The Pokecommunity's Art Gallery Rules! by Anastasia.R

    [alink id=rules] Rules[/alink id] | [alink id=right]Post the right stuff![/alink id] | [alink id=post]How to Post here![/alink id] |[alink id=resource]Art Resource & Tutorials[/alink id]
    Hello!
Welcome to PC's Art Gallery! You might be a new member or not, but I hope you enjoy your time here either way. =] There are, however rules for posting here. Every section does! So,lets check them out so that you can see what to post and what NOT to post. Don't worry, it's to respect other artists and members here, and yourself! You'll find these rules quite helpful for posting artwork here. =] Let's begin, shall we?

    [a id]rules[/a id]The Rules

Don't be an Art Thief! - Totally against the rules, and you will be punished immediately if you are proven guilty for stealing someone's work. So, don't post artwork that is not yours. (You will be given four permanent red infraction points if you are caught stealing someone's work!)

Art Bumping- So, 'art bumping' is posting in a thread you made, with an update. You ARE able to bump your thread, but it must be YOU thread, AND YOU POSTING THE UPDATE. If someone else posts in your thread and breaks The 30-day rule, then it will be locked.

Do not create contests or projects ... - You need permission from an Art Gallery mod, Super mod, or higher staff members. And we have a contest section.

Don't create shops here - You can make a gallery and what not, but we're not having shops. Just ask members to PM you if they have requests for a drawing.

Keep your thread and art rated G to PG 13- Alright, so, do not post rude comments, use banned words (swears), or inappropriate artwork/comemnts, ect. PC is for everyone, but we need to keep our art, comments and threads rated so kids can see it.

Don't post discussions and requests! - We have two threads for that which are: Official Request Thread and the Art Discussion Thread.

Don't post galleries with only 1 or 2 drawings - Post 1 to 3 drawings in the Drawing Display Thread

All PC rules apply - Check out the updated PC rules here!

    [a id]right[/a id]Post the right stuff!

    What belongs here and stuff:
    • Drawings
    • Digital painting/drawings
    • Cosplay costumes
    • Arts and Crafts
    • Paintings
    • Animations
    Basically, lots of visual art.
Stuff we don't want to see here, or it belongs somewhere else:

[a id]post[/a id] How to post here!

You might notice, some post do get deleted. Why? You might have said something so nice to the artist about their work, but was it spam?

    Comments to avoid saying
    "Wow, that's epic! :)"
"The Pikachu drawing is so awesome!"
It's nice to receive comments like those, but it's spam-ish. You need more thought to posting comments and crits here.
    Posts we like to see
"Wow, the coloring is great in the Pikachu picture. The texture of the fur looks very realistic, as well"
"It's a cute picture, but the Pikachu's feet are too big. Might I suggest (blah blah blah, suggestions, crits, compliments)"
The difference between these comments with the spam-ish comments, is that, the person put more thought in their comment. Even one of them is a crit, which is great to get, since it helps you improve and learn from mistakes.

PC's Art Gallery Resources & Tutorials!

Hey, everybody, and welcome to another PC project! This project is to update our Art Gallery rules with useful tutorials and resources that every artist should check out! Some older links didn't work, and there wasn't that much to look at. Plus, we only have two member made tutorials in that thread.

Let's change things up a bit!
Now, we need to go over rules, guys and gals.

    Rules

    • Follow the PC rules
    • Don't spam, flame, ect.
    • This not a showcase of artwork, so, be aware of that.
    • Don't post more than two or three tutorials covering the same subject. So, be on the look out.
    • You can post other websites that provide many tutorials, just don't post every single one (if there's more than 4 tutorials)
    • Keep the resources and tutorials rated so that EVERYONE can read it and follow it.
    • Read the tutorial over to make sure it makes sense
    • You can post video recordings, but make sure everyone will understand it (goes for tutorials)
    • Do not request here or request for tutorials
    • The tutorials, and resources do NOT HAVE TO BE POKEMON RELATED.
    • Have fun and be creative!

    How to contribute!
