    Alrighty, so here's the new discussion/application thread for Torzach. I thought I'd do a new one just so we can have a fresh start. I'm sure you all know what the focus of the conversation will be here, but in case you don't, its going to be Sprites, Story ideas, and whatever else needs talking about ;) Everyone's welcome to post what they want, but try and post about the current topic, whatever that may be. Try and think about whether it needs posting here or on the Torzach thread, as I don't want that to die ;) Oh, and in case you don't already know, Torzach is a hack of Pokemon Fire Red

    Team Name and purpose of the thread

    So, I'm trying to stick with the rules and regulations of the discussion section, so I believe this is the part where I stick in the team name? Its Team Torzach, for those who don't know ^^

    Ok, we also accept job applications here, just so you know, all Beta Testing positions are full, so if you ask, you will be ignored, unless you have some incredibly amazing skill to contribute apart from Beta Testing. We are currently in need of Mappers, but not very many, a few Scripters wouldn't go amiss, and we really need spriters. Good spriters, mind you. We have a very high standard for our sprites, so they need to be top notch. Proof of work is required for all positions. If you want to apply, do it in this order, just to keep things nice and orderly for everyone ^^

    So, our current team consists of these wonderful people:
    MegaMaccer - Project Leader, Mapper, Concept Artist, Story Guy, Spriter, Talent Scout, ;)
    Westrmistr - Spriter and part time Mapper
    Amtrax - Mapper
    Wingzro17 - Idea's Guy, Scripter, Mapper, Sprite Inserter
    Vannah - Spriter of tiles and Torzachians
    Surf - Scripting and Sprite inserting when I need him ^^
    Goodies - Sprite inserting and Scipting
    Colcolstyles - Scripting
    Atlus - Mapping
    x_richard_tdh - Stat and moveset guy
    I seem to have forgotten who my beta testers are... I'm sure they haven't though ;) Just let me know who you are guys and I'll stick your names up here ASAP. If I've forgotten anyone, don't hesitate to tell me. I've probably just forgotten your username is all :D

    End credits

    I just though I'd let everyone know that this thread will get an extreme makeover pretty soon, as soon as Vannah wakes up and gets some headers done ;) It'll look as nice as the Torzach thread by the time we're done with it. For now, you'll just have to wait for some sprites to look at ^^

    XD Nice to see you've gotten this thread up. Hum.... I'll get some headers done starting next Tuesday when finals are over, probably. With a new, fresh, look, too. ;)
     
    Okay yeah, I can't insert many sprites at the moment. I am sort of tied up with getting the beta 1 release of Shian ready. And at the moment, I am inserting some Fakémon and Platinum sprites. So please, bare with me.

    A tileset. I'll make a grass piece to fit in with both parts of the set... I just need to figure out which color is the best... (if any) C & C? 2nd tileset thing I've made, but I dunno.. xD
     
    i like the first tile set the best ..and the tan one (2nd one) looks pretty good too

    I like the first and last ones. Not only do they remind me of home, but the blue tint is pretty original as far as Pokemon goes... with the exception to water :P
     
    Lyzo and I were discussing it. We decided the blue tint was a bit odd. ^_^; It's since changed~

    All you guys have to do is pick which color you prefer. ;)
    Of course, if people still like the old one, I can always make a grass set for that as well. o-o

    I like both of them. It depends on where you're going to use them. The bottom one could be used in a city with rock/gravel roads. The first one could be used on routes, or towns with dirt roads. They both are good.

    Believe me when I say spend a month in Lexington, Kentucky and it won't appear odd to you. Especially at sunset.
    Fortuitously, the second of these latest two still has some blue.
    I agree with West entirely in that you can't make a decision unless you know what it is being used for. It's your classic case of apples and oranges.
     
    Maybe it's just me, but I kinda like the 3rd tileset better.
    I like the contrasting colors.
     
    so are you guys doing 250 new sprites?? if so how many legendarys are there going to be? and if im not stepping over the line may i ask when you think that there is going to be a beta release
     
    We don't know exactly yet. You asked about a beta before, and I'm giving you the same answer. It depends. o_O
     
    are the startes going to have 2 different move types like most of the past games?
     
    Yes, after evolutions, they get 2 types.
    I think there will actually be like 300+ fakemon (I believe it was said previously).
    They have enough for a sequel as well, I think.
    I think that the alpha will be only released to beta testers actually, but I'm not sure.

    Posts like this should be put in the Pokemon Torzach thread in the progressing hacks section. This thread is for the discussion of the current topic, which will usually be sprites or tiles. Please post this in the Torzach thread for an answer, I really don't want that thread to die ^^

    The Alpha will be released to everyone, but the Beta Testers will check for bugs first. Again, please post things not related to the sprites or current topic in the Torzach main thread.

    Oops sorry Mac, I thought this was for like all new discussion, sorry.

    EDIT: Bullseye, I think what Mac means is like, if we have questions about the hack (direct questions) then we post in the main thread.
    If we want to discuss/critique/etc. about sprites or off of the main topic stuff then post here.
    Example: if you want to ask a question about Torzach such as Fakemon or Maps then post in the main thread.

    if you want to talk about the Fakemon and Maps/Tiles such as critiquing or discussing a certain Sprite or Tile, then post here.
