History
Five years ago today at the Indigo League tournament in the Kanto region two trainers changed the course of Kanto, and the rest of the world. There names were Beo and Zypher, and they were two of the three trainers that Oak had given starter pokemon to that year. The two at one point were best friends until this day they became complete opposites, Beo was full of darkness and hatred for the world. While Zypher on the other hand was a kind loving kid who would do anything for others. The two became rivals and it was only fitting that they would both make it to the finals to square off.

As the match began Beo started changing, there was something inside of him, something evil. The more competitive he got the bigger the darkness grew around him until ultimately the old Beo was gone consumed by the darkness. What happened next set in motion todays events. Zypher's Raichu took down Beo's gengar and with that Beo snapped, he was engulfed in shadows. Before vanishing he laughed hysterically saying "And so the game begins".

A year later men in dark robes would begin appearing around Kanto They called themselves The Dark Brotherhood. Darkness started shrouding the enter region. These men began taking control of cities and gyms ultimately destroying them. The old region of Kanto is gone, there is never light anymore only darkness. Its a region of dead plant life, mostly only dark and posion type pokemon remain as the rest have fled for other areas. Finally after much anticipation Zypher began creating a group to stop "The Dark Brotherhood" called the Clan of Hope.

Thats where you come in.

Plot:
After five years Clan Hope has finally begun to counterstrike the Dark Bortherhood who has become very strong. Zypher has contacted Professor Oak on this day, and tells him what is needed to be done.

It is now considered war, and with war comes different sides. Choices need to be made, and they may not always be the right one. As new trainers are sent out into the world to try and make it a better place, temptation and sin lie in wait, just waiting for the moment to come out and poison the minds of the young trainers.

This is where you come in you are a new trainer hoping to help in the Kanto's cause, you have been sent by Zypher to Oak's lab to chose your first pokemon. You are hoping to make a better life for yourself where you don't always have to worry about the constant battle between Zypher and Beo. With a new pokemon, you start off in the hopes of fighting battle's, gym leaders and, of course, capturing pokemon.

However, as it is a war, actions from others will get in your way of what is supposed to be the best journey of your life. With choices to be made, will you ignore the call of war and darkness, the call of hope and light, or the call of just being a normal trainer who simply wishes to beat the Pokemon League?

The decision will rest on your shoulders.

Beo ​

Five years ago Beo received his first pokemon from Prof Oak. As it would come to be known from that day on he was never the same. He started to train in darkness, becoming corrupt and power hungry. His mental state was badly destroyed, and as he went around collecting gym badges, he did countless acts of evil that know one could pin on him. Beo thought of Zypher as a rival, but as one that was to weak, and held back by the constraints of Justice, and light. Beo hated the light, and wished the world could be covered in darkness. Then the Indigo League Tournament arrived, and Beo quickly destroyed all of his competition making it to the finals. As everyone knows he would battle Zypher, but Beo did not worry, he knew he would be facing Zypher from the begining and now was his chance to destroy him. But something happened in that match, as the whole through it was an intense matchup, and Beo was enjoying it, he hadn't faced real competition till this day. But the more intense and closer the match got, the more power hungry Beo became, until the final blow... His gengar was defeated by Zyphers Raichu and he lost. Something in Beo's head told him that now was his chance to reveal the darkness, and so Beo let out a laugh and was drowned in a vortex of shadows, the crowd looked on and was in shock at what just happened.​

While Beo was gone for those five years, he went in search of the final piece that would make him become the strongest person alive.. and that was true darkness. Throughout his journey he started creating Bases around the world, for his new group known as the Dark Brotherhood. Finally one day five years later, he returned having found that true darkness and Kanto became a shadow of it's former self, still to this day.

Zypher
​

The leader of Clan hope, and the only person to ever beat Beo. Zypher always trained his pokemon with kindness and heart, fighting for justice. He also viewed Beo as a rival, but he knew something was wrong with his friend, but could never figure it out till today. Beo blames himself for what happened to Kanto and that is why he set up the Clan of Hope. When the darkness came to kanto Beo sought after Zypher, wanting a rematch, but Zypher knew at this point if he lost then thered be no one to save Kanto, so he went into hiding under the viridian gym where he started forming the clan of hope. But today Zypher is just a shell of his former self, no more does he have the same energetic personality as he did, but instead he is worn down by the stress of the darkness, and the contest hiding. He wants so bad to finish off Beo but in his current state he does not believe he can do it. He tries to hide the fact that his body is weakining by encouraging the troops. But that is why he has gotten you as new members, to maybe take over for him. His pokemon are the same that he has always had, since the pokemon league finals, as they are egar for the rematch also. Something unknown to everyone else though, is that he is currently suffering from an illness, that does not leave him with much time.

