    "The origin of the universe. Still, a great, unsolved mystery. How was it created? Who created it? And why? This is one of the few points where science and religions... still meet."

    The events of Pokémon Uprising unfold thirteen years after the events of Pokémon Platinum. Although you and your cousin are both fourteen years old, neither of you is a trainer yet, which is unusual in a region like Sinnoh. To become a trainer, this year, you two go to the annual trainer festival in Amberia City, a city near your home town. During the festival you will be able to obtain your first Pokémon! As you will see yourself, there are new cities and towns, routes, and even a different path around the island. A new, young professor —that you might know very well— will be the one that gives you the starters. But while you are having fun at the festival, a strange, huge and terrible phenomenon is currently happening in the region of Alola, an unprecedented scaled event that will eventually affect all other regions in the world. Adding to this dystopian atmosphere, the old criminal organisation known as Team Galactic has reassembled. Grunts with new outfits and hairstyles, and mainly new executives and commanders will reassemble this organisation with one goal: Bringing back their former boss: Cyrus.​​

    ABOUT:​

    Pokémon Uprising is a fangame project (using Pokémon Essentials BW as the basis) that has been born from the huge desire of having DPPT remakes (or rather having the opportunity to revisit Sinnoh 15 years after we first met Lucas and Dawn). This time, instead of releasing a demo until the fully gameplay is available, this fangame will be yearly released by chapters, so that with each release the available playable content so far is complete. This will also allow our team to keep releasing content throughout the year, in the format of events, side quests, Mystery Gifts, etc. With any further ado, let's dive into it (for more information visit our website, from which you will eventually be able to download the game, as well as our Instagram and Twitter accounts).​

    I've been trying to avoid demos, and incomplete versions, but a chapter by chapter release would be neat!

    Hi! Yes, exactly! You can already download and play the first chapter from the fangame's website (link in the main post).
    We don't provide a demo but full chapters (so far just the first one), so that the playable content within each update is complete! ^^,

    Okay, thanks! Now I just have to wonder, is the installer the only file between all three of those rar files?
    Either that, or I no longer know how to extract multiple archives simultaneously.

    Yeah ^^,' For the moment we have to deal with a three-parted rar since Github allow a max of 99mb per file. Having said that, for installing it, you have to download all the three rar files in the same folder of your PC. Then select them all, right click and then "extract here". The game installer should then appear. ^^,

    Hi, mate! If you mean for the starter selection event, we've set the ratio to 1/100 for each of them. That means that you can actually find more than one shiny starter during the same reset.

    If you mean the regular encounter ratio, I can't remember on top of my head. But I can check it out later and tell you. Cheers!
     
    IMPORTANT:
    A major update is coming relatively soon. Please follow carefully the instructions once it is out in order not to break your current game.​

    The update will bring the following features:
    • 1. It will implement a Sinnoh Signpost system for hints, locations, buildings and routes signposts.
    • 2. It will modify the maps to fit them all in 32x32 multiples.
    • 3. It will implement a better version of the underground, in which only 6 tiles are minable, and these tiles can be seen in the minimap (another update will be needed for the "radar" function in order to spot the exact location of these tiles in an easier way).
    • 4. It will solve several bugs that taked place in Amberia city (Amberia town from now on btw), like for example if you entered one of the northern houses just after the festival concluded, the player could already visit the lab, which wasn't supposed to.
    • 5. It will implement a shiny hunting method for the starters at the festival: you will be able to see whether the starters are shiny directly in the overworld without needing to choose them.
    • 6. Just in case. Chapter 2 will NOT come within this update.

    Hey so I'm playing the game and it's great so far, but when the video cutscenes happen (or what I'm assuming would be the video cutscenes), the screen cuts to black and doesn't show me anything until it's over!

    Edit: Just finished chapter one, and this game is really cute so far, I can't wait to see the next chapter~!

    Hi, mate! The game should play the video cutscenes correctly, so I'm afraid it might be because your pc might not have the corresponding drivers to play avi videos ^^', . Try playing any of the videos manually (they are located at "./movies/") to check that you can actually play avi videos on your pc.

    The Hisui region Pokemon should be added in the next year update as Legends will have been released.

    Great idea! We'll see whether and how to implement them, because we don't want to simply add them in and that's it, but in case of doing so, creating some cool and justified mechanic for them, but we've taked note and will take the idea into consideration!!!     Fantina should have a Hisuian Zoroark has her ace instead of Mismagius to make things harder since unless you have a Dark type, you're doomed. Lucian should also have Wyrdeer and Basculegion for Wake. Aaron could have Kleavor instad of Drapion.
