progress through the league.
  • For Show Challengers, they do not have uniforms. Each gym will have a select amount of clothes for the challengers to pick from. However, once they make it to the Champion cup they are free to create whatever outfit they want.

{!}Note for those taking the show route: While still holding some elements of a traditional battle, each show has different requirements. If you meet them, you'll gain boosts that could help you through the battle. If you don't meet them your stats could decrease. (I'm still struggling a bit with this route so I'm open to suggestions for this route)
[!] Note for both routes: You can challenge the gyms as many times as you want after you complete the story. You could also take the opposite route if you so choose.

Normal Type (Show/Gym)

Show Leader Michel:
A passive young guy sometimes gets bossed around by his twin.
Since this is the first gym you are challenging Michel doesn't really set a requirement.
His team: Cinccino(18), Musteasel(20).

Gym Leader Monique:
An outspoken girl, quick to jump into action very hard to please.
Monique likes to really challenge trainers. Despite the two pokemon rule she always has a third member.
Her team: Staravia(14), Snorlax(18), Diggersby(20).

Water Type Gym Leader Paul:
A laid-back surfer dude who often slips away from his responsibilities. Despite the way he presents himself, Paul always tries to make his challenge memorable.
His team: Mahwot(22), Carvanha(23), Azumarill(24).

Fire Type Show Leader Nicole:
A fiery spirit that shows almost no mercy. Nicole enjoys putting on a show so you need to put on your A-game.
Nicole's gym focuses on Toughness only. However, Coolness and Cleverness will boost your Attack stats.
Her team: Oricorio(Baile Style)(22), Corocanic(23), Ninetales(24).

Psychic Type Show/Gym leader Baz:
Basil, or Baz, is a relaxed gym leader yet a very passionate show leader.
Since he's both a Gym and Show leader, Baz likes to keep things fair for his challengers. If you answer his questions correctly he will give you a stat boost.
His Gym Team: Gardevoir(25), Reuniclus(25), Gallade(26), Belrian Luxray(27).
For shows, he is looking for Cleverness. However, Beauty and Cleverness will boost your stats.
His Show Team: Espeon(25), Musharna(25), Swoobat(26), Belrian Luxray(27).

Ghost Type Gym Leader Galatee:
Galatee is a rather mysterious individual. She enjoys scaring people even outside her gym challenge.
Her team: Cursola(34), Belrian Jigglypuff(35), Chandelure(34), Gengar(36).

Fighting Type Show Uli:
A level-headed individual. While skilled in martial arts, he's seen many times in fashion magazines.
Galatee is looking for Coolness in his battle. However, Beauty and Toughness will give stat boosts.
His team: Belrian Shuckle(34), Bewear(35), Lucario(34), Pangoro(36).

Ice Type Show/Gym Leader Derrick:
A rather unpredictable person. He enjoys art as much as he enjoys pokemon. To keep things fair being a Show and Gym leader, he does not give stat boosts.
Despite not giving stat boosts, Derrick is looking for Cuteness and Toughness.
His Show team: Frosmoth(36), Frochon(36), Lapras(37), Dewgong(38).
His Gym team: Beartic(36), Frochon(36), Lapras(37), Mamoswine(38).

Flying Type Gym Celeste
A sassy young lady from Galar. Often uses the term 'Lass' in an antagonistic way. Her gym is quite well known for letting the challengers use Dynamax. (When you Battle her you will hear the SwSh Gym music)
Her team: Altaria(40), Pereco(40), Staraptor(41), Corviknight(42).

Electric Type Show Ida
A sharp-minded rocker from Kalos. His gym is well known for letting the challenger use Mega Evolution. (When you Battle him you will hear the XY Gym music)
His stat boost will be Minimum. Looking for Toughness and Coolness.
His team: Lanturn(40), Galvantula(40), Waxen(41), Ampharos(42).

