Ok, there was another C-Gear thread but it got locked because it didn't really hold a topic. So I made this one in hopes to get one on-topic. So, What do we know about the C-gear? It appears to be something that lets you automatically connect to other players' games. Here's what Serebii.net says:

    Pass By Mode:
While it's on the lookout, if you come near any other person who is playing the game with their C Gear on, you will automatically connect to them and get details on them. You'll get their trainer details on the screen and can also see in realtime how they are doing in battle. For example, if their Pokémon has low Hit Points, it will inform you of it.

    Global Link:
Within the C Gear, you also have the ability of syncing your game up to the Global Link. This feature will allow you to select a Pokémon to send to the Global Link and will allow you to receive Pokémon as well.

It seems that it just shows you stats of your nearby pals. But do you think it lets you do more? Like chat? Or even games? (Possibly related to the High Link?) I think the infrared trading rumored a while ago takes place through this. And it also seems to be the way you connect to the global link. So what do you think about it, and what do you know about it/hope it does?

    C Gear

Each entry in the series also has its handy little adventuring gadget. Apparently tired of attaching "Poké" to the front of words, this time around you'll be armed with the "C Gear." The C Gear can make phone calls and display a map, as you might expect, but also can use something called "Deru Power" to give you temporary bonuses in battle, such as increased experience point gain. These bonuses can be collected and traded with your friends.

Raising your ball-bound partners also just became much easier thanks to infinite-use TMs. No longer will you need to hoard Earthquakes or worry about wasting another Giga Drain, because you're now free to experiment without fear of repercussions. -- UGO

So I was surfing Google news for the newest update for the most anticipated game and I stumbled on this find. I thought it was quite intresting and I thought I'd share it.

I'm a bit confused about the Deru Power feature. I still do not understand how thats going to work. It's nice to know that TMS are now infinite and phone calling makes a return.

...the other thread had no posts, but merging anyways!

I don't really like phone calls especially in HG/SS. Hopefully in B/W, there won't be as many pointless phone calls because they can get really annoying.

The new Pokegear looks so sleek. This generation is literally going to take evrything we know about pokemon, and scrap it. This pokegear is like the Pokenav meets the Poketch, then that combonation meets the future.

Hmm, I wonder if it'll have apps like the poketch? It is on the bottom screen too... but I sorta doubt it. Maybe just the simple ones like clock and map.
Maybe they will also have calendar too...
It will have the roaming amp though as there are a roaming trio in Isshu :)

As long as it brings back the clock app I, oh so, loved from the poketch I'll be just fine with it.

The C-gear sounds indeed pretty interesting.