"SLY"
​

Not much is exactly known about the whereabouts of the third trainer, in fact Oak is not even sure of her name. She went under a false allias when she got her first pokemon she called her self sly. What is known is that her starter pokemon was Squirtle, and that she did collect all the Kanto badges, but she withdrew from the indigo league tournement, and know one has seen her since... What happened to her?

Tai Fayling

Tai Fayling was once a normal trainer, unfortunatly as fate would have it things changed one fateful day. When Tai was thirteen years old he had finally recieved every single Indigo Leauge gym badges, and with the Indigo League tournament only two weeks away he was resting up and training at his home in Fuschia City. He was training on the shoreline when a young boy in cloak washed up on shore, unconsious. Of course Tai took him quickly to the pokemon center, he had a stab wound very deep into his stomach which would have killed a normal person. But this boy wasn't a normal person he was none other then Beo. Thats the day Tai's life changed he saw the darkness in Beo, and when Beo gained consicousness he asked Tai if he could have his last three badges, in return he promised him power. Tai then agreed and the rest is history.

Although it's not really known what his intentions are, we just have one question what is Tai Fayling really up to?

Giovanni

Once the former mastermind leader behind team rocket, and the force behind the final and toughest gym Viridian Cities Gym. Unfortunately for Giovanni he had the pleasure of meeting Beo after his loss to Zypher. It was a year after that and Giovanni had been getting ready to bring Team Rocket to take over Kanto when the cloaked boy appeared in his gym. Beo argued that Giovanni and team rocket were old and out of date, and that his new group would take over Kanto after he was gone.

Needless to say they had an intense battle unfortunately Beo had his trump card, and that was the darkness. He snuck up behind Giovanni and plunged his dagger deep into the middle of his back, Giovanni fell to the ground lifeless or so Beo thought. He licked the blood from the dagger and left, as Giovanni started breathing once again and pressing a button on the cuff of his wrist sending a signal to his men to come get him, he was in serious trouble. Since that day no one has heard from the man, and most people associate the down fall of Kanto with the disappearance and fall of the Viridian Gym.

When will Giovanni make his return? And what will his goals be this time around?

Name: Gil Tess (Dark Brotherhood)

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Gil is of 5ft 6in height, just barely over the height of girls. However this doesn't bother him since he know that he has plenty of time to grow. Sixteen is such a young age, after all. Gil has messy black hair that can never seem to be straightened, often getting him into trouble at school for have a 'messy attire'. The clothing Gil wears is usually the same everyday. He wears blue jeans whose color has faded away from years of misuse, with the occasional rip or hole in them. Gil also wears a black shirt. It is plain with no symbol, words or anything. He doesn't see the point in wearing in exaggerated clothing with pcitures that just pop out at you.

Gil is a insonmaniac and has very noticable dark circles under his eyes that it looks like makeup. Getting barely three hours of sleep has made Gil paranoid and uncaring of most unimportant things, such as his appearence. Hence why he has such messy hair, though his parents did tell him his brother had the same hair and stature, but his brother disappeared a year ago, and even before then, Gil live with his father while his brother lived with their mother.

Personality: As said, because of Gil's insomnia, he became paranoid and a bit skittish, as well as controlling of what he believe's to be his. Because of the darkness spreading, paranoia grew into a bit more, but Gil himself may not even be aware of it, but if others meet him, they can just sense something is wrong with him. Gil is just one of those people that give off bad vibes.

When Gil is startled, he'll get into a type of crouching position, almost as if he were a startled animal trying to take things in at a different perspective. When attacked when in that crouching position, he'll even scuttle back on all fours, but again because of the darkness and dangers, being a little animalistic isn't so hard to believe.

Background: Because Gil was separated from his brother and mother, he only grew up with an uncaring father. With war and darkness all around, the only thing Gil's father cared about was survival, but that was steadily dealt into Gil's personality. To the point of beast brutality, Gil will do anything. He's never killed, but he's seen his father killed plenty of crazy wild pokemon and even a few thieves.