Fairy Type (Show/Gym) Fontane
While being loose around the edges and a rather clumsy outside of gym/show challenges. Fontane is a quick thinker.
Fontane is looking for Cuteness. Beauty and Cleverness give stat boosts.
To keep things fair, Fontane will give a stat boost if you have a fairy type on your team.
Her Show/Gym Team: Lamixie(44), Hatterene(45), Aromatisse(45), Belrian Cinccino(46).

Dragon Type (Show/Gym) Vanya
Van isn't looking for anything as he plans on fighting both the Player and their sibling.
His Gym/Show: Wyvereon(46), Dragonite(46), Drampa(47), Dragalge(48).

Elite Four

+For Show trainers, there are no longer any stat boosts.

- Fontane
- Team: Lamixie(53), Hatterene(54), Aromatisse(54), Sylveon(54), Belrian Wigglytuff(55).

Campions
Battle Champion Victor
While from Belna, Victor studied Mega Evolutions in Kalos and Gigantamax in Galar. He's often seen with professor Fir.
Team His: Garchomp(63),Volcarona(64),Stalline(64), Gigantamax Greninja(65).

Show Champion Estelle
Estelle is from Johto, She's known for having a versatile Style. Outside of being a champion, Estelle is a skittish person who constantly overthinks things. It's almost as if she's a completely different person. Estelle helps Victor study and find more pokemon capable of Mega Evolution.
Her Team: Aegislash(62), Roserade(62), Hydreigon(63), Belrian Lickilicky(64), Milotic(64), Mega Typhlosion(65).

I had a bit of trouble with forming good teams. I'm always open to suggestions!

Similar to the XY anime when Serina was gaining Princess Keys, Belrian gym badges for both routes are keys. Where the Challenger places them is undecided.

Rival(s):

Show Rival Aline
A hot-tempered girl who has nothing but good intentions. She wants to show all of Belna that Dark-type trainers aren't all bad people. When doing shows, she always has a cool and tough appearance.
Her team - Belrian Shinx, Eevee(Umbreon), Sharpedo, Suidoar, Deino, and Morpeko.

Suidoar is actually her first pokemon. It just followed her home after she saved it from rushing water.

  • If Aline loses to you two or three times, she will add more pokemon that have an advantage to your Starter. If you lose to her two or three times she will start using pokemon weaker to your starter.

Battle Rival Casper
A soft and gentle boy who wants to prove to Aline and Audrick/Marie that he's strong. He constantly doubts himself but will always make an effort to improve himself and his team.
His team- Golpuff(or pokemon weaker to siblings starter), Lapras, Slugma, Darmanitan, Sliggoo, and Belrian Mareep.

  • Casper will always change his team no matter if he wins or loses a battle against you. The reason for this is because of his battles with Aline and Audrick/Marie.

Male default: Audrick
Audrick tends to fall into the typical sibling role. While he enjoys picking on Marie, he does want to see her grow and succeed. When taking the Show route, Audrick likes to dress in a Handsome(Beauty) and Clever style.
Audrick's default team- Chorter(Pokemon strong to starter), Dewgong, Salazzle, Faetalis, Dragonair, and Ampox.

  • Audrick has a bit of an ego so he won't change his team until he loses to your character at least three times.

Female default: Marie
Marie, while being the softer twin, can still have a powerful stance. She's quick to jump into action and tries to defuse any situation as long as Audrick isn't there to antagonize her. While taking the show route, Marie will dress in a Cute and Clever style.
Marie's default team - Scormalia(Pokemon stronger to Caspers' starter), Phanpy, Mantyke, Absol, Faetalis, and Belrian Politoed.

  • Marie will change her team around the least. She gets attached to her team pretty easily and would rather train her team to their best.

Evil Team Wrath:
I had a concept for them but I don't think it works anymore. Open for suggestions!

Exiled Jules
Jules is trying to reclaim his spot as the rightful heir of the region and he will show no mercy.
Team: Sirfetch'd, Grimmsnarl, The player's starter, Aegislash, Luxray, Escavalier.

