    Totally awesome idea imo. I don't know whether the username area can be altered or if it's default that cannot be changed, but since the "fill in a Pokemon" area isn't set by vB, then it seems pretty likely. It might not completely reduce the problem, but surprisingly some do actually read information there, so it could be useful.

    Definitely a good idea, maybe a way to ensure more people notice it, is to have like a blunt statement saying "note, the username you select cannot be selected, are you sure you are happy with this choice?" Something like that, maybe even if a confirm button could be added so they read this before every single person makes an account.

    But yeah, handy stuff!

    That's a good idea. I don't know how to really do a pop-up (nor do I want to, tbh) but I added bolded text right above the username field which I suppose is a start.