Exactly one week ago, Gil's father died. He had no bond or feelings towards the man, other than he felt he was a bit of a protector, but since he has no one, he's taking this chance to get a pokemon and escape his hell of a home. He has no interest in the war even though he know's he has to 'sign up with the good guys', Gil will do what he can to escape everything, but because Gil's mind is very adaptive, even he doesn't know what might happen to him if forced into a new or different situation.

Additional Information: Exactly one year ago, Gil recieved a call from his mother that his brother had run away, whom was exactly how old Gil is now. Gil never cared, after all, all he knew was that his brother's name was Shaun Tess...

Name: Grecko Rage (Dark Brotherhood)

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Grecko is short for his age standing at only 5' 5, but he is in very good shape. Wears a black tee shirt and old blue jeans. Always wears an old green jacket that used to belong to his father before his disapearance. His hair is spikey with a golden tip in the front.


Personality: Grecko is a good hearted person who tries to do the best he can all the time. He will never pass up an opportunity to help someone, although sometimes he just gets in the way. Even though he his good hearted, Grecko will do anything to get what he wants. He has a strong will and can not be easily dismayed. However, if anything reminds him of his father he will lose concentration.


Background: When Grecko was born his family moved from the Hoenn region to the Johto region. At the age of five, his father had gained enough recognition as a trainer, and so he opened up his own training gym for trainers to stop by and get some extra training. The family never lived in the dark Kanto Region but they new all to well what could happen. So when Grecko turned seven his father began to train him in his gym so that he could protect himself someday.
At the age of nine his mother passed away and caused Grecko to shut his father and everyone else that he knew out. This was until his father brought him a pokemon to call his own. The pokemon was known as a Charmander, and it helped to tear down the wall around his heart that the death of his mother had built. The two became great friends and Grecko's father once again began to train his son.
When he was fifteen Grecko and his father went on an training hike but somethings never work out the way you want them to. Somewhere near the pokemon league in Johto, Grecko and his father were jumped by a bunch of people in white robes. Grecko's father asked him for his Charmander and than told him to run and never look back.
Grecko ran for a few miles until finaly collapsing from freight and exhaustion. After resting up he walked back but his father was nowhere in sight...he has not seen him since.
This is the reason Grecko is going to Kanto. He believes that his father may be somewhere in Kanto, and also feels he can be of some help.

Name: Kabir Bihar (CLAN OF HOPE)
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Appearance:
Heritage has done some kind things to this teenager. He stands at a moderately tall height of 6'4", and is rather proud of that fact. The only thing that might be a small problem is his size. He doesn't look beefy or scary or anything, so that results in him not looking very intimidating. Kabir is a rather lean person, but because of his personality he keeps himself fit and therefore has a nice bit of muscle on his frame. It still doesn't help a lot though. Along with his basic body structure, Kabir inherited medium tan skin from his parents as well. He has a light bit of a goatee, but it isn't really anything big or anything. As for his hair, Kabir has black hair that he keeps a few inches below his ears. He often keeps it nicely combed and groomed, just because he likes a clean appearance.

Seeing as he grew up in a fairly nice background, Kabir tends to wear nicer clothes. It goes with his clean-cut appearance, in all truth. Generally he wears dark colors such as blacks or navy blues, but sometimes a white or gray colored shirt will be thrown in the mix. Often he wears a hooded sweatshirt that is black, and the hood is a deep red. The shirt underneath ranges from the aforementioned colors. For his pants, Kabir sticks with a pair of generally dark blue jeans or faded dark grey ones. They often end up dragging on the ground, thus resulting in tears and holes in the bottoms of them. The shoes on his feet are a pair of old black Converse high tops that he's had for a few months now, thus resulting in a few holes in the canvas. The only accessory he dons is a gold necklace with the Hindi symbol of कर्म, or karma on it. His brother has an identical one, though Kabir's unsure if he wears it.

Personality:
Kabir has a very lonely personality, and therefore doesn't get close to people in many cases. He is close to his siblings, but other than that Kabir stays out of being friends with anyone. Why? He feels that people, no matter who they are, will end up hurting you. They could be your best friend, your family, or your friends. They will all end up hurting you, and Kabir's philosophy is that if he limits the people in his life, he limits the pain. This is his logic, and Kabir is the type of person to always trust in his logic. It may be flawed, but he is stubborn enough to where he refuses to believe what other people say.