Grunts:
Generations of long time followers of the exiled royal family. To this day they believe that the true King/Queen will arrive.
Will switch around from
Fraxure, Zweilous, Doublade, Umbreon, Sharpedo, and Pawniard

Admin: ????
N/A
Admin team: Gardevoir, Absol, Roserade, Mismagius, and Chandelure.

Other Character(s):

Players Mom
The player's mom is a jeweler. While she's seen at home with the player at the start of the story., once the player gains the Starter Key, she'll be seen at her shop throughout the story. You can buy some held items and poke-show stuff from her. you'll see your dad if you beat the game.

Professor Fir
Professor of Pokemon History & Mythology. He would have endorsed you and your friends since he knew you for a very long time, but Aline, Casper, and Audrick/Marie (and you if you pick the option) protested against it.
  • He doesn't battle with the player but he always has a Hibowl by his side.

Historian Amir
Professor Fir's right-hand man. Well versed in Belna's history. Will get very angry if you question him ever so slightly.
His Team: Gardevoir and Trevenant

  • Will only help your character in a pokemon battle once or twice.

Princess Mila
The next heir to the throne. Tired of her guards and her duties.
Mila will battle alongside you from time to time.
Her team: Belette, Hatenna, Cramorant, and Oricorio(Sensu Style).

  • Mila is new to pokemon battles so she'll change her team based on your recommendations.

Royal Guards
Royal guards aren't really a big problem, you'll have to fight them from time to time. Sometimes you'll have to fight them in pairs, singles, and sometimes even single double battles.
Their teams will switch from:
Kingdra, Rapidash, Stalline, Gallade, Roserade, Weavile, and Froslass

Region map coming hopefully!

Show System Update

It didn't seem fair that Show's give stat boost for both the character's appearance and their pokemon's skills and not regular gym battles. So I'll be creating a more fair system.
Beauty is weak to Beauty though it is strong against Coolness and Cuteness.
Cleverness is weak to Cleverness though it is strong against Cool and Toughness.
Coolness is weak to Cleverness and Beauty though it is strong against Cuteness.
Cuteness is weak to Beauty and Coolness though it is strong against Toughness.
Toughness is weak to Cuteness and Cleverness, though it is strong against Toughness.

  • If you dress your character to meet the gym's requirement, you will receive different boosts depending on the gym.
  • To keep things fair for people taking the classic gym routes. If you customize your Uniform to the Gym's type you will get different boosts depending on the gym's typing.

This is still a bit of a work in progress. I'm open to ideas.

Region layout

This is the region map of Belna. I've been using this to plan out each city.

West Flanders(Troutbeck):
- Starter Home
There are two rooms in the house: Audrick's room and Marie's room. They look relatively simple. Your father left his Musteasel before heading off on a business trip. You and/or Audrick often bump heads with the Musteasel.

- Casper's Home
This is the place where you, Aline, and Audrick/Marie always hang out. You'll see some old children's stuff laying around. There's a treehouse that you can enter and get an item(At the end of the game there might be another).

- Aline's Home
You won't be able to enter her house until the very end of the game.

- Route 1
There's a bridge you cross to get to the route. However, at the very start of the game, you'll skip over route 1 until you get your starter.
Here you'll find the typical Normal types of Belna.

East Flanders(Hampstead):
- Normal Type Gym/Show city
- Mom's Jewelry Shop
At the start of the game, the store will be closed.
- Aalst - Professors Lab
- Gravensteen Castle - Amir's studies
- Pokémon Center
- Clothing store

Route 2 - leads to Antwerp
Route - leads to Hainaut. Can't access it unless you beat Perlshaw city gym.

