[ASM & Hex] Limiter for moves and abilities...

  • Hi there,
    I just wanted to know if there is any limiter value to the moves, abilites in the rom...
    ,
    ,
    for eg in an fire red rom I have 400 moves.
    and in any pointer there is something like hex and reverse of that no.of moves...
    and when i add 100 moves then I have a total of 500 moves.
    then in the previous pointer there will the hex and reverse of 500...
    .
    .
    does there exists such value of limiter for moves and abilities table???

  • not really iirc
    moves have a hardcoded limit (512 including index 0x0), but this has been circumvented with the triple-byte learnsets
    abilities just require a check for the index in the necessary part of the battle system