Despite how it may come across, Kabir is not the type of person to shove ideas down anyone's throat or judge quickly. He has a very open mind, and as long as you respect him he will respect you. As far as his temperament goes, Kabir is generally very calm and hardly gets mad at anything. Few people have ever seen him mad, and that includes the people in his family. Kabir is also the type of person who is more for peace and talking things out, but he does have his little problems. He hates his adopted brother, Sabir, with a passion. He feels that Sabir took his family away from him and made him completely isolated, and for that Kabir could never forgive him.

Background:
Kabir was raised by both his parents in a small ranch in Kanto. He grew up with two brothers and two sisters. One of his brothers was adopted into the family, but that wasn't quite what bugged Kabir. What bugged him was that his name was so close to his. The boy's name was Sabir, and he was also approximately the same age as Kabir. Now, while Kabir didn't mind taking on the brotherly role and taking care of his siblings, he pretty much detested this brother. They didn't get along, and their personalities clashed multiple times. This was probably because they were so alike, but they refused to admit it. Most of the time they also were thought of as very similiar, thus resulting in their parents buying them the same type of clothes and identical things. The necklace was one such example. Kabir got the karma one, and his brother got one for प्यार, or love.

Finally the bad blood spilled over, and Kabir began to feel exiled from his own family. He was thrust into a world of bitterness and loneliness, and pretends that he doesn't mind. He made himself stronger by pursuing more of an athletic persona than he used to be, and busied himself with continuing on his strength. He also played online chess games frequently, making sure his mind stayed sharp as well as his body. He found out about the brewing war, and sort of grew excited. A part of him knew that was sick, but he couldn't help it. Kabir saw this as an opening to leave the resentment he felt growing for his family and his brother, and build something of a new life. Sadly for him, Kabir has a bad feeling that the buildings of his new life won't result in a lot of good.

Additional Information: Kabir hates his brother, simple as that. The loneliness he feels Kabir blames Sabir partly for, thus resulting in the resentment and hate growing stronger than ever. If posed the question then, yes, Kabir would kill his "brother".

Name: Cain Lukens

Age: 18

Gender: Femme

Appearance: Cain is fairly tall, standing at about 1.79m, and she's fairly skinny as well. She has very curl, straw-blonde hair that comes to about her chin with no bangs. Her skin is pale with a lot of freckles on her face and shoulders and she has almost steel gray eyes on a face with a small nose and thin mouth. No one would call her exceptionally pretty, she's rather plain and rarely lights her face up with a smile.

clothing-wise Cain's a big fan of more neutral and natural colours. She often simply wears light blue jeans with minor wear and maybe a small hole or two. Underneath that she would wear bale Nike sneakers that are very comfortable and simply efficient for a journey's sake. On top she likes to wear a teal tee that goes off her shoulders with faded golden decorations and over that she'd wear a warm brown shorter trench-coat with long puffy sleeves.

To carry her things in Cain owns a grey triangle-like duffel bag that she often just slings casually over her shoulder. It carries a spare change of clothes and the essentials for a beginning trainer.

Personality: Cain is a very determined young woman that is to say the least. She's stubborn and if she's put her mind to something then good luck getting her away from that goal again. She's far from naïve, even a little bitter. She has a tendency to look negative at things and isn't afraid to voice those opinions. She tends to sulk a lot and doesn't like preppy people.


Cain tends to build up emotions and build a wall around herself. She doesn't like letting people in for it makes her feel vulnerable therefore she shuts people out completely. But like a bucket, sometimes one little drop makes everything overflow, and you have a volcano in your hands. Even though she bottles things up, she's also known to explode a little every now and then. She definitely has a temper to be reckoned with and doesn't like to be messed around with. She has a mouth a little too big and sometimes ends up saying wrong things at the wrong time.


She's easily manipulated however. As long as you refrain from sparking that stubbornness in her then you could fool her into doing anything. All you need is the right incentive and the right poking of her own doubts and you have her right where you want her to be. Beware of when the curtain comes up however, for she will not be very happy to find out.


Background: Cain never really cooperated well with people. When she was little she was an overly shy creature and never really dared to talk to anyone. Her parents tried to help her but Cain usually just hid behind her parents, she still had that habit when she grew up. Most of Cain's childhood she got bullied for not talking to people and being so anti-social. It went on for a long time until a boy came up for her and told the bullies to leave her alone.


It all calmed down after that. There were still some mean remarks here and there but the worst of it stopped. The boy, Jordi, would often sit with her at lunch and try to talk to her, though she still didn't say very much. She slowly opened up to him and they became friends.


