what is an iv battle on here

An IV battle is where you battle other people over the Nintendo Wi-Fi in order to find out the IV's of newly hatched Pokémon. You should look *image removed* if you don't know what IVs are. Either way unless you're really dedicated to having the best possible team and are willing to put in heaps of time then it doesn't really apply to you, so I wouldn't worry about it unless you're into competitive battling.