Antwerp(Perlshaw):
- Challenge registration
- Hotel
- Water/Fire gym
For those taking the Gym route, Paul will give you SUP Surfing gear. Those taking the show route, Michel will give you one after you beat Nicole.
- Clothing shop
- Battle Cafe
- Hair Salon

Route 3 - leads to Wealdstone
Burrafirth
A Spring and Summer like Wild area between Hampstead & Perlshaw

Hainaut(Waeldestone):
Can only get there through SUP surfing.
- Historic Site
- Tall Grass
You can encounter some ghost type pokemon
Holbeck Cave (Neptune Caves) You can get to the cave through the route that leads you to Hainaut. It's a mix of a regular cave and a water cave. There are some areas you can't access without TMs

Walloon Brabant(Romsey):
- Historic Sites/Castle
- Psychic Gym/Show

Flemish Brabant(Easthallow):
It's a wild area you can explore but there's a second-place you can enter
- Digitalis filled forest
Fairy & Grass types are common here. Which one depends if it's day or night.
- Simple Farmhouse.
This is where you officially encounter Jules
- There are two exits. One will lead you to the farmhouse the other will lead you to Brussels

Brussels(Sirencester):
- Ghost/Fighting gym/show
One thing to note; The ghost-type gym is in a run-down building outside the city. There won't be an audience inside but there will be some people waiting outside. You might encounter some ghost-type pokemon on your way there.
- Restaurant
- Clothing shop/Hair salon
- Market/Trade Spot

Limburg(Goldenleaf):
Autumn like Wild Area

Namur(Lunaris):
Snowy city
- Ice gym/show
- Hotel
- Statue
Once you beat the game there is a secret route you can take to Frost Cavern

Ivywood:
- Flying/Electric Gym/show
This is going to be a very busy city, you'll see a lot of electric-type pokemon walking around and people taking Chairlifts.
You'll go to a concert hall for the Electric Show and take Chairlifts to a dome(That should look familiar to SwSh players) for the Flying gym Battle.
- Hotel
- Battle Cafe
- Hair Salon
- restaurant
- Clothing shop

Liège:
- Fairy Gym
- Dragon Gym

Luxembourg(Halsworthy):
- Elite Four
- Champions
- Princess Mila's Castle

- Endorsement Letter. Professor Fir will offer to write you one. However, you'll get after beating Michel and Monique
- Camping Gear
- Bike
- Surfboard and paddle

Story: The starting point

Customization

The game starts like any other pokemon game. You pick your character's looks and choose your name (You can also name your sibling. They'll look similar to how you customize your character).

You can also pick your personality. It won't have a big impact, just that your animation will be slightly different. (i.e. Entering a battle, clearing Challenges, winning Battles)
Nature types you can pick from:
Calm/Quiet (Default)
Gentle
Sassy
Brash
Timid
Serious

The Beginning

We start off in Historian Amir's studies, It's a simple dimly lit library with a cozy atmosphere. Though it appears that you're all by yourself.
"I'm so sorry for the wait." A low modulated voice spoke as Amir arrived in the room followed by his Gardevoir, who's holding onto a stack of books. "Typically the Professor would do these types of things but it seems that Fir has completely forgotten." He would explain before clearing his voice and taking a deep breath.

"Welcome to the world of Pokemon!" He would start while sending out a Wyvereon. "I am Amir, Belna's Historian and this feisty one here is my Pokemon. Our region is filled to the brim with History, Culture, and most importantly talented trainers." Amir explains as he would reveal a book filled with all the Gym leaders and Champions over the years, including the newer ones, regardless of what game you're playing. "We humans live alongside Pokemon from children playing to helping one another out. However, don't let this closeness fool you. There are still many things we don't know about Pokemon that still fill our world with so many surprises! There's even so much I have yet to uncover with generations worth of work..." Amir would begin to go on about the history of pokemon before being stopped by his Gardevoir. "Oh- My apologies." Amir quickly composes himself. "I don't mean to hold up, I'm sure you're eager to start your next journey."

Cue the title card and the start of your Pokemon Story.

The next scene starts off with you sitting on your bed, playing on your rotom phone. Your room was simple compared to your siblings' overly decorated/messy room. Though your family Minccino enjoys staying in your room because of that.

