Name: (Trainer) Kylar Hamilton

Age: 17

Personality:

Kylar is a man of passion and vigor. The things he cares about, he cares about deeply and holds a vested interest in. However, contrary to what many would believe when looking at him, his interests do not lie in sports, fighting, or military work, but instead academia. He is a man of exceedingly bookish tastes, and is not in the least ashamed to express his joy and adulation for the great authors that act as friends, carpeting his shelf space with their prose.

Despite his literary fervor, he is not an introvert in the slightest. Rather, Kylar is a man who enjoys professing his opinions on current events and various theories of the contemporaneous authors of the moment. His vocal nature extends beyond literature and essays into the realm of politics, where he is truly at home. Nowhere is Kylar more at home than in the socialist musings of Leon Trotsky, or the nation-saving philosophies of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (unless they don't exist in your RP in which case, he likes Pokemon Creators X and Y xP). In fact, his political passions have landed him in hot water in the past, as he often does not know when to shut up and carry on preaching more than the Pope himself.

Whenever his nose is extricated from a biography or essay however, Kylar does enjoy to attend parties. He's hardly a juvenile delinquent, but he doesn't mind screwing around with his friends on Saturday night and drinking a cold one, or two, or ten. It is at these times when he is the most relaxed in front of people, boisterous and quick with a laugh, but slow to judge. Unfortunately, when he is removed from these situations of comfort or stuck at home without his friends, Kylar can begin to brood and become a bitter, angry person. He has a poor relationship with his single father, and it has in some ways turned him away from comfortable social interaction at home. His house is a toxic environment to Kylar and one he cannot wait to leave, whether it be for a journey or just an escape.

Appearance:

Standing at 6'2" and weighing in at 215 lbs., Kylar can tend to stand out in a crowd. His light-brown hair, shaped by the same barber his entire life, clings tight to his head once the clippers do their work. The young man's face tends to hold the same modesty in appearance, looking nothing more than plain, at least in Kylar's opinion. Thick, but well-maintained, eyebrows arch over his relatively large eyes. These eyes sparkle a deep green color, the same emerald shade of his father's eyes. A robust, yet appropriately proportioned nose adorns Kylar's face, set over full lips and a strong jawline. These facial features can sometimes be the only parts indicative of Kylar's emotion, whether it be a jaw jutting out in anger or eyes drooping in despair, his face can be read like a book. A book that those close to him read often and easily.

Wide shoulders and a broad chest define Kylar's frame, giving him the athlete's body that he wants no part in. Yet, much to the teenager's chagrin, his father's incessant demands of exercise and fitness have led him to possess a muscular frame. His muscles are well-defined, yet they do not burst out of his clothes like those of people more passionate about their body image. Kylar looks more the part of a soccer player or swimmer, lean muscle and a slim waist, than a body builder strapped with bulging biceps.

Kylar's wardrobe is a simple one, consisting of t-shirts and jeans in the colder months and jeans and cargo shorts in the warmer periods of the year. The only thing that interrupts this cycle is exercise, (which has simply become force of habit at this point) when he dons a tank top and basketball shorts or If the weather is extreme, when he'll throw on a hoodie or coat. In classes, Kylar will wear a pair of simple, rectangular glasses, but when out with friends or at a party, he'll shed the spectacles for contacts.

Starter Pokémon: Male Growlithe

History:

Born in Opelucid City of Unova, the final stop for powerful trainers before Victory Road, Kylar has grown up witnessing countless powerful Pokemon trainers, both home-grown Dragon-type masters and aspiring league champions, finish their quest for badges. Kylar's father, Michael, used to be one of these high-flying trainers, burning the ground with intensity as he strove for his final badge. However, Michael seemed to hit a wall in Opelucid Gym; he could never vanquish Drayden, his final opponent before challenging the true greats. Years passed, and still nothing Michael did allowed him to succeed. As this shame festered and grew, Kylar's father sought ways of escape. At first, he turned to love, marrying a pretty young coordinator named Shannon who caught his eye. But when she died and left him with only Kylar, Michael became much bitterer and hit the bottle hard, while his son was raised by grandparents. Finally, he turned to the military, hoping to either wash away his sorrow and pain, or gain absolution through fire. 5 years of military service left him a changed man; his wound still festered within, but on the outside, he was competent, organized, and commanding. Kylar was soon returned to the custody of his father.

