    UNDERGROUND - A TWEWY/Pokémon RP

The UnderGround (or known as UG for short), a chessboard for the Reaper's Game that mirrors Shibuya, that tests Players to the limit, a warground between the two, a second chance for those who have lost their lives. But is Shibuya the only place with an UnderGround?

    UNDERGROUND - A TWEWY/Pokémon RP

Sinnoh is also the host to the Reaper's Game, controlled by the Composer and his minions. Sinnoh's rules, are one of the same, with minor adjustments to suite the needs of the Players.

    What's different?

Every week, teenagers are thrust into the UnderGround for a week to win back their lives. Each player has a Pokémon Spirit, each being different from the next, and each being a Pokémon of Sinnoh. 14 of these teenagers are spirits of the Legendary Pokémon of Sinnoh. With these 'Spirit Pins', each Player, when in battle, take a likeness to the Pokémon and can use their powers to defeat their foes. 'Partner Pins' can also be obtained and, when used, summon a Pokémon to join you in fighting for a limited amount of time, before it needs recharging. These 'Partner Pins' are the Player's Pokémon that are most dear to them.

    UNDERGROUND - A TWEWY/Pokémon RP

You are one of the fourteen spirits of the Legendary Pokémon. Fight through the week and you might jus get your life back.

Keep in note. This Roleplay does not tolerate grammarless text. Don't apply unless you're willing to put in the effort to make this Roleplay work. Also, you must have some knowledge of The World Ends With You, otherwise you'll be pretty much clueless throughout the Roleplay.

  • Ay, you asked for us to post completed SUs in here, you got it~

Name: Zora Notte, Zoe for a nickname
    Age: 18
    Gender: Female
Appearance: Standing at roughly 5'5, Zora's sort of short for her age. While being 18 in reality, she looks about 13-15. Her chest is roughly a D-cup, and her weight is average to that of someone the age of how she looks. Her skin is a bit of a tanned peach, particularly because she's got a Venetian sort of look and thus has that kind of tone to her skin (and I suppose one could say that another would have that tone if living in Phenac City in Orre). Her hair is a fair blonde, and in a wavy style ends at roughly her chest. As for her eyes, they're a beautiful cobalt blue, though when in a dark area, they seem to be more of a purple sort of color.

Zora tends to wear a very light blue gypsy-like dress (where the sleeves sort of fall at the holes the arms stick out of), with some regular blue spots on each side. You could say her top kind of resembles that of a Zora's from Ocarina of Time (which is also where I got her name, but it is an actual name in real life). She may sometimes wear gloves that match her top's basic color. As for the rest of her body, she likes wearing a light blue tiger-schemed pair of jeans with the color scheme matching that of her top's, although it seems to be just a bit darker. As for her feet, Zora likes wearing fancy blue slipper-like shoes. She absolutely detests high heels, and would never wear such things, despite her regular rank.

And, unfortunately, I really can't get an image of her since I made her myself, but I can give an image of an Ocarina of Time Zora, for those who don't know what it looks like. This is what I was thinking of.

Oh, and for legendary forme... I've decided to post a picture~ https://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...n/Giratina.png
As for origin forme... The only difference is that Zora (in her legendary forme, based on the picture I posted) has a long gray skirt with what looks like a white spike pattern on opposite ends. The hair in front of her face also goes back like the crescent moon thing on her head. And the wings are separated into three parts. Her hair is also cut, ending at her hips before it can turn gray.
Personality: Because she was always spoiled as a child with riches and objects and anything of the sort, Zora may seem to be a bit obsessed with money at times. She thinks money makes the world go 'round, much like others. As for her love of materials, you couldn't call her a materialist, per se, but she doesn't like losing any of her possessions. For her typical personality, she seems to be carefree and often a bit of a party animal. Although this doesn't seem so great for one of her status, Zora also tends to be very studious and thus takes up an interest in Pokemon breeding. She also likes watching/participating in battling and contests, though both do not beat her love of breeding.
History: Living in the wealthiest of homes throughout all of the Orre region, Zora was always spoiled and given two Pokemon every year for Christmas since she was 8, up until she turned 13. Once she had six Pokemon, she began to travel around the Orre region, competing in whatever tournaments were going on. After competing and winning in all of them, Zora was compelled to move out of the Orre region and go to many other regions.

The first of her stops was Sinnoh, where she was able to evolve the two of her first Pokemon ever (she actually got them as a pair). She began to compete in the contests in Hearthome and managed to win all the ribbons except for the ones in the Master rank contest. She also managed to collect six of the eight badges. At this point, she was around 16.

Before she headed off to Johto, however, Zora entered the Game Corner in Veilstone. Even though she was rich and whatnot, Zora had an obsession for gambling, and was quite lucky in most cases. She was able to get a lot of the things she wanted from the game corner, and finally headed off to Johto. It was then that when she arrived, she received terrible news. Her mother, whom she had loved the most, was shot while attending an opera. Zora stayed in a state of depression for quite a few weeks, her Pokemon sympathizing with her.

After a while, Zora supposedly got out of such a state and began to take on the gyms. She only managed to beat the first three when she came across Goldenrod's Game Corner. Playing there and winning lots of prizes, Zora recalled having a lot more fun at the Game Corner back in Sinnoh. She headed over there as soon as possible, and since then had stayed in the Veilstone Area. However, though it seemed like she was over her mother's death earlier, Zora soon went crazy, gambling at every chance. She went to more parties, actually got drunk, and would barely escape going home with some guy. Her death is something not to be laughed at either. You see, being rich and acting it always comes with a price. You may know of this or not, but the "story" behind the Old Chateau, where supposedly the grandpa and/or the little girl were poisoned. This happened to Zora, except in a different way. A money-crazed fool sent out a horde of Croagunk and Toxicroak. The result afterwards was hideous. Zora found herself inhaling the Toxic attack, and even swallowed (by mistake) a couple Gunk Shots. Not being able to take as much poison as a Pokemon could, Zora died almost immediately after she was attacked. You could say the attacker was lucky, but the true reason is perhaps that Zora still had her mind clouded from her mother's death, and couldn't think of a way to escape.
Entry Fee: Zora's entry fee is none other than her carefree personality. Scratch that. Her entire personality was taken, and she became an emotionless shell of a person, unable to have any feelings whatsoever. This is perhaps because her personality practically made her entire character up, so without it brings a great change to Zora. This emotionless demeanor also gave her a nearly merciless attitude, which could be considered part of a personality. Oh, and to stretch out what I mean by "emotionless", let's say someone tells Zora they love her, or she gets badly injured. She wouldn't be happy that someone loved her, nor would she feel sadness or pain if she were injured. She would just shrug it off, like it was nothing important. In general, you could say Zora is now a dark version of what she was before.
Spirit: Giratina (it doesn't match Zora's original personality, but it sure as heck pretty much matches her new personality)
Partner Pins: Seeing how Glaceon is being used by someone else… (D=) Milotic, Umbreon, Misdreavus

    Spoiler:

'Tis also my final (you'll notice I *finally* added Zora's legendary forme), so...

  • There's an image in the appearance for her legendary form now. I still need to describe them both. I have too much free time... XD

Name: Yukito "Yukari" Sairenji [although also goes by Yuki for short]
    Age: 12
    Gender: Female
    Appearance:
    Spoiler:

    Personality:
Yukito, once a calm and peaceful person by nature, as a result of his entrance fee has been shrunken down into Yukari, a girl with the nature of a spoiled brat. Yukari is the type of girl who likes to dress well, and can't possibly stand dirtying herself for the sake of another - one feature that is the opposite of her previous, selfless, personality. In her mind, she is number one, and she deserves anything she wants. If she doesn't get what she wants, she'll eventually break down into tears, her last line of defense, before beginning to sulk. She has some, but not a lot of compassion for others, as she likes to hide her feelings. When she's embarrassed, she usually puts on a defensive front, usually calling people names while her face is dyed crimson. Ultimately, she's a pretty tsundere girl. Her willingness to participate in the game is fueled only by her determination to get her old body back, for as much as she is able to accept her new state of body and mind (although she is uncomfortable with it), she can't stand what she's become, and the thought I've been played around with like a game piece by some higher ups even more. This aside, her original personality, that of Yukito, does its best to try and keep this fake personality in check, which leads to making the girl look rather emotional, flipping from one attitude one moment, to another the next, though this could be the whole reason she possesses the pin of Mesprit, the being of emotion, to begin with.