While you were on your phone, you scrolled through some articles about the Gym challenge, Princess Mila's Coronation, and most importantly tonight's meteor shower. (You can skip over them if you wish). Once you finish reading the last article, Your sibling rushes into your room.

Marie: You're still on your phone? Come on (Player), Casper and Aline are waiting for us. If we don't hurry, the Professor is going to forget and run off somewhere! And don't forget to put on your shoes!

Audrick: (Player) Did you forget? If we're late we're gonna miss our chance to get our pokemon before the Gym Challenge starts! I bet Casper and Aline are at the Professor's place already! Hurry up and put on your shoes!

In a hurry, your sibling runs out of your room and you stand up from your bed. You go to your closet to put on your hat, book bag, and shoes. (You can explore your house at this point.)

When you go downstairs towards the front door, You'll see your mom and your sibling talking before they notice you. "Oh, there you are. I was just about to give (Sibling) something before you two headed out to the professor's lab." Your mother speaks up as you approach them. She then gives you and your sibling five repeal bottles before sighing and shakes her head. "If only there were a safer route for you guys to take to Hampstead."

Audrick: We'll be fine. Going through route 1 will be nothing, plus soon I'll have a cool pokemon who will help if we need it!

Marie: We'll be safe. Hampstead isn't too far off. Not to mention Alien has her Suidor, so we'll be safe.

Mom chuckles and crosses her arms at their response. "Oh well, you two keep an eye on one another okay." She started as she stepped off to the side. " I'll be at Casper's getting ready for the meteor shower. when you guys get back."

Once you get outside, you're free to look around. Your sibling will be waiting for you up ahead, so when you walk near them they'll start walking/running forward, and will stop if you're too far behind.

When you get to the bridge, a small cut scene will start with Casper and Aline standing in front of the bridge as you and your sibling approach them. Aline will huff and place her hands on her hips. "You guys took your sweet time…" She sighed. "I was begging to think you two forgot or changed your minds!"

Audrick:(Player) was on their phone… I was waiting for them by the door for almost half an hour before I checked upon them.
-Audrick is obviously exaggerating, you're player makes a small gesture depending on the personality-

Marie: We had a small incident but it's all good now.

"It was so hard to keep her from going into the woods." Casper whimpered as he dropped his shoulders. "There's been some ghost types wandering around here recently… I didn't want you and Audrick/Marie to get caught up by one." He would admit.

"Those are just stories to keep little kids from wandering into the woods on their own!" Aline would roll her eyes. "Plus my Suidor could take them." She would exclaim as her Suidor would huff in pride.

Audrick: Yeah and once we get our own pokemon's we don't have much to worry about! No more relying on others to get to and to town.

"My point exactly!" Aline agreed. "Now let's go, we chatted long enough!"

Marie: I don't know…I mean Hampstead isn't far, but our mom gave us some repeals, we should use some before we head in.

"It should be fine," Aline reassured her with a smile. "Save your repeals for the future. Now let's go before it's too late. "

Casper shakes his head as the group heads into route one. Because you don't have a pokemon yet it will cut over to the neighboring town. Though a mysterious Pokemon cry catches your attention.

Entering Hampstead

You enter Hampstead alongside the rest of the group. The town you memorized off the top of your head, from your mother's Jewelry shop, the Pokemon Center, and the ever-changing Gym building. A normally quiet place now busy with the preparations of the Gym Challenge.
Aline lets out a small cry of excitement, her Suidor copying. "I'm so excited!"

"Why you already got your Pokemon," Casper questioned as he stepped forward. "If anything, us three should be the one that's excited."

"I'm not just excited that you guys are getting your Pokemon, I'm excited that we're so close to joining the gym challenge together!" She would go on to explain.

Marie: But standing here talking about it gives Professor Fir more time to wander off!

Audrick: We don't have time to sit here chatting! Fir could be getting ready to leave his lab at any moment!

