Mmmmm. Lugia ex, tasty.
Lugia ex looks like an incredibly beefed up version of its Neo Genesis predecessor, however its energy requirement is slightly tricky to pay off. But it did become the important 'L' in the all famous LBS worlds/nats/champs etc winning decks.
HP: Now that Desert Ruins is out of the picture, the more Hp for an ex, the better. 100 HP is quite high, but only average for an ex. Eitherway, it should keep lugia ex alive for a decent amount of time.
Stats: Colourless type isnt the most useful type in the format currently, but this doesnt matter, especially since its attack will OHKO anything anyway.
Weakness to P, can be a problem especially with the increasing play of Bannette ex, Gardevoir d, Metagross DX and almost any other P type can easily smite it, but if your opponnet isnt playing one, you're fine. The Resistance is quite decent and an good retreat for such a heavy basic.
PokeBody: No matter what, EVERYONE who plays against this card, forgets about the pokebody and how annoying it can be. On a sucessful coin flip (for you) you can return an energy card from the defending to your opponents hand.
Since your opponent can (usually) only play one energy per turn, this can be a major set back and slow down, requiring them to play the energy back to there active (so wasting their energy attachment) and not allowing them to charge their bench and increases the number of cards in their hand. This can be just as more insulting if the opponent also discards energy OR plays Holons Electrode, Magneton or Castform.
This is the best stalling method Lugia ex has after KOing one Pokemon with an elemental blast.
Elemental Blast: This is where split decisions and opinions always arise. Not only does this do a massive amount of damage which will almost definately KO your opponent, it requires only 3 energy to do so. What hinders this, is in true lugia fashion is to have 3 different energy types AND discard them all again after. Hmm how to solve this? simple with these cards:

Given that 2 energies are attached preferably one of them being R/W/L, then the holons guys will pay for the rest of it. This awesome combo was the main reason why Lugia ex could obliterate anything when combod also with Blastoise ex in a LBS deck.
Unfortunately if these cards weren't around, then Lugia ex wouldn't be so great, making it a bit of tricky card to play with. If it is done well, however this can be quite a monster.