    History:
Yukito was born to a rather wealthy family that lived in Hearthome. They made their living in selling accessories and outfits for those who were to participate in the Pokemon contests. As a young child, Yukito had no interest in such things. Then, when he was six, his little sister was born. His parents had always wanted a daughter, as a girl would be better suited to take over the family business than a boy, and when Kanna was born all of their attention shifted from Yukito to her. He grew up, at the beginning, with a large distaste for his little sister, but his parents punished him for showing any dislike for the spoiled girl, and thus he was forced to develop a fake affection for the girl. As the years flipped by, the girl began to show an interest in fashion, getting whatever she wanted from her rich parents while Yukito was pushed over to the role of her babysitter of sorts. He had to go where she went, in order to make sure she didn't do anything dangerous. But, he felt his sister as a whole was a dangerous person. Her mood changed at the drop of a pin (usually leading to people getting angry with her), and her tendency to purchase anything and everything would lead to her maturing into a dangerous type of person - not someone you'd want running a company. But, Yukito had no choice but to comply with the wishes of his parents, and while he and his sister did not get along due to differing values, the two were forced to stay together. Yukito's death came quickly and suddenly, as he took the full force of tumbling construction-Onix, the large rock Pokemon landing on top of him after he pushed his younger sister out of the way.

    Entry Fee:
Yukito's entrance fee is not something to be scoffed at. Due to his constant attitude towards wanting to protect his younger sister, and her willingness to want him off her back, his fee was something a little less than desirable for a boy of 18. He was reduced to nothing but a girl of his sister's age, complete with the "weaknesses" he seems to think make her incapable of independence: small body, fashion obsession, and even a similar personality.

    Spirit: Mesprit
    Partner Pins: Gardevoir, Mismagius, Glaceon
RP Sample: Taken from "The World Ends with You: Another Game"

  • Name: Katashi Suzuki

    Age: 14

    Gender: Male

Appearance: Image. Katashi is short for his age, but he prefers he was raised to believe that the best things come in small packages. His hair, which he refuses to stylize and just combs it down, is naturally blonde, but recently Katashi made the decision to dye the entire thing a dark green. The color matches the iris of his eyes, which usually are staring emotionlessly into space. He was never the outdoorsy type, so his pale skin is free of scars, blemishes and bruises. His typical clothing consists of an off-white button down shirt covered by a grey, sleeveless sweater. As for his pants, he wears baggy, dark green cargo pants with so many pockets he could probably smuggle fifty pokeballs. Around his waist is a camouflage-colored fanny pack where he keeps all his essentials. Lastly are his favorite (once) white sneakers, which have turned a grimy grey color due to years of use.

In his Legendary Form, Katashi's skin turns a grayish blue color and his hair reverts back to its natural blond color. Rubies spontaneously appear on his body, specifically on his forehead and the back of his hands. Uxie's tails jut out from his lower back and in the after his first transformation he modifies his shirt to allow the tails to swing freely. There are small rubies on his tails as well, and whenever he uses a move all the jewels flash.

Personality: Katashi is not the kind of person you want to spend your time with on a beautiful weekend. Although I wouldn't go so far to say he's completely anti-social, Katashi does have problems making friends. But not because he's shy or unappealing, but because of the way he treats those he meets. For a fourteen year old Katashi is rather smart for his age; he is able to solve sometimes life threatening problems with little to no difficulty. This is where his problems lies as he lets no one forgot how intelligent he is. When speaking to others (except his elders of more than five years) he speaks in a very condescending voice, as if he were some higher being, even though most people are taller than him. He's also quite the grammar nazi and will gladly interrupt someone when they say something incorrectly, but at the same time he absolutely despises it when people interrupt him. Only recently have his parents brought up his obvious attitude problem and lately he has been trying to change himself, but to no avail. Aside from all this, Katashi is a very determined character and will not rest until he figures out a way to beat the Reaper's Game, or better yet, find a loophole in the rules.

History: Ever since Katashi was born he lived the good life in Jubilife City. Both of his parents were anchor people on Jubilife TV, and although they didn't see him much, they did indeed love him. With so much money at the Suzuki family's disposal, Katashi always went to the most established learning institutions available, no matter what the price. This ended up being on of the major factors of his vast intelligence, and indirectly his unlovable attitude. At the age of seven his parent sent him to a special Trainer School in the Kanto region, even though there was one only a few blocks from their home. For the next two years, Katashi would be without any true parental figures, which bothered him a lot. In fact, it only helped distanced him from all the other kids at the boarding school. When he finally learned to cope with his problem, it had been too late and he had already been deemed the 'freak' of the bunch. Luckily, by this time the school has enacted a new program which paired up each child with a newly hatched Pokemon so they could learn the basics of training, battling, nursing and breeding. Katashi received his first and only friend, a shy Charmander. The two hit off from the start, unlike most of the kids and their partners, so it was no surprise that Katashi's was the only to evolve by the end of the partnership. However, this only made him hated by the other children and things might have gotten ugly if the students hadn't graduated only a month later. Katashi returned home with new found knowledge, but a mysterious empty spot in his heart. He was unable to reconnect with his parents and the fact that they still worked extremely long hours didn't help at all. For the next five years, little more than 'hellos' and 'goodbyes' were passed between them. One day, the three of them decided to walk to a nearby café to get something to eat instead of the usual dinner. This had greatly boosted Katashi's hopes as he thought he would finally be able to reconnect with his parents, but the night didn't go exactly as planned. As they crossed one of the many streets of Jubilife, a crazed driver turned the corner and didn't even attempt to slow down when his headlights shone on the Suzuki family. Without even thinking, Katashi pushed his parent hard enough so they wouldn't get hit, but fell to the ground in the process. The last thing he heard was the scream of both his parents, and he died with a smile on his face knowing that at least they cared that he would be no more.

Entry Fee: For participating the Reaper's Game, Katashi had to parent's lives on the line. If he fails, then they too will meet their untimely deaths in one way or another.

    Name: Renkuu "Ren" Sitami
    Age: 16
    Gender: Female
    Appearance:
    Spoiler:

Ren is perhaps a touch shorter than your average 16 year old, standing at 163cm. She's a light build, about 45kg, as the cancer she had made her lose almost a third of her body weight. Her favourite assortment of clothes is a long green singlet top over a long sleeved white and green shirt. To avoid embarresment in case her singlet top flips up, she wears a pair of leggings. Her favourite boots are dark grey and green. She wears a green bead in her hair and a necklace she recieved from her best friend. A string is wrapped around her stomach just because she can.

    (Legendary Form to come)

Personality: Ren was quiet and shy before she was diagnosed with cancer. She barely spoke to anyone and only had one friend from school. Her friend was the complete opposite of her and tried to coax out a fun side in Ren, but failed to do so. Ren even rarely spoke to her friend, she was too scared to disappoint her if she said something that upset her. When diagnosed with cancer, she spent a few months in hospital at a time and became extremely popular. Ren realised the popularity felt good and acted more like her friend; cheerful, happy and brave. Of course, she was still shy inside, she was just afraid of losing the new friends she had aquired.