Tragedy struck as Jordi's parents decided to move away from the decaying Kanto to hide in Hoenn instead. Cain was left all alone. For a year Cain wouldn't really talk to anyone anymore. The more social skills she had learned from Jordi departed with him as well. But after that painful year she got better again and started talking to people. She slowly got to resent everything about Kanto that made her friend go away. Now, 3 years later, Jordi is mostly forgotten, but the bitterness was not.

Additional Information: Cain is mortally afraid of the dark, she's been that way since early childhood.

Name:
Jacob Sam Webb (Dark Brotherhood)

Age:
17

Gender:
Male

Appearance:
Standing at 5' 11" with tanned skin and weighing about 167 pounds, Jacob seems to be a normal teenager by looks. His hair is dark brown, almost appearing black, and angled layered to the right side of his face, just barely covering his amber eyes, and cut right below his ears. Some strands of his hair are spiked up, much to his displeasure, but even gel can't keep them down. His face is cleanly shaved as he doesn't like having facial hair. There is a sort of shadow cast over his eyes, making them appear darker than they really are and producing a sort of intimidating look, one that can potentially frighten those who try to make direct eye contact. He keeps himself in shape, sporting quite the athletic build.

The adventurous one, Jacob usually wears clothes that are actually good for traveling long distances and climbing. He usually wears slightly baggy jeans coupled with a short sleeve shirt. He always seen with his hooded jacket that has fur-like material on the inside and usually kept unzipped. A dark brown belt adorns his waist with a buckle that resembles a diamond with the letter K engraved into it. Color wise, Jacobs tends to wear darker colors such as navy blue, blood red, or black shirts with blue jeans.

Personality:
Before the events that happened 6 years ago, Jacob Webb, preferred to be called Jake instead of Jacob, was a very happy and caring boy. He was a good kid and very tolerant of anyone and the things they did. He believed in all the good things in life and had a very positive outlook. To him, everything had a solution and he was determined to figure it out. In fact, he was seen as the one who resolved disputes between his brothers. Because he was so trusting of others, he was easy to manipulate in some cases.

Now-a-days, Jake is a more closed-in guy and not as trusting of others as he used to be, but he is still friendly. He's quite jumpy and doesn't take a prank or being scared very well. He remains open to new ideas and is willing to try new things, but with much more caution than he used to. He personality, however, seems to be growing darker and darker every day. His outlook on life isn't what it once was and he's starting to show sinister qualities, causing his friends to worry about him.

Background:
Jake grew up in a normal neighborhood near Viridian before the events that took place 6 years ago. He was just your average happy-go-lucky kid with a very positive outlook on life. At school he was quite popular because of his friendly attitude and, for the most par t, was loved by everyone. At home things were just as good, only adding in the disarray of living with an older and younger brother who could never see eye to eye and two loving parents who just happened to be obsessed in researching pokemon.

However, 6 years ago everything changed. With the uprising of the Dark Brotherhood, darkness began to descend upon Kanto. For the first year, nothing seemed to change much. The place that Jacob called home was still home and while they heard news of attacks happening at this town or that, they never experienced it. With his happy attitude, Jacob was actually convinced that nothing would happen to them, but he ended up being dead wrong.

When the Dark Brotherhood finally made its attack on Viridian and the neighborhoods around it, it consumed the town into despair. Jake was stunned and it took a while for his mind to register that they were in danger. In his moments of shock he was approached by a cloak trainer who was ready to kill him, and having no skill in a pokemon battle Jake was sure to lose, but his mother intervened. Still in shock, he watched feebly as his mother battle against the cloaked trainer and watched as she was mercilessly defeated. As the cloak trainer prepared to kill his mother, something snapped inside him and in a burst of rage he charged at the man, knocking him back. However, he had reacted a bit too late and his mother was already gravely wounded.

After the attack, Jake was left traumatized for months and somehow, through his attack on the cloaked trainer, he had become connected to the darkness that was spreading over Kanto. After a year of therapy, the doctors explained to his parents that he had reached the peak of his recovery. However, the Jake that was once known to them was slowly fading away, never to return.
Jake's encounter with the Dark Brotherhood left him with a hallucination mental disorder in which the doctors claimed that he would never get over.

Since his encounter, Jake started to see shadows moving throughout the world and hearing whispers of things that aren't there. In particular he's seen a cloaked figure running away from him and yet at the same time, beckoning him to follow. His disorder has caused him to lose sight of himself and he's starting to change….

