GBA emulator for wii! NO modchips!

ok, all you need is:

a copy of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
An SD card/reader

and thats it!

Heres what to do:
copy your zelda save file to your SD card

download the following from here

Twilight Hack
.ELF

replace your .bin save file (should be in private/wii/RZDE or something like that)

i think you can match up the folders.

copy the save from the SD card to your wii (make sure you use the one for your region!), you might want to back-up your origional save file.

put the .elf on the root of your SD card

load zelda, then talk to the man. code appears on the screen, follow the on screen instructions.

when you next load the wii menu, you'll notice the homebrew channel, this is the channel you'll be using.

make a new folder on your SD card called "apps" without quotes.

download the VBA emulator from http://wiibrew.org/w/images/0/0a/VBA_1.7.2.zip

extract the files and put the "vbawii" folder in the "apps" folder of your SD card.

make the following folders

vba/roms
vba/bios
vba/save

put roms/bios in there.

load files

This thread is pointless, we already have a thread that explains how to run emukidd's VBAWii via Homebrew. And sorry to say but the way both of you explain the installation process is terrible, you might end up Bricking someones wii. Here is a link to the other thread.

Also you should explain how to use the Homebrew Channel as the Twilight Hack is just mainly used to install the HBC anyway. Just visit www.wiibrew.org to learn the real and safe way to install these apps for your wii.

Seriously, the way the TC explained it is just so, blah. I cant even read half of the "sentances". Take caution when Homebrewing, as one wrong move can brick your wii. TC forgot to express that. If you dont know what you are doing then be extra carefull when dealing with homebrew. and you have to have your sd card formated to Fat16/Fat for this stuff to work.

Step by step install for Twilight Hack(From wiibrew):

Begin by formatting your SD card to FAT16 if it is not already (in Windows it's just called "FAT"). FAT32 should also work in the latest release. (Formatting will erase ALL data!)
- If you get an error such as "Failed to read boot.elf (-1)!" then reformatting your SD card with the Official SD Card Format Tool may help.
- To do this on Mac OS X, open the Disk Utility (in Finder click the Go menu, select Utilities and find it there). Your SD card should show up as two entries. Choose the second entry, and then go to the Erase tab. Select the FAT16 option in the Volume Format dropdown, and assign a name to the device (if you want to), then click Erase. Confirm that you want to erase, and then follow the rest of this guide when it's done.
Copy the "private" directory from the download to your SD card.
Take your homebrew Wii executable (elf or dol file) and save it in the root directory of your SD card as "boot.elf" or "boot.dol" as appropriate.
Now, put the SD card into your Wii and turn it on.
Go into Wii Options --> Data Management --> Save Data --> Wii.
Find your Zelda save, click on it, click "Erase", and click Yes.
Open the SD card and select the "Twilight Hack" save that corresponds to your game region. Note: Some people are having problems with the Wii not "seeing" the save file on the SD card. If you are experiencing this, try setting the archive bit for the data.bin file - in Windows this can be either be done from the file's properties dialog (right click on it in Windows Explorer and check the box) or from the command line using "attrib +a <path to data.bin>". Click copy and then yes. Now exit out of the menu.
Insert The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game disc and run the game.
- If you have the USA version of the game, load the "TwilightHack0" or "TwilightHack2" version of the game as appropriate (see above).
- Otherwise, load the only "Twilight Hack" save game.
Once in the game, either walk backwards or talk to the man standing in front of you.