    History:
Ren lived with her Mum in Jubilife City, not the best place for a quiet teen to live. Jubilife was always a happy and loud place, each day there was some kind of event on at the TV Station, a new PokéTch application was released or some kid boasting of a Pokémon he had recieved from the GTS. Ren went to the Pokémon School even though, although quiet, was quite an experienced trainer, she was just afraid to show it. Her only friend was the only one who saw exactly what she could do, and suggested she show it to the world by challenging the gym at Oreburg. Ren quietly turned down the idea and shoved it to the "maybe later" pile.
One day after a walk through Jubilife, her friend noticed a large bruise on her back. Confused on how she came to have it, she showed her mother. Her mother took her into the hospital in Jubilife and the doctor's took her blood for testing. Not long later, the doctors diagnosed Ren with
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was hospitalised and stayed in there for many months, undergoing treatments and radiation. Her school friends came to see her everyday and Ren had come to like the attention she had been given. Her old friend warned her the sympathetic attention may be bad for her, but Ren waved the suggestion away. Ren then aimed to be like her friend; happy, cheerful and a contagious smiling idiot. She died soon after, the leukemia winning the war in her body. Her mother and her old friend were the only ones who's life she affected the most. Her other 'friends' attended the funeral and didn't think much of her afterwards.

    Entry Fee:
Her cancer. Ren enjoyed the attention she was given from the cancer and was afraid that if she lost it, she would no longer have anyone. Although her cancer is gone and she's pain free, she still keeps the personality she adapted to as a memory of her friends. Inside though, she's the quiet and shy girl she's supposed to be.

    Spirit: Shaymin / Sky Forme

    Partner Pins:

    • Leafeon (a present she received from her mother, which evolved into a Leafeon when Ren ventured to Eterna Forest one day),
    • Mawile (her friend's favourite Pokémon. After her friend came back from a trip to Solceon Town, she gave the egg to Ren),
    • Rapidash (her first Pokémon her friend helped her catch when they travelled to Oreburg.)

  • Name: Terra Sutherland
    Age: 17
    Gender: female
Appearance: Here is an old character appearance for you

    Quote:
Human Appearance:At a first glance many people ignore Terra based on her appearance. She has a very simple outlook on herself, as she doesn't care to much about her appearance. Terra has a slightly tanned complexion, however at night in the right lighting, her skin will glow to an almost ghost-like complexion. Terra has long red hair that flows down to her shoulders and a little more down. Her hair line is directly in the middle of her head, which causes her to comb her hair to the sides of her forehead. Terra's forehead is slightly retracted and barely shows itself on her face. Jutting out of her forehead is her eyebrows which retain a small amount of bushiness on the sides. But otherwise stay clean and easy to spot. Terra has dark cerulean irises that are plainly visible in the dark. In the light it is easy to spot a small amount of bloodshot in the sides of her eyes. Terra's nose is slightly slanted down the middle, though eventually ends in a point tilted upwards. Terra's cheekbones jut out of her plain face easily, however her cheeks are unnoticeably visible on her face. Giving it a gaunt-like appearance to behold. Terra's jaw is not very wide, giving it a very sharp look leading toward her small chin. Terra's mouth is rather small, as her lips keep their deflated look very well. She normally uses a small amount of cheap black lipstick on her lips.

Terra's neck is rather thin, however a small Adams apple is plainly seen. Her shoulders are scrunched in toward her torso, however her arms are wider and easily distinguished. She has reasonably sized breasts that neither sway nor dismiss the opposite sex, just keeps them at bay. Her stomach is not flat but retains a small amount of weight around it. Terra's thighs are wider then her torso and are seen to be as wide as shoulder to shoulder. Her buttocks and calves reasonably jut out of her thighs, but are only there to provide mild cushioning. Her knees are slightly wide and knobbly, which causes her not to wear shorts or skirts without stockings. Terra's feet are small and easily unnoticed.

Terra normally wears a light pair of black aviator sunglasses on her face. She has a simple black short sleeved blouse with a light blue t-shirt underneath. Terra wears long jeans that partially cover her green sneakers. Terra does not wear very much makeup except for a small amount of eye liner and her black lipstick. Her hair is normally kept in very good condition and is combed regularly. It has a very smooth appearance

Dialga appearance: After her death her appearance changed drastically. Her head has almost entirely been replaced with Dialga's almost rock horns and face. Yet upon looking closely her original features still reside within what appears to intimidate people. Terra's skin has been replaced with a fine blue metallic material that glows if looked at for to long. Dialga's crystal appears in the middle of her chest, just above what appears to be her breasts, however are barely noticeable due to the metal texture of her former flesh. The crystal however is shrunk down from it's former size and now appears more like an ornament Her legs and hips all retain their previous human shape to them, however there certain steel wingtips jutting out of her elbows and parts of her legs. Terra's feet have been entirely replaced with Dialga's sauropod feet with almost unnoticeable differences. Her blouse she wore when she was alive she still wears on her. Dialga's diamond is noticeable where her top button is left undone and is easy to be seen.
Personality: Terra is normally described as a "nice girl". She always finds the time to thank people and do favors for them for no particular reason. After her sister died much of her life was devoted to coping with grief. Drowning in existentialism she became jaded and cynical, preferring to openly critique things to heal a gaping wound in her heart. She finds it easier to harm and manipulate people then to be courteous and kind. Causing her to be distrusted by many people throughout her life and the rest of her existence. She is a very down to Earth person, and would openly shout at someone crying or whining about the current state they are in. She voices her opinion completely, no matter what consequences or company she is with.

History: Terra was born and raised in the city of Goldenrod. She took to admiring her sister, who was already a world renowned pokemon trainer (and eventual gym trainer in the Goldenrod gym). For most of her life she recalls living in a small, but luxurious house, watching the sunset and the birds fly through to the horizon beyond. Terra went to pokemon school, eventually took a job at a local bike shop and soon procured a pokemon of her own. Her pokemon was a Sandshrew who she spent almost all her time with training. After gaining some renown as a pokemon trainer, she began to branch out of Goldenrod but never left the city permanently. Only for a few nights or days before returning home with Sandshrew. This all changed quickly, once her sister asked if she wanted help training. They traveled all the way to Ecruteak city where her sister allowed her access to some of her pokemon. Tragically, during one fateful training session her sister was struck and killed after attempting to prove a point with a wild Miltank she found. After the Miltank killed her sister Terra cowardly fled, to scared to do anything of the sort.

Several months later Terra made it to the Sinnoh region. Her sister's death changed her personality drastically from what she was before. She traveled to various cities in hopes of finding competent water pokemon. While training she found a wild Tentacruel who quickly wrapped her into it's tentacles. The last thing she recalled seeing before losing consciousness was her Sandslash's dark blinking eyes and mouth, opening and closing slowly.

Entry Fee: Terra lost the memory of her sister, which was very near and dear to her. The memory of Terra's sister was the only thing that kept her going when she was alive. Now she lost all morality and ethics. She would choose to sacrifice anyone that would get in her way and would do so at great pleasure.

    Spoiler:

    Name: Kenjiro "Ken" Nara

    Age: 12

    Gender:
    Male

Appearance: (I'll draw a picture soon as well)

Ken's appearance more often than not, makes him mistakable for someone as young as an eight year old. His short, but scrawny build weighs in at about 58pounds or 26kg. Ken's thin arms and legs, make for joints that look ridiculously oversized by comparison. This feeble structure of a skeleton seems hardly suitable as the support for an up and coming teenager's body. Following Ken's bony chest downward, at first glance nothing seems to be where his stomach should, and his khaki pleated slacks never seem to sit right on his hips. Atop his shoulders sit an almost perfectly round head, with doll like features. Large, glassy green eyes reflect his calm and contemplative nature. Ken's dark brown, full yet feathery hair sits every which way he forms it. A simple comb with his scrawny fingers usually suffices when he wakes up in the morning.

As for in legendary form here is a picture: Only imagine him with green eyes, and a skinnier build.

