    [PokeCommunity.com] 10/30 - COTD - Meganium (EX: Dragon Frontiers)

    Rate & Review.

Thanks to Water Pokemon Master from www.pokebeach.com for the scan.

I would only use it for the power... pity Devolution Spray isnt around anymore...

The first attack is good for tanking, but the second doesnt 1hko stage1's so its pretty much useless. 70 would be much better.

Overall a great card. It's poke-power allows both evolution and basic pokemon to be summoned from your deck to your hand. Delta reduction is nice vs. water pokemon since it reduces damage by 60 next turn (-30 resistance and -30 from the attack effect). Mega impact is also the nice 60 attack with +10 above avarage. It's HP is also good, however the downside is that fire pokemon might cause trouble.

Overall a very useful card, my rating is 8/10

Well, considering it isn't limited to searching out non-EXs and its Delta Reduction works BEFORE Weakness comes into play, it's pretty good fo a stage 2.

    8.5/10

Delta Reduction is a nice attack, comboed with some healing thing Meganium could last quite a while, Mega Impact on the other hand, isn't as Mega as it sounds for a Stage 2 and is very disapointing. (just realised Mega(nium) pun.. :p)

Evo call is a very situational power, remember it only works when Meganium COMES INTO PLAY and very often there will be times when deck thinning isnt such a good idea or a Pokemon is not necessary/ a good idea to play. However it can take Holons Pokemon, which can quickly pay of its Energy requirements if comboed with the UF version. Why not try a Cessation Crystal or Energy Root to really tick your opponent off when this card is out?

On the upside, it has pretty good stats!

Eitherway I find the UF version (bouncy move) is a much better candidate or better still, its ex version. However this card should still be considered for a Meg deck for the added type advantage.

    6.5/10

I'm beginning to realize that all the newer cards have more lower costs and are more powerful than the older cards, so I'll be less critical from now on.

Anyway, I like both of the attacks, and the Pokemon Power is great for evolution based-decks. I give this card an 8/10

When I saw this I was like "whoa". FIghting type is good because of all the fighting weakness flying around, 110hp isn't bad at all. However, its attacks aren't that great and fire weakness is a huge problem. 2 retreat gets annoying too.

    7.5/10