As the years went by, Michael stayed bitter, pushing Kylar to succeed where he couldn't. He tried to make him stronger, forcing exercise every morning and evening; he tried to make him smarter, forcing literature down his throat on uninteresting mathematics and science; and he tried to make him a more competent battler, throwing Kylar onto the field to learn or lose. And losing was not an option. Kylar grew to hate his father, resenting everything he represented. The hard, bitter man pushed his last legacy on Earth, his son, away from him.

Kylar has since decided to become a trainer even better than his father, and conquer the new Nilivon region to spite his father, achieving what he never could. Kylar has had some minor experience working with his father's Pokemon and training with other adults around the town.

Name: (Pokemon Trainer) Russell Francis

Age: 15

Personality : In one word rebellious. Russell always lived his life breaking the rules but despite being called a badboy or a rebel one would have to commend him on his never say die attitude. Russell tries his best to make the best out of each situation. He's one of those people who never back down if you told him he couldn't do it he would try and try until he succeeded. To tell the truth Russell just wants to life his live without fear and thats what he tries. Ever since his father died Russell hasn't been able to cope with it proper as he's too "macho" to let out his real feelings. Russell lives by a never say die attitude and is probably one of the most disobedient persons you would ever meet. If you tell him to eat that cookie he wouldn't but tell him don't wash those plates he would do it in a heartbeat. Sometimes that behavior get him into trouble but to Russell trouble is a way of life.

Russell only really loves his mother since she's the only person who doesn't judge him as she knows why he behaves the way he does. Despite his behavior Russell is still the man of the house and does anything to get money when his mother is in need of the funds. Friend wise he doesn't have many and the ones he does have aren't considered as good company. Since he's a boy obviously he has had crushes but since he never had a father to teach him about "the bird and the bees" he is sometimes awkward around them. Also he is a person who thinks highly of his looks.

Normally if unprovoked Russell is pretty calm and sensible but this changes quickly most of the time. When he first heard of team paradox he joked about joining them to cause trouble but deep inside he was disgusted by them and what they stand for.

Appearance :Russell has dirty blond hair with sky blue eye color. His hair is fashioned in a fauxhawk style.Since he is so high on personal care he usually spends much of his time shaping his hair until its perfect. He also has a bit of facial hair a little mustache that he's proud of and that he combs in secret. His eyes are very enticing and dreamy by people of both genders and sometimes his eyes show a very intense side of him. Russell has a very light brown skin color and a scar on his elbow from one of his past schemes. Aside from that he does have smooth skin surprisingly.

He stands at 5'7 and 145 pounds. Russell is very muscular but not buff and has very defined features such as a six pack and what people called a very chiseled body. Like any normal teenager he has a few bumps and pimples but not huge that stand out or are very noticeable. Despite being muscular Russell isn't very athletic as he never did any sports growing up but his muscles are only due to the fact that he worked hard all his life doing odd jobs. Girls do admire him for his body and Russell often sees them staring at him from a distance.

Russells dresses very simple. He usually wears a plain white t-shirt with no design of any sort on it covered by a blue sleeveless hoodie which he rarely puts over his head. He wears neatly fitted black skinny jeans and a simple black and white low tops with blue laces. In warmer temperature Russell would remove his hoodie and just wear the white shirt only or to keep that from getting dirty a blue t-shirt. In colder temperature he wears a stylish snow jacket. No one has ever saw Russell without his necklace with a blue topaz pendant given to him by his father. He also has a blue topaz earing in his left ear and a blue g-shock watch matching his hoodie.

History : Born and raised in Grandnal City. Russell lost his father at the age of 10 and was raised by his mother and the streets. Growing up his father always talked to him about pokemon and showed him how to handle and care for pokemon so when he died it was hard for Russell to to deal with it since his father died trying to stop a rampaging Rhydon. After this Russell had a hatred in his heart for pokemon but as he grew up he realized that not all pokemon are like that and changed his outlook of them.