Personality: Ken, to say the least, was a quite boy before he died. He had no problem making friends, socializing, or functioning in the slightest, he just rarely said anything unless prompted. One common misconception with Ken is that he had nothing to think either. That since he didn't break out in song and dance for his peers he wasn't thinking. This is most certainly untrue. In fact, Ken has photographic memory. He sits solemnly staring at the world not because of a lack of conscious, but rather advanced awareness. Everything about Ken's childlike, and insignificant appearance seemed to contradict his actual persona. A passive contemplative attitude, powering his brain to constantly assess and judge his surroundings. Chances are, Kenjiro Nara knows more about you then you know him the second your eyes lock.

History: Ken knew nothing of himself, but so much of the average passerby, and it drove him mad. He did not know his parents, neither did he know of any siblings, he only knew his adopted parents: The Naras. At the age of 6 Ken was driven in a red sedan out, and away from the old worn brick adoption center he called home for so long in Hearthome City. Before that moment, Ken, despite his amazing memory, could not remember anything but that sad little brick building. Life with the Naras was amazing at first. His new proclaimed parents enrolled him in the finest prep school in Hearthome, and of course Ken excelled. But his surrogate parents knew nothing of his observing nature, and only recognized his success. Ken was bombarded with any boy's dreams. His rich new parents bought him game systems, lavish furniture, and did good a job of cooping him up in home all day. Day and night, Ken found himself staring out the window thinking, watching, trying to remember his parents or his origin. Many an hour he spent doing this to no one's knowledge, racking his brain till it hurt. Finally, he had no choice but to find them. One morning Ken stepped out of the shower, got dressed and left on his bike. He didn't know where he was going, nor did he care. He just knew he would find them, he vowed to himself he would when…….. "BAM!" At the age of 12, Kenjiro Nara was hit by a speeding car.

Entry Fee: For taking part in the Reaper's Game, Ken has lost his memory. This is most definitely a significant price paid for Ken, considering his obsession over his memory was the reason he got killed anyway.

White. It's so bright, wh-why can't I see anything? Where am I? Hello? Please, someone, someone tell me where I am! M-mum? Dad? Please, anyone! Someone's here? Y-you! Please, tell me where I am! I need to find, I need to go back, back home. W-why... I can't. Slipping away, n-no, I can't. P-please. Hello? Don't leave me alone

    Help.

    ...

Help? Why, you're doing so fine on your own. Go on, wake up. Go play now, the sun is shining and you've got a great week ahead of you.

    Good luck.

    ~
It's eerie, waking up somewhere, barely having any idea what the hell is going on. That's almost exactly how Renkuu Sitami felt. Except for the fact she could move, she was pain free and her hospital bed had disappeared from underneath her. Instead, it had been replaced with the dirt of Eterna City. Eterna City? How... how did she know? She'd only been here once, maybe twice. And she hadn't even opened her eyes yet.

Renkuu let the light fill her eyes as her eyelids slowly fluttered open. She was eagle-spread across the dirt, grass poking up in some places. Above her was a giant statue, one that Renkuu had remembered from stories back in Jubilife, back in-

What? Jubilife... She was supposed to be in hospital! With terminal cancer! Not alive and well, if well counted to somehow be in Eterna City lying face up. Renkuu sat up and rubbed her eyes, yawning. She had been asleep? Why? She poked around in her mind, trying to remember what happened after that black abyss swallowed her up before. Her mum was there, crying. Dad was there too. And... her, that girl, her friend, Shana. She poked around more, what else was there that she needed to know? Poking, proding, what? What's that? Renkuu opened up a sealed envelope that seemed to have been layed to rest in her head, if that was possible at all. All this information flooded in, as if she'd known about it before hand. Had she?

Find a partner. Defeat the Noise. Finish the mission. Use the pins. You have 7 days. Don't get erased. Oh, and by the way, you're dead.

Those thoughts flooded her mind, along with dictionary definitions for each one. A partner was needed if one wanted to complete the game. Without a partner, the noise would seek you out and erase you. Noise were monsters, Pokémon that took on different forms and attacked you. Missions we- Dead? She was... dead? How could she be, she was defiently alive and kicking.

"What the hell is going on here?!" Renkuu yelled as hard as she could to the heavens. She slumped and leant on the statue. What was she?

  • That day had been like any other - heck, if it didn't, Yukito wouldn't have bothered to leave the house in the first place, despite his parents orders. Kanna had wanted to take a trip into town, and as the unwilling bodyguard-of-sorts of the twelve year old girl, Yukito had no choice but to accompany her. He didn't mind as much as he used to, however. When his parents first started pushing this role on him, since they were too busy to look after their prized business heir themselves, Yukito hated it, since the little girl got all the attention, and now he had to give her his constant attention as well? Over the years - and after multiple punishments for disobedience - the boy had eventually grown accustomed to his role, despite his dislike for his sister. It didn't help that the girl had grown up in a spoiled atmosphere, and had a bratty, know-it-all attitude and a ridiculous obsession with looking good. The girl was only twelve for crying out loud!

"Oi." The boy nodded at his little sister, who seemed to be doting over a shirt in the window of a nearby shop. He was carrying multiple bags, each containing clothing and accessories for the preteen. The only reason Yukito hated that his family was rather wealthy, was because that gave the girl permission to buy whatever she wanted. And, since she was such a small person, ultimately he was the one who ended up carrying everything. "Mom and dad said they wanted us home before it got dark, remember? The sun is setting..."

"Just give me a few more minutes! I want to see if there are any pants in here that would match- Ah, WHAT? They're closed? At this hour?" The small girl huffed, clearly shocked at the fact that a store she wanted to go into could be closed.

Yukito sighed, beginning to walk away. "Of course they are, it's after eight. You know as well as I do that the stores are only late on weekends, and when there's a contest going on at night." This was exactly why he couldn't leave the girl alone. She lacked logic when it came to the real world - the world of commoners and common sense. He was scared to see what would happen if and when she inherited the company of their family. If he left her alone, she would definitely do something stupid.

And thus, the two began to walk back to their large home in Hearthome, the rays from the setting sun casting an orange glow on the streets. On their way back, they needed to pass a construction site that marked the location of where their family's newest store would be going. Even at this hour, workers were working on the roof of the building, Onix' delivering supplies to the roof and even a Magby welding some pipes together with a powerful flame attack. The two siblings didn't even have any idea what was going on as one of the Onix' was suddenly struck with fatigue, and began to fall backwards towards Kanna. It wasn't until the large rock Pokemon was looming over the girl that Yukito noticed, and acted quickly to push her out of the way. Unfortunately, he tripped due to the suddenness of his movement, and the Pokemon landed on top of him, pain and blackness overcoming him almost immediately.

It wasn't until some time later that Yukito began to regain consciousness, but only after his location had been ascertained. Somehow, before even stirring, he recognized the fact that he indeed had been moved to Eterna City somehow to participate in a... game of sorts. He wondered what kind of game as he floated through the dark abyss, but an answer came to his mind the second he became curious. With a partner, which he had to go through the trouble of finding, he'd need to spend a week in this game defeating noise - strangely appearing Pokemon. With his questions fully answered, his vision became flooded with light as he completely regained consciousness.

The first thing Yukito noticed when he woke up was that everything seemed a little bigger than usual. He was laying nose down in the dirt, and the fact that his outfit would probably now be all dirty repulsed him. He quickly got up with much difficulty - as for some reason he felt pretty drained of energy. The game that he had been thrown into still on his mind, he swept a blond lock of hair out of his eyes as he examined the building behind him. The sign on the door read "Rad Rickshaw's Cycle Shop: Get On and Ride!", and he quickly recognized it as the shop in Eterna where he had first gotten his bike, although looking back he should have gotten a cuter one than the black framed item he had gotten back then- wait a second. Blond hair? As far back he could remember, Yukito had always had short, red hair, there was never a need to move it out of his face.

