    Rules

    • Registration begins now and will close on the 15th of July at 8am GMT (3 hours after the GT8 officially begins). At this time, the pairings for round one will be posted. To register, respond to this thread and give details of your time zone as well as your Dueling Network username.

    • This tournament will be held under the offiicial March 2011 TCG Format.

    • Duels will be carried out over Dueling Network. All you need to do is register and you will have access to a full database of cards to construct a deck with. Rounds will consist of a full match (best of three duels). Side decked cards can only be used after game one (so for games two and three).

    • ? rounds of Swiss that will cut to a Top ? playoff. This is determined by the number of people who join. Most likely, the turn out will be between 4 to 8 participants, which means 3 rounds of swiss, cutting to a top 2 to determine the overall winner. For those who do not know, in the aforementioned case, everyone will play the three rounds of swiss regardless of torunament record, but at the end of those three rounds, only the top two in the swiss will qualify for the finals.

    • Each round will last approximately 24 hours if there are 4-8 participants. If the turn out should be unexpectedly larger, the duration for each round will have to be shortened accordingly. The quicker everyone finishes their duels and reports the result to the host, the sooner the next round can start, so do try to get your matches done as soon as possible.

    • You cannot make any changes to your deck for the duration of the tournament.

    • Immediately contact your opponent for the Round via PM, VM, or the Pokecommunity Chat to set up a time to play - bearing in mind the potential differences in time zones.

    • Unreported tables after Round closure will be decided by activity.
o If both parties at a table are inactive and do not report prior to round ending - a double match loss will be issued.
o If both parties at a table are active and do not report prior to round ending - a dice roll or coin flip will determine the winner.
o If your opponent does not attempt to contact you, forward the PM you sent them to the organizer as proof of activeness and attempt of contact.

I don't mind having additional prize support added in. The main thing I need to do is sort out which program to do the dueling over. I'll probably make a topic in the Yugioh section asking what people will prefer.

If I were you, I'd change the CSS from whatever width you used to 100%, so it doesn't stretch the page for those people with smaller monitors, such as myself. Also you might want to put your picture in a spoiler, or make it smaller.

Regarding the rules, you should change the ban list rule to "this event will be following so-and-so's ban list" and you should really explain how a Swiss tournament works, because not everyone's going to be able to understand how it works.

I've taken your suggestions into consideration. I changed the width to 100% but then it stretched my 17 inch laptop screen so that's a no go. I'd rather have you suffer than me.

Question: how are you going to run the event before the Get-Together starts? I'll have to make quite some exceptions to allow it since people are typically coming in on the 15th.

I have revised the times. 8am GMT is when the tournament will begin now.

So once this topic has the green tick, I can make this event open for registeration right?
