Ah, Base Set cards. Reminds me of when I collected the cards as a kid.

Jesus, I sucked at the game.

Item Finder: Considering all of the broken trainers in the early Base Set, Item Finder can be exceptionally useful to get just the one you need and turn a game around. Great when you need an extra Gust of Wind or Computer Search (although getting a CS may defeat its purpose somewhat...) 4/5

Pokemon Breeder: Base Set's Rare Candy, pretty much. Why did they bother making Rare Candy in the first place, anyway?

Either way, it's still extremely important if you're playing any Stage 2's, and can really speed up a deck. 4.5/5

<3 overpowered base cards..

Item FInder:
This card is great, admittedly I never run more than 2 in a deck because I always deck to fast, am tight for space as it is (and discarding 2 doesn't help) or run 4x a trainer I need. Eitherway this is a useful little bit of a paper, able to snag back a game changing card. 4/5

Pokemon Breeder
Interesting job :D - before RC came out this card was the play. Unfortunately RC is now better (allowing you to skip 1st turn rules), so this won't be seen in unlimited much. If you don't have any RC, Breeder will still make an excellent alternative for speeding up a deck. 4/5

Item Finder
Item Finder is a must have in a deck of old cards. At first I thought the card too expensive (you have to discard 2 cards), but now I play with 4 of them in my deck. It's good since I have almost 40 Trainer cards (including the energy removals and The Rocket's Trap, I had 3 traps and played them like 5! :) ). 5/5

Pokemon Breeder
RC is better than Breeder, since you can evolve at once, but few people trade their RC. 4/5