The shock left him a little woozy, and he stumbled back a bit, more locks of blond hair falling over his eyes, forcing him to push them out of the way until his hands - which were notably more petite than they should have been for an 18 year old male - came into contact with the bodies of soft hair overtop his shoulder. In a panic, he pulled on them, and soon regretted it since the hurt, forcing a small, high pitched yelp to part from his lips. He looked down at the hair, and soon realized that it wasn't the only thing that was definitely wrong. His normal attire, a hoodie and pair of jeans, had been replaced by a white dress of all things, fine black lines intersecting across the entire garment. Beyond the dress was a pair of purple stockings that crept up both of his legs, meeting a pair of black heels at his feet.

The clothes were ridiculously small, which didn't make sense! He was a tall guy with a big build! How did these fit him? They were cute clothes, but... he was a guy! Determined to find his answer, he stumbled over to the door to the bike shop, catching his reflection in the mirror. The sheer shock of what he saw caused him to black out again for only a moment, before getting back up to re-examine it. The person in those clothes definitely wasn't him. Well, it was him, but it wasn't! As he stared at his reflection, a girl about his sister's age stared back. She had a small build, with long blond hair and two round eyes that seemed to suffer from heterochromia, as one eye was a magenta-pink will the other was a darker pink. A hat was perched atop her head, featuring the same design as her dress. Shocked, Yukito brought a hand up to his face - the reflection doing the same - and felt soft skin that he hadn't had since being a child himself. "What the heck..." He was startled by his own voice, which was now high and girly. A new name suddenly came to her mind. Yukari was her name, not Yukito. "WHAT THE HECK!?" She screamed at the top of her lungs. On the bright side, at least she wasn't badly dressed.

  • "KATASHI! KATASHI, CAN YOU HEAR ME? KATASHI!"

Mr. Suzuki's words echoed in Katashi's ears, accompanied by his mother's sobs, and many random gasps. His mouth trembled as he tried to reply, but his attempts were futile when not even a whisper came out. He wasn't dead yet, though, as he still clearly had his sense of touch. He could feel that he was in some sort of puddle, but it hadn't rained in Jubilife for days. His eyes opened as much as he possibly could and stared at his motionless hand. It took quite while to realize that water was not red and that he was really drenched in his own blood. It was at this point that the pain started to seep in and course throughout his body. He wanted to cry, scream and thrash about, but his body didn't respond. It was almost as if his consciousness was host to a foreign body. Unfortunately, this also meant that he was unable to close his eyes, and was forced to watch his parent cry their hearts out as the darkness slowly consumed him.

    Am I dead now?

Katashi thought as he floated in an ocean of darkness. He wasn't one to believe in an afterlife, but still found himself wondering if Heaven gave most people a sense of swimming. He twirled and twirled about, but in every direction was just more darkness. Katashi always enjoyed the peace of silence, but this wasn't a regular silence. It was menacing; the type of silence that drove people insane. Within seconds, Katashi found himself whispering to himself, then talking, and finally screaming. A selfishness that he didn't know was dormant inside him suddenly took over. Why did he save his parents? They lived good lives didn't they? He was only fourteen!

Almost instantaneously, a blinding light engulfed Katashi's body and his sense of feeling returned. This time, he could feel his face touching the hot pavement, but to his surprise there was no flash of pain. Was he ali—

Yes, he was. He couldn't tell how he knew, but he just did. And that wasn't it, as a river of boundless information flowed into his head. However, he was only able to pick out bits of it: seven days – return to life – parents' lives on the line – find partner for missions – Pokemon are Noise. It didn't make any sense, but at the same time it did. When did he learn all of this? Why did he know these things? Similar questions floated around his mind, and to his amazement most of them were answered by himself. All while he stayed face down on the pavement of some unknown street.

"Eterna City?" he found himself whispering before even getting and looking around. By now he had grown used to answering his own questions. Although he lived in the nearby Jubilife City, Katashi had only visited Eterna a handful of times. He was standing next to large building surrounded by the biggest trees he had every laid his eyes upon. A large sign next to the double doors read: "Welcome to Eterna Gym!" which probably explained the trees. Anxious to get a clear answer about his predicament, Katashi knocked on the door multiple times, but no one answered.

"Ugh... guess I'm on my own. Nothing new about that," Katashi said with a sigh, before walking off toward the north side of the city.

"Well, did you hear about that new magazine?"

"Ooh, PokéGlam Weekly? I bought it as soon as I saw it!"

    "Me too!"

Renkuu blinked a few times and looked over to her left. Two ladies, probably a little younger than her own mother, walked past the statue Renkuu was leaning on, too busy in their gossip to notice a dazed and confused girl leaning on a sacred monument. Being older people, in their 40s maybe, Renkuu would have predicted them to at least bark at her for touching the stone deity. But, they just passed, as if Renkuu was invisible. Wait, maybe they can tell me where I am, Renkuu thought as they walked down the steps into the city.

"Ex-excuse me!" Renkuu called out to them, walking after them. "Can you please tell me where I am?" The two kept walking, as if they were both deaf or something. Talking about their stupid magazine, as if they couldn't care less of the girl's mental stability.

"Excuse me!" Renkuu said, much louder. She jogged up to them and walked in front of them, waving her hands about. The two still remained oblivious to her. "Tell me where I am, please!"

She stopped and instead of them walking around her, they walked straight through her. Renkuu gasped and stared at them as they walked away, her eyes as wide as they could go. Am I a ghost? Renkuu thought miserably as she fell on her knees. Do I just have to float around like this for the rest of my life?

Her thoughts were interuppted by a low growl. She looked over to see a Houndoom, growling. Growling at her. Pokémon could see her? This was excellent, at least she had someone to talk to.

"You can see me? Please, can you show me to your owner? Maybe we can comm- huh?" The Houndoom continued to growl at her, now taking snaps at the air and walking towards her. Renkuu stepped back a few steps, keeping eye contact with it. Her eyes moved to it's hind legs, they were nothing but lines! Like tatoos. The Houndoom lurched foward, as it started to run after her. Renkuu screamed and ran as fast as she can, turning around a corner at a street. Three Houndour appeared in front of her from behind a building, running after her and snapping at her legs. She turned around to see the Houndoom closing in on her. She'd be a goner in a matter of seconds.

"H-HELP!" Renkuu screamed as loud as she could, but the townspeople didn't even noticed her. Find a partner, you can defeat the noise together! a voice, her own it seemed, popped into her head. A partner? But who, nobody could see her.

"Please, help, somebody! I need a partner!"

  • "Zora, time to wake up, sweetie."

    "M-mom? You're alive!"

"No, Zora, I'm still where I belong."

    "The-then... Where am I?"

    "You'll get another chance, Zora."

"Another...chance? What do you mean by that?"

"Another chance to live. Make me proud, darling."

"What? I'm not dead! That's impossible! Wait, don't go!!! MOM!!!"

Silence. It was awkward enough, but one couldn't expect someone who had spent the last day in a coma to hear many voices while in such a state. Alas, the girl finally opened her eyes. She figured she was still alive, and what she had was just a dream. She was also unaware that she was in a coma, and she was unaware of any feelings she had towards the dream. Just then, she realized she was lying on the ground. It was apparent no one noticed, which Zora saw to be strange. Stupid people, they must not give a damn if somebody is lying on the ground unconscious. Typical Veilstone City residents... She slowly got up on her feet, just to realize she wasn't in Veilstone anymore.

"Eterna...City..." she muttered. Why here? How the hell did I end up here? She scowled, but decided to make the best of it (she was probably carried here by someone, but heavens knows why they brought her here than to any other place). She walked up to someone coldly, but as she reached out to grab them, they walked right through her arm, like she wasn't there. Or maybe they were the ghost. Zora couldn't decide. What the hell's happening to me? she asked herself. It took her a second to realize something was stuffed into her mind. Metaphorically speaking, she "pulled it out", and spoke it aloud.

