Sans not only because that battle was just SO HARD but even if you did manage to beat him you'd have to be a hardened sociopath to actually go through with that final attack

I'm kinda torn - when I first started piecing together Sans' story and having encountered him in Genocide, I just thought he was the coolest character in the game, and definitely one of my favorites. But on subsequent playthroughs and from watching other people play, I've come to appreciate Papyrus a lot more too - he just brings so much life and laughs to Undertale.

Although Sans is designed to be the more complex character with more layers and depth, I'm actually gonna vote for Papyrus this time around even though in the past I've said I like Sans more. I feel like Sans' character has a limit because once you've experienced and discovered all the secrets he's hiding, the impact kind of wears off in subsequent runs, but for me, even having played multiple times and watched others play, Papyrus still constantly surprises me with more dialogue and more reactions and more of him that I haven't seen before, which I think is cool.

Spoiler: one of the neutral endings
I was also blown away by his neutral ending - brought a level of depth to his character that I didn't expect and it hit me way harder than it should have, haha.

He's so precious. But overall they're just so cute together - the way Sans cares for and loves his brother is adorable, I love them both.

The question is, why would they fight seriously? Sans would never hurt his brother.

Sans. Sans is just so powerful, and he actually dodges attacks, it's incredible. 5 hours. 5 hours and 6 cheated in bags on instant noodles, and I still couldn't beat him. I got close, so close, but he always got the best of me.