An exaggerated gasp would escape from both Aline and Suidor. "Oh Arceus, you're right!" Aline would start to bolt off. "Come on before it's too late!"

Casper would simply sigh and mutter. "I can't understand her sometimes." Before chasing after her, your sibling follows along with a small giggle. You are now left on your own to explore Hampstead. Unfortunately, you can't leave the town. Anytime you try you'll say something like "I don't want to use up Mom's repeals quite yet…" or "Maybe I should wait till after I get my pokemon."

There isn't much for you to do, apart from going into the shops but you can talk to Michel and Monique.

You walk up to the gym as the two were talking, they don't seem to notice you at the moment. "Every year, more and more trainers keep signing up for this challenge Michel, but not even half of them make it to the semi-finals." Monique started. "I'm telling you, we need to go harder on the ones who need us to get their endorsement letters

Michel sighs at his sister's comment. "I get what you're saying but don't you think it's unfair to be too challenging at the very start, Monique. Please tell me that you won't do anything crazy during the battles."

"But if we don't do anything now people would just think it's going to be a breeze." Monique would roll her eyes before being startled by you. "Oh my! I didn't see you. Are you going to try getting your endorsement letter? Well, I hope you'll bring your A-game!"

"We'll see you tomorrow, try to be here early." Michel would warmly smile.

The two will then walk off, leaving you by yourself one more time. So you finally go to professor Fir's lab.

You rush to the Professor's lab and as Ailne reaches to open the door. A mysterious man with a cap and glasses opens it instead. It was quiet, everyone seemed surprised at first. And as always, Aline was the first to speak up. "Is Professor here?" She would ask as she peaked around the man. "Those three are supposed to get their Pokemon today." she explained while pointing behind her.

The man would look behind her before processing everything. When it all clicked, he chuckled to himself. "So that's what he was forgetting…" He muttered to himself. "You just missed him, unfortunately. He went to Amir's study to prepare for something."

The group would let out an annoyed groan.

Audrick: ARGH! We were so close!
Marie: All that hassle...

"Quick, let's go to Amir's place then!" Aline suggested but before she (and Audrick) could rush off towards Amir's place, the mysterious man stops her/them.

"Wait! No need to rush off!" He quickly spoke up. " I'm the professor's part-time assistant. I have permission to give you your starters when he isn't around. You can call me Victor."

Casper(and Marie) Sighs in relief as Victor lets the group inside the lab. Aline would sit down in one of the chairs and pet her Suidor as she watched Victor let out the three starters.

First was Golpuff who yawns and simply rolls past Chorter, who has a mischievous look on his face. Scormalia hisses as soon as bubbles are launched at him. Scormalia will then use tackle but barely misses.

Please check out the Rival(s) post to see what starters they would pick.

Once you pick your Pokemon, Victor escorts you all towards route 1. "As much as I love to see you guys battle with your pokemon for the first time, this is where we split. "He would smile. "But first, let me give you all these." He would then give you all x10 Pokeballs. "I hope to see you four soon!"

*you can now use your Pokedex*

The group waves as Victor heads back to Hampstead. Once he was out of sight you all walked into Route 1.

Route 1

You all head into route 1, you do have a choice if you want to catch Pokemon or not. You might have a hard time avoiding the trainers wandering around though. If you need to, you can go back into Hampstead to heal your pokemon(s) or buy Items.

While you're going through Route 1, you can talk to your Sibling, Aline, and Casper.

Casper and Marie doesn't catch a Pokemon in route 1

Aline and Audrick does catch a Pokemon in route 1
Belette is temporarily added to Audrick's team.
Hoothoot is temporarily added to Aline's team.

Casper's Home

You all make it to Casper's house only to see Amir, Fir, your mother, and Casper's mom setting up for the meteor shower.

"Profesor Fir!?" the group shouted angrily as they made their way over to the Profesor.

"I can't believe it! You were coming here all along!?" Aline fumed.

Adrick: We could have gotten our Pokemons here while setting up for tonight!