"Find a partner. Defeat the Noise. Finish the mission. Use the pins. You have 7 days. Don't get erased. Oh, and by the way, you're dead." Zora stopped at the last sentence, and read it over again, to make sure she understood it. She "stuffed the note" in her mind's "pocket" and laughed. It was probably another dream, she assumed. She was gonna wake up anyhow...

    ...

    ...

    ...

Two hours went by. Zora thought she would've woken up by now, but she hadn't. She stood in the middle of a hectic crowd, and kept reassuring herself that this was a dream everytime people walked through her without noticing her prescence. Maybe this isn't a dream... I'm really dead. But now what? "Pulling out" the note again, Zora read it again. "Defeat the Noise"? What the hell is a "Noise"? And why in the world do I have to team up with someone? Not like I'd need them. "Stuffing" the note back into her "pocket" yet again, Zora began walking towards the strange statue that made Eterna famous. That's when the memories started.

The Game Corner. Playing without a care in the world. And then, the money-crazed guy with the Croagunk and Toxicroak. Of course. But do I give a rat's ass about it now? Of course not. I had such a stupid personality back then. I like this one... She was unsure where to go or what to do now, but Zora knew that she was living a nightmare, one she could either escape from, or one that would trap her in hell's pits...

  • "Argh, this. is. just. great!" Yukari complained to her own reflection as she crossed her arms in an annoyed manner. "I died, was teleported to a far away city, and I've been turned into a young girl by whoever created this sick little game! Not to mention, my clothes are absolutely filthy from lying on the ground!" She dusted herself off immediately after this line, doing a number of run-throughs before being as satisfied as she could possibly be. Her hands then flew up to her hair as she evened it out before freezing in place as she suddenly considered what she was doing. This wasn't the way she acted! This was more like the way her little sister - no, she wasn't the older sibling right now - her sister acted, a method of behaviour that she truly detested. Apparently, it wasn't just her body that had been tampered with.

Her eyes jolted to the very corner of her socket as she heard the sound of a bike hitting the ground nearby to the southwest of her location. She had awoken with nobody in her general vicinity, but had someone snuck up on her while she had been distracted with her new identity? It wasn't until whatever was nearby began to growl that the girl turned to face the culprit: a Houndour, or at least that seemed to be the simplest way of looking at it at first. A closer inspection at the "Pokemon", which was closing the gap between itself and the girl, revealed that it's legs were nothing but legs, in a tribal tattoo-like appearance. Panicking, the girl picked up a rock. That thing clearly had ill intentions, and she wasn't going to risk getting hurt, not while she was already dead, at least. "Go away, stupid dog!" She shouted, throwing the stone at the Pokemon, only to have it do absolutely nothing than anger the Houndour, which began to run at her.

Common sense suggested running away, and running is what Yukari did. Not that she could do it very well with small legs, let alone heels! The creature lunged at her, but she managed to duck into an alley at the last possible moment, throwing her pursuer off for but a second as she broke back out into the light of the streets, colliding into a girl who seemed to be calling about a partner. She fell to the ground nearby. "Ouch! Watch where you're going, would you!?" It was then that she noticed more of those Houndours, and even a Houndoom. "I really hate this day..."

    "Please, someone, hel- ow!"

Renkuu fell over onto the cement as someone ran into her, grazing her palms on the rocks. A tiny drop of blood came to the surface. She didn't hurl or close her eyes like some of the people at her school did when they saw the blood tests Renkuu went through when she was in the hospital. Only her and Shana laughed at the blood. Shana. Where was sh-

"Ouch! Watch where you're going, would you!?" Renkuu looked over her shoulder to see a girl, younger than her, with blonde hair, stockings, high heels and a pretty white dress with a matching hat. She had a dirty expression wiped across her face, and Renkuu wasn't sure if it was something to do with the killer Houndooms or something totally unrelated. She hoped very much for the former. The girl muttered something else, but Renkuu was too busy running things over in her head to listen. This girl, she could see her? She could touch her without falling through her? She must be a part of this game!

"You can see me? We have to be partners, form a pact with me!" Renkuu herself had no idea that she knew these things, but didn't care. She knew she needed to have a partner to survive. Some voice in the back of her head was saying something about age and strength but Renkuu ignored it. It was either this girl, or death.

  • Name: Alexander "Alex" Lanners
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male

Appearance: Alex is tall (5'9) and very scrawny, but manages to pass off as just another person in the crowd. He has thin eyebrows, which are naturally angled downwards, giving him the appearance of being constantly depressed. His brown hair is cut short, usually not very neat. His eyes are a deep green, and seem to draw you in. His skin is naturally soft, but appears to be rougher than it actually is.

Coming from Snowpoint City, he has a habit of wearing long clothing, even when he is in warmer climates. His favorite outfit is a plain white turtleneck (if you need to know what a turtleneck is, google it) and blue jeans. He almost always wears a coat whenever he goes outside, no matter the weather. The coat he wears most often is a dark green one with a pink Buneary sewn on the back (It was a joke from his parents, see history). When forced to wear short-sleeve clothing, he prefers to wear a red T-shirt with a pokeball on the front. He will still refuse to wear shorts, preferring to stick to his jeans.

Pachirisu Form Appearance: A regular Pachirisu, not much special about him. He talks in a high, squeaky voice.

Pachirisu Cresselia Form Appearance: It's now my avatar. Sorry for the bad editing, I just did some basic stuff with paint. The yellow thing on his forehead is supposed to be the crescent moon. His ribbon-like things look rigid, but are actually very flexible. This allows him to freely move his head and tail.

Personality: Alex is a quiet person, and doesn't like to stand out. He is called a coward by many, but is actually quite brave when he needs to be. He is quite friendly when you get to know him, but prefers to stay in the corner till then. He loves pokemon, but has a great fear of Pachirisus, as he has had many bad experiences with them.

He is quite gentle, and cares for all living beings. He is modest, and would not describe himself as special. However, many others consider him the same way he considers himself because of his talent for messing things up. Alex takes his time to think about things, and many people think of him as dumb because of it. He is by no means a genius, but he is smart enough to get though school.

Although he is quite nice in general, he can be extremely emotional at times. His schoolmates often taunt him about this, but he really doesn't mind. He just accepts it as part of who he is. He figures that accepting things is just part of life. His parents are both very proud of how he turned out, but wish that he could be a little more daring.

History: Alex grew up in Snowpoint City, living a happy life. His parents were very caring, and went on many trips with him. They thought that it would be good for him to experience the world for himself, instead of just reading about it in school. Alex's personal history starts with his earliest memory at age 3; a Pachirisu shocking him on a trip to Valley Windworks. By the time he returned to Snowpoint City, he was scarred for life.

At age 5, he swore he encountered a pink Buneary. His parents laughed at him (in a good natured way), and then sew a pink Buneary onto his coat. After that, it became tradition to sew a pink Buneary onto every coat he got. He was occasionally scorned for this at school, but he didn't mind very much.

After Alex turned 8, his parents decided that it was time that he watch some real pokemon battles. They went to the Sinnoh pokemon tournament to watch some of the best trainers around battle. Alex was immersed in the fighting, both entranced and scared. Afterward, he asked, "Why do we fight with pokemon?" His parents explained that it was a sport, but he still didn't get why people used pokemon to battle. His parents, exasperated, finally just told him to stop asking, and that the answer would come to him on it's own.

When he was 12, his family took a trip to the Trophy Garden, where he caught an Eevee (his first pokemon). Later that year, it evolved into a Flareon. He decided that he would go on a pokemon journey, but his shyness to other trainers proved so disadvantagous that he gave up. Before he got home, he encountered a wild Pachirisu. They were after the food in his pack, but Alex didn't know that. He ran like the devil was after him, and in Alex's mind, the devil was indeed chasing him. The Pachirisu eventually shocked him with a strong electric charge so he would stop running, and then proceeded to steal all of Alex's food. When Alex woke up, he was in a hospital, in dire condition. He stayed there for 3 years.

