Pokemon Vinewhip Green - Bringing Gen 1 into Gen 3

Hey guys! I'm new to this place and I made this account specifically to get some Gen 3 hacking tools and since I'm on here I might as well show you guys what I've done to the poor Pokemon Leaf Green rom that I experimented with.

I call this rom hack, Pokemon Vinewhip Green. Sorry I don't have a flashy image to show but I'm pretty new to this rom hacking business.


No abilities, no gender and every Pokemon has the same base Special Attack and Defense. However natures, IVs and EVs still exist


Some items are found in their original spots. No berry tiles exist so no Berry pouch.


Gen 1 tms are back in the game so enjoy some TM08 body slam to your hearts content.


My meddling with Gen 3 tools and advanced map has caused some weird graphical effects.


Bite has changed back into a normal type move. This will be the same for moves like gust and karate chop.



Version exclusive pokemon like Sandshrew and Ekans are both in the game so not everything is like Gen 1.


Moves like dig have been reverted back to their original power and accuracy.


Unfortunately another glitch because I gave TM24 back to Lt. Surge and edited the text to reflect gen 1.


No more second floor so no more trading.


Don't go to the third floor of Celadon city. It will freeze your game or sometimes even glitch out. I checked advanced map and the map is gone. Probably because I removed the multiplayer rooms.



Another change of dialogue. This time from the little girl who used to give you Tm27 return now gives you TM39 Swift, just like in Gen 1.






And finally and most importantly, taking the elevator straight to 5f will reintroduce you to this lovely young girl who will give you two of the best tms in the game!

hi. it's been a month now.

recently, I did get a chance to try out your game and I'm wondering if you will be able to fix that freeze/hang problem on the 3rd floor of the celadon dept store in a future version. I usually take the stairs and visit every single floor in that store and I seldom use the elevator there

You should fix those bugs. Its very annoying release a hack with some crítical bugs. Make backup versions and tests, try to avoid bugs.

How much of this hack is done exactly?