"Woah, why is everyone so upset today?" The professor asked confused. "I thought, you guys wanted me to set up the telescope!"

"No, you said you were going to give us the telescope after you gave us our pokemon!" Casper yelled for the first time.

Marie: Even if we did agree on you coming, you still left the Pokemon at your lab!

The gears in the professor's head slowly started to turn before her face was scribbled in shock. "... Oh that WAS today…" He would whisper to himself before clearing his voice. "Hey, but It looks like Victor took care of everything!" He would chuckle awkwardly.

"Perhaps if you organized yourself a bit better, Victor wouldn't have need to take care of anything." Amir spoke up as he approached the group.

"The Historians here too!?" Aline gaw dropped in disbelief. "Don't tell me Fir invited you instead of remembering literally anything else..."

"Indeed, I would have watched the shower at home but it's nice to have the chance to educate everyone about what makes this day so special." He smiled eagerly. "You see today is also the day the current royal family took over Belna and…" Amir would start going on his ramble. The camera will slowly zoom into his face as the dialogue box starts to speed up. Soon enough he would take a deep breath as his eyes lit up. "And that's what makes this day so special."

"Hey, let's battle, I wanna see your pokemon in action!" Aline would call out from behind Amir.

"I'll heal your Pokemon's so feel free to go all out!" Fir smiled.

Completely ignoring Amir, you will proceed to battle, Aline, Casper, and your Sibling until the sun starts to fall.

"Woah this is crazy, we're actually one step close to joining the gym challenge!" Aline smiled eagerly.

Audrick: I know right, It feels like I've been waiting my whole life.
Marie: It's all happening so quickly. I can't wait any longer.

"Oh, the Gym challenge?" Fir questioned as he finished adjusting the telescope. "You know, Amir and I can write you all endorsement letters."

"What no way," Casper spoke up. "It would almost be like cheating getting an endorsement letter from you two."

Audrick: You guys have only seen us battle with one another. I don't think that's enough to earn a letter.

"Yeah, we all agreed we'd work hard to get approved by the Hampstead Gym leaders." Aline crossed her arms.

Marie: Thank you so much for the offer though.

* I mean if your offering…
Marie: Stop kidding around (player)
Audrick: It's three against one (player)

* No thanks.

The professor sighs and shakes his head with a smile. "Well if you say so."

"We'll cheer you on from the sidelines." Amirs nodded.

"Oh look, the Meteor shower is about to start." Your mom spoke up.

"Hurry up and settle down, I want to take great pictures tonight!" Casper's mother exclaimed.

You all gathered around and the next cut scene starts. As you all watched the meteor shower, something catches your eyes. It had a yellow/blue glow and you watch as it falls into route 1. Curious to see what it was, you went after it, catching the attention of your sibling.

As you enter the woods, you are alarmed by how many ghost types filled it. You can encounter them but they flee after the first attacks.
You wander deeper into the woods and were soon stopped by your Sibling.

Audrick: There you are, why did you run off so suddenly? Let's head back, they're way too many ghost pokemon here.

Marie: Are crazy? Why would you just run off without saying anything? Come on let's go back before everyone gets worried.

You two were about to head back to Caspers's house but stopped at the sound of Lanssaert's cry. The ghost Pokémon starts to increase more and more until you have no choice but to fight a mysterious-looking one. It is a 2 v 1 battle. The Pokémon will whip out all of your team and before you two could runoff the pokemon lets out another cry, and you'll be engulfed by a white light.

You soon wake up in your room. You're a bit confused but notice something in your hand. Before you could get up, your sibling runs into your room with a confused expression on their face.

Marie: That was just a nightmare right?

Audrick: You had that were dream too right?

You shrug and look down at the palm of your hand was a white feather with a weird orb attached to it or a black scale. Your sibling would open the palm of their hand revealing one or the other before muttering.

"So it wasn't a dream."

<this is where to story will split for Aurora and Eclipse>