When Alex was 17, he decided to take a vacation in Floroma Town. On his way there, he encountered a wild Pachirisu. When Flareon saw how scared his trainer had become of the Pachirisu, he tried to attack it. Alex was ancious to run away, but he didn't want to leave his Flareon there alone. He tried pulling it's ear, and it's natural reaction was to bite him. Alex fell to the ground in pain, but it was late at night and nobody heard his scream. He was found the next morning and brought to a hospital. His parents were alerted, and they came right away. He woke up the day after he was brought in, but was barely concious. The last thing he remembers from living is his parents crying and the sound of the doctors voice saying, "I'm sorry, but he's not going to make it."

Entry Fee: This one is a very tough thing for Alex to do. He turns into his worst nightmare: a Pachirisu. The reason for this payment should be obvious: because of his deep rooted fear of Pachirisus. He retains the ability to speak in the human language, although his voice is now high-pitched. He also gains the habits and abilities of a Pachirisu (gathering nuts, living in trees, etc.).

    Spirit: Cresselia

    Partner Pins:
Snover (the family's pokemon, died 1 year ago)
Flareon (evolution of the first pokemon Alex caught)
Sableye (met in a cave, did not actually catch but made friends with)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since I'm late, I'll just jump right in.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I'm sorry, but he's not going to make it..."

What? What are you talking about? I'm fine! Wait, why are my parents here? Why are they crying? Am I really dying...

Pavement. That was the first thing Alex saw when he opened his eyes. Pavement that seemed to go out far into the distance, never stopping. Or a long way, it seemed. Suddenly, a burst of thoughts shot through his head.

Find a partner. Defeat the Noise. Finish the mission. Use the pins. You have 7 days. Don't get erased. Oh, and by the way, you're dead.

I'm... dead? But how am I here? How am I still alive? Am I alive?

He didn't have much time to ponder that, as a fresh thought came into his head:

    I'm in Eterna City.

As soon as the thought came to his head, he recognized where he was. But it was a bit different. Everything looked sharper, smelled stronger, and sounded more clear then it had the last time he was there. But as he looked around, he realized that everything, including the people, were much bigger. A small child looking to be about the age of 4 looked to be twice his height. Wait a minute... They're not giant, I'm small!!

After coming to that conclusion, he looked around him. As startling as it was to find himself small, for all he knew, this was some strange dream. Even if it was just a dream, it might help to figure out exactly where he was. When he looked behind him, he saw that he was right in front of the pokemon center.

    FOOOOD!!!

The thought shot through his brain. He jumped up onto the wall of the pokemon center and began to climb up, his tail bumping against... wait, his tail? Alex didn't have a tail, as far as he knew. And why was he climbing up the pokemon center, anyways? Oh yeah, he had to store some food for later, even though he wasn't hungry right now. Wait, why would I store the food for later? I'm acting kind of like a pokemon hahaha... ha... ha... ha...

Wait, why am I doing this? I'm not a pokemon! I'm a human!

    Alex turned around, to see a giant- (no, not giant, I'm just small) a Butterfree, only it had strange tattoos instead of wings. "Oh, hello ther-eep!" He squeaked as he heard his voice. It was strange and high-pitched, very different from his regular voice. He didn't have any more time to think about this, as the Butterfree dived at him, obviously trying to kill him. Alex darted away as fast as he could on four legs, (four legs?) but the Butterfree was keeping pace with him. In a final desperate atempt to save himself, he yelled out;

    "HELP MEEEEEE!!!"

It certainly hadn't been very glamorous.

Though he'd never thought about it on any deep level, Kail had always imagined his death would occur in one of two ways. First, he'd guessed he would have gone down in a blaze of glory, saving the world from an evil organization and being remembered throughout history as the world's greatest trainer. The second possibility would have been a peaceful slipping away because of old age while being surrounded by sobbing family and fans. He definantly hadn't imaged his death would be so lack luster...

The adrenaline from a pokemon battle had been pumping thickly through his veins, the exhilaration that only a worth-while match could cause singing in his head. He'd seen the Steelix rear back, watched as slammed it into the ground, and felt as the craggy mountain path below his feet began to shudder. The reality of the situation hadn't hit him as fast as it had hit the other trainer, who had swiftly turned tail and fled from the rumbling scene. Something had held him back. What was it? His pokemon? Why couldn't he remember? The thing that had been so important to save was now a blank space in his memory. Why?

However, he clearly remembered the massive rocks falling down. Kail had slipped, skidded, and rolled over the edge.

Of course, he hadn't been planning on going to the other side any time soon. As his body made its final flip over the cliff he'd used all of his strength to catch himself on the edge. His hands had slipped at first, and a souring panic had hit him hard in the stomach. At the last moment his hands managed to find a grip on the stone and he had been able to catch himself before plummeting to certain death. The situation he had been in wasn't exactly flawless, as he was hanging off the cliff almost completely by his finger tips. The muscles in his arms screamed in protest, a scalding heat racing from his nails to his wrists and to his shoulders that quivered from the weight. 'You can do this. You've been through worse. Just don't look down.' And he hadn't, not necessarily because he hadn't wanted to but because he couldn't. He swung his hips forward and caught a foothold easily enough, which lessened the strain on his fingers. He was losing strength fast though, and soon he'd have no feeling at all in his hands. However, it hadn't mattered, as a rush of stones had slid down over his body and dragged him down with them without even a moment's pause.

His memory faded out there, deaf to the sicking crunching and popping sounds, and to the sounds of a pokemon he couldn't remember....

    ----

Kail woke up in Eterna City, as if the memories of his death had been some sick dream. The boy wasn't certain how he knew the city instantly, having only been in Shinnoh a few months. A feeling of lethargic weight was settled into his bones, making sitting up very uncomfortable. However, his poke tech was beeping in it's high-pitched annoying manner, causing him to stir vaguely to bring the watch to his eyes. Words were on the screen, ones that made little sense.

Find a partner. Finish the mission. Use the pins. You have 7 days. Don't get erased. Oh, and by the way, you're dead.

Kail furrowed his brows, emotions -mainly fear- bubbling hazily in his stomach. What did this mean? The boy was distracted by a scream, one that seemed to be approaching where he lay. He scrambled to his feet, wondering what the crap was going on.

  • Although the idea of an afterlife sounded interesting at first, Katashi quickly grew tired of the situation he was in. Eterna City was as lively as it usually was, but for some reason everyone seemed to go about their business and too zero interest in the wandering boy. In the handful of times Katashi had visited Eterna, some over enthusiastic citizen would have approached him by now, knowing that he was new to the city. Although over the years Katashi had grown used to staying out of the crowd, he never felt so invisible before today. As he tried to focus his mind on more positive things, like figuring a way to get out of this so called "Reaper's Game," he nearly bumped into an elderly couple, but swerved to the side at the last minute.

"Sorry about that!" he called out. Despite common belief, Katashi was very respectable to his elders. It was only those around his age that he talking condescendingly toward. He stood there for a few seconds, expecting a reply (or at least a nod) from the geezers. However, his wait was in vain, as the duo continued there walk as if they didn't even notice the teenager than almost knocked them to the floor.

"They shouldn't let people that are both blind and deaf out on the streets like this," Katashi said under his breath, assuming that was the reason they ignored him. If they had replied, he was prepared to ask them questions about this Reaper's Game and if it was an event that occurred in Eterna every now and then. Now that that plan was out of the window, there was only one option left. Katashi was going to have to approach one of those "lesser beings" and initiate conversation.

Almost as if a God had granted his wished, a girl that seemed to be about his age turned the corner and walked directly toward him. She was exceptionally pretty, but as usual Katashi couldn't care less and simply wondered if this girl had the knowledge to answer his questions. He began to walk toward her, but as he got closer he noticed something extremely odd. She seemed to be staring in his direction, but her eyes were focused on something far behind him, as if he was invisible to her. His suspicions were confirmed when the two nearly rammed into each other, causing Katashi to dodge at the last minute again, but this time his fell onto a trash can and knocked it into a dark alley. As he cursed under his breath and got up, a rustling sound came from the alley. A Raticate crawled out— its fangs already fully extended— but this wasn't just any old Raticate. The end of its body appeared to be an intricate tattoo design that had a rather sinister look to them.

