4th Gen Mystery Gift

Ok before the mods tell me (if they tell me) I already looked in the FAQ for this. Either I missed it or it's not there. Also yes I am a noob for asking this but no need to remind me of it.

How does mystery gift work? Where do I get it? Can I use it with Wifi?

Mystery Gift is like going to an event, but over WiFi. I use it every event just incase. Sadly, i've never got a thing.

Go to Jubelife TV center, and talk to people. One might ask for an interview. Tell him:

EVERYONE HAPPY
WIFI CONNECTION

When you re-load, it should appear in the main menu.

I'm not exactly sure but I've heard it works like this.
Nintendo releases an event.
Mystery Gift is activated for those who can't go to the event.
If someone in your Pal Pad has gone to the event, Wi-Fi Mystery Gift wil write the record of the event into your game allowing you to get the exact Pokemon given.
You may pick the Pokemon up from the Pokemart event guy in the green suit.

Or atleast that's what I'm told.

Go to the menu screen, click 'Mystery Gift' and then choose via ______.

WiFi is kinda obvious
DS-DS Is from a friend who went to an event, or an event distributer.
Not sure about the other; Can't remember.

EmpoleMew is right. You can mix records with someone that has the event and you'll get the same event.

That isn't always true. Mixing records with someone who has the TRU Manaphy event will not get you Manaphy. Unless I did something wrong, it won't even transfer the wondercard.