At age 13 Russell had to start working hard to keep his mother and himself afloat as his mother struggled to find work after the trauma of losing her husband. Russell had to work in ranches and on farms to earn cash by shoveling you know what and cleaning the pokemon etc. At that time he started to learn more about pokemon and pokemon care from that all the little jobs that Russell took up had to deal with pokemon so that besides from getting money he would know more about those pokemon.

At age 14 his mother got a steady job and was over the death of Russells father so she encouraged Russell to start his own pokemon journey just like his father did around this age. Russell decided to stay just in case but after realizing that she was ok and that the affairs of the house were well taken care of. Russell had no one to talk to one the matter since he was despised by most of the adults in the town because of his behavior and other pokemon trainers in the town didn't trust him.

So finally at age 15 Russell decided to go on his journey looking forward to this journey since he did always want to go on a journey after being told all those stories about being a trainer. Russell set off looking to both start a great life for himself but to change peoples though of him.

Name: (Pokémon Trainer) Arthur "Ace" Rourke
Age: 15

Personality : Arthur Rourke goes by Ace because he does little more than play cards. He doesn't like to over exert himself but he rides to and fro Kenrith City everyday for his job unloading the trucks at the pokémart. He doesn't like to do much, he just hangs out with his friends, plays cards and relaxes. He is open minded and respects, but not necessarily agrees with other peoples views. He is always relaxed, and happy even in the most formal situations. The only times when he isn't like that is when he or his friends and family are in danger. He dislikes very little but one of the things he strongly dislikes is being told what to do. He doesn't express or show his discontent when this happens he just doesn't do the task. He also dislikes rudeness. He is generally very polite, but when he is confronting someone who has been rude to him or to someone innocent, he retaliates by getting in their face and listing the thousands of other things they could've done. He is always content except for when his longing to train a Pokémon creeps into his mind.

Yes, he goes preferably by Ace or Arthur but he could also go with Art, Arty or anything else that isn't ridiculous. He is generally treated kindly because he usually doesn't confront people so there is often a mutual respect between him and another. He sometimes fights with his older brother though. His brother is seventeen and his complete opposite, that's probably why they fight. He views life as something that should be lived to make yourself and others happy. His major downfall is that he always tries to be the hero. That, and he can be too selfless. He would give his life to save another's anyday.

If Arthur were asked, "So what do you think about Team Paradox?" He would say something along the lines of, "Who?". But, If he knew who they were he would be immensely unsettled by what they do. In his eyes, life should never be taken no matter what the circumstances.

Appearance : Arthur is tall and muscular but not ripped he just has a muscular build from unloading boxes all day. He wears a plain white T- Shirt under a short sleeved, black, cargo jacket. He wears regular blue jeans, usually naturally faded from use and wear. He has skateboarding shoes with worn soles and he has red laces that cover the black tongue of the shoe.
His messy, but otherwise straight, black hair reaches down to just below his ear in the back. He grows out his bangs so that they reach his eyebrows in the front. His hair goes slightly over his ears. His face is defined and handsome. He has a straight nose and hazel eyes that have a calming effect when met. His jaw is wide and appears to be clenched. He is taller than average but only slightly.

History: Arthur has led an easy life. He goes in and out of Kenrith every day for his job but not once has he heard of team twilight. You'd think that after years of being right by the Pokémon Ranger HQ all day he would have at least heard of them. He likes to take it easy and he's had it that way.

He personally hasn't had any experience handling Pokémon. He does however; enjoy watching the league fights on television all the time. For as long as he's known about them. He only feels sad when he notices that he probably wasn't meant to lead an exciting life, his parents don't want him to be a Pokémon trainer. They want him to live a desk life, as a respected business man. He feels that this sort of life would be like living in a monotonous circle with the only end being getting old and retiring. He wants to see the world and go on an adventure. He plans on running away as soon as he gets a Pokémon.