At the same time, multiple screams could be heard from different parts of the city, one of which specifically asking for a partner. It made Katashi happy to know that he wasn't the only one going through this twisted game and that there were people that might be able to answer his questions, but his smile disappeared when the Raticate moved closer with a hungry look in its eye. The voice from before entered his head again, making it apparent that it was because of these "Noise Pokemon" that he needed a partner. Maybe he could run toward that female voice asking for a partner?

"No," Katashi said to himself, reaching for the lid of the trash can that he tipped over. "I don't need no stinkin' partner!" he screamed before tossing the lid as if it were a frisbee. At this close range there was no logical reason as to why he wouldn't get a direct hit, but the Raticate dodged with unprecedented speed and tackled Katashi to the ground. The unusually powerful strike sent the boy soaring in the air, and he landed almost six feet from where he had once been standing. That single blow was enough to change his mind about a partner.

"Someone! Anyone! Partner with me!" he screamed as he scrambled to his feet and ran away, the Raticate in hot pursuit.

  • "HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

Alex had been running for a solid 5 minutes at the same pace, yelling the entire time. The Butterfree was still after him, and he was getting exhausted. The Butterfree lunged at Alex again, but he just barely darted to the side, into an alleyway. He climbed up the side of the building, not even thinking about how he was able to scale it so fast. When he got to the top, he took a short look around him. He could see that there were average passerby, but then there were also more tattooed pokemon. Noise, he thought to himself, realizing that Noise is a term for the tattooed pokemon. Where he got this thought, he didn't know.

As he looked around, he saw some other noise, even though seeing them at this distance was nearly impossible for a human. The first Noise he saw were a bunch of houndoors and houndooms, surrounding a pair of girls in an alley. He saw another Noise chasing after a teenager with dark green hair. As far as Alex could understand, he wasn't alone in this... game.

He had no more time for thought as the Butterfree had finally caught up to him. It prepared for another dive, but this time Alex was ready. Come and get me, He thought. That's it, closer, closer... NOW! Alex jumped onto the Butterfree's back, and held on for dear life. The Butterfree started flailing about, and they started gliding downwards, heading towards a small street. Alex screamed out, "LOOK OUT!" to make sure that he didn't hit anyone, but nobody could hear his voice, partly because he was up so high. He heard some screaming coming from the directions of the people that he saw up on the building, but right now he was focused on...

    SLAM!!!

He rammed right into a young man, making him fall over, and kept on going. The Butterfree skidded to a halt, then flung Alex of it's back. Alex was launched back towards the young man, and landed next to him. "Umm... hi?" Alex said weakly.

(note that Alex landed next to Lucorinth, not Revolución)

  • Man, things sure did get wired fast, thought Zeph. The last thing he could remember was calling the local TV station, and telling them of his plan. Now he was lying down on his back in an ally way in Eterna City. He sat up and noticed a lot of people out in the street. His first reaction was to do something loud to get their attention, but he resisted that terribly powerful urge and spun himself around so he could think. First thing he realized was that he should have been in Kanto in Lavender Town. They were having a huge blizzard, which was rare this time of year. It was almost spring. Then it all started comming back to him. He could remember getting dressed for his big TV debut, then later standing in a very cool pose, then later not being able to move, lossing all feeling in his body, and then finally.....waking up here. As he thought about what that could mean other stuff started coming to him.

Find a partner. Finish the mission. Use the pins. You have 7 days. Don't get erased. Oh, and by the way, you're dead.

"Whoa, whoa. I'm dead? Not possible. How could I die so....quite?" Zeph said to himself. He decided to ask some of those people about this "Reapers Game". As he was walking toward those people he noticed something. He was still wearing his winter clothes. He unzipped his jacket to reveal the plain red shrit underneath. He then pulled off this ski goggles and then ski mask. He saw a reflective little puddle and walked over to it too check on his look. When he got over to it he leapt back in shock. His face was a pale blue color!? Wow! Now their is no way people won't notice me! Zeph though all excited now. He ran out in too the street, threw up his hand, threw back his head and yelled out so everyone could hear,

    "I'M BLUUUUUUUUUUE!!!!!!!!!!"

He stood their for a few seconds in that pose with his eyes close. He couldn't hear any ohhh's or ahhh's. He figured they were all stuned into silence. He stood their for a few more seconds when he realized he couldn't feel the gazes of dozens of people looking at him. He could always feel their eyes on him. When he opened his eyes, he was supprised to see that everyone really weren't looking at him. That kind of angered him.

"Come on people! I know none of you have ever seen a blue guy before," said Zeph. No one even acknowledged him! Now he was getting really angry. He started jumping around in front of people, waving his arms and yelling at them. After a few minutes of jumping and yelling, Zeph slumped against a wall tired. He looked at the people walking infron of him, he just got more mad. Now he was ready to punch someone. Infact, that's what he got up to do. He saw a big guy in a suit, and smiled an evil smile.

"Hey big guy! How would you like to get your suit all muddy," he said. He pulled his arm back as far as he could, and let go his strongest punch he could. He fell to the ground and slamed his nose real hard on the ground. At first he thought the guy had dodged really fast, but then realized that the guy didn't move out of the way. Zeph fell through the guy. Fear immediately engulfed Zeph. He got up and started running. Through people. About twenty feet away Zeph fell to the ground, crying. Then he remembered those weird word he remembered earlier. Find a partner? Zeph thought. "Does that mean their are people that can see me!?" Zeph was scared and his voice was all shaky and high piched. Zeph got up on wobbly knees and walked off to find a partner. Little did he know was that even the people that could see him would have trouble really seeing him.

Kail rose onto the tip of his toes, the front of his shoes digging into the ground. Even with the extra inch of height gained, the boy couldn't see anything from the direction of the screams. From the pitch and high tone, the people in distress were rather obviously female. Though generally lazy, Kail had always made a personal point to help out those in trouble before. However, the circumstances were different now. After all, he was dead.

    Dead. Dead. Dead.

The word rang in his head, repeating over and over, yet not quit hitting home. He couldn't be dead... He just couldn't! It was impossible, it had happened too suddenly! He was only a teenager for goodness sake! The suffocating weight of the boulders, the fluttering of fear in his stomach as he fell, everything... It must have been a dream! Yeah, that was it! Kail laughed nervously to himself, a strangled sound that sounded nothing like him.

He glanced at the buildings around him, brows furrowed in confusion mingled with fear. Eterna City. It wasn't really a question of where he was, it was simply a question of why he was there. Even so, he shouldn't be as sure as he was. After all, his home was way back in the Kanto region. He'd only been traveling around Shinnoh for a few months, after spending six years plundering all his home continent had to offer. In fact, the only memories that he had of the town were vague recollections of the gym and the battle that had happened inside.

The battle... Why couldn't he remember who he fought with or who he celebrated the win with?

Kail took a couple hesitant steps towards the screams, trying to momentarily bury his thoughts. Before he had the chance to break into a run, however, he was slammed into from behind. "Gah!" He spat out, falling down and landing in a sort of push-up position. As swiftly as his befuddled brain could manage, the boy scrambled back to his feet. He was up just in time to see the small Pachirisu land next to him. Glancing at the butterfree, he felt a stab of fear. Noise. The pokemon were noise. Though Kail didn't quite know what noise was, his body reacted on instinct to the threatening feeling. He drew back his foot, preparing to kick the small pokemon that had landed next to him with all the strength he could muster.

That's when he heard it talk. With an abrupt and awkward motion, the boy feel backwards to prevent the kick from actually going through. "Err, hi?" He asked, more than said.

It must be a sick dream.