•Name: Josh Gold Sugimori
•Age: 17
•Gender: Male♂

•Appearance: Josh has well pampered, brown hair atop his head that falls down just past his eyebrows as his bangs sweep off to the right, the bangs to the left side of his forehead fall down in a couple strands where as his bangs to the right are all together. It falls down to just past his ears which are still slightly visible and tends to flare out at the back just abit, some even say he has slight highlights in there. His eyes are bright, a solemn band of mysterious silver hazel encircle each pupil. His peachy skin and features give off the picture of health, standing at 6"1' and weighing in at 150 lbs. Tai has a well-established body, from his broad shoulders to his well-built lower body. He is someone who does a lot of weight lifting, and sports, because of this he has a well-conditioned and well-toned body. His appearance is normal for a well-conditioned 17 year old, muscles slightly on the larger side are obvious but not completely bulging out at this point.

Clothes-wise, Tai opts for a trendy style. He wears his signature thin, black leather jacket that he leaves unzipped over a plain white-tee with the sleeves ending mid-bicep. He wears a pair of black skinny jeans held up by a grey belt, though the belt is not visible most of the times due to his shirt falling over it. To finish off his outfit he wears a pair of grey Vans shoes with white bottoms and white shoelaces. He also wears his signature pair of aviator sunglasses, the rims a light gold.

•Personality: The demeanor of this boy, as with each and every being claiming themselves as intricate, is complex in its multi-layered stratum, each individual trait contradictory of the next, such as Josh's characteristic brashfulness paired with his hopelessness as a romantic. An incredibly kind boy, Josh's attitude was always praised, at least in the humble village atmosphere he was raised on, and was regarded as an incredibly smart and mature way for a small boy to behave. Constantly adored and attacked by many girls, and smiled upon for his outlandish well-mannered behavior, along with multiple suggestions that the boy be in enrolled in Pokemon Study classes rather than "battle recklessly" at the local fields and attend trainer school has more than made its impact, the thick-skulled Josh is meeting the challenge of rising above and beyond every person, male or female, he meets. Besides, Josh didn't really think he even needed Pokemon Study classes. He was already far more intellectual, and mature than the rest of his peers. But this did not give him a big ego, he was still the social and respectable person he is known to be towards others.

The word most commonly used to describe Josh would be "determined", and the phrase, "Cute Trainer Boy." Rather than waste his time on the local girls, and no-doubtingly getting himself into multiple relationships, he worked up a sweat training for both sports and battle. Nothing like a good old-fashioned battle to relieve the grievances of the day, and synchronization between trainer and pokemon is something that comes as first nature to Josh, and is as natural as the air he breathes, for he has been practicing it from the time he could walk. For trainer just starting out, he boasts a rather impressive collection of Pokemon lore and knowledge. A cool and upbeat attitude is often displayed by this warm boy, and so long as somebody makes nice and complies with his presence, Josh feels no need to stir the pot and lay thick the violence.

However, if somebody slips up and retorts something seen to him as intrusive or rude, he is quick to snap them back into line of his own accords, which usually consist of them on the floor after a punch or tackle from Josh, or if found in a particularly mellow mood, something sporactic and humorous to lighten the mood, and nudge them all back into good spirits. His obstinace is a constant to his personality. While it means that surrendering is never an option, and promotes the boy to weasel his way out of any situation by any means, this same stubbornness eventually tuning him into a rather clever and creative person, while in differentiating circumstances, this same indemonstrable pride means refusal to admit that he is wrong, resulting in a "Prove it" scenario. Having grown up around his hot-headed father and mother along with their vast array of pokemon, it isn't as easy said as done taking a backseat to others' guidances. A natural-born leader, if one also seeking leadership desires Josh to do something, their request would be rewarded better if they asked, rather than told or suggested that he do it..

•Background: Born into the well-known and humble village town of Pallet, Josh was celebrated ceremoniously into the tight-knit familial little community that inhabited the village town.The majority of Josh's days were spent poking his inquisitive little head into every nook and cranny he could find, practicing pokemon catching by throwing apples at mailboxes, discovering, in a combination of miscellaneous events, the joy of knowledge. When he was only three years old, Josh waltzed in with a nothing more than an old pokeball his father gave him. Waltzed in that is to the most well-known Research facility in Kanto, the one most notably belonging to Prof. Oak. Of course, it wasn't such a secret anymore, and Oak, although surprised by a boy as wee and wobbly as he stumbling in and asking him for a pokemon, wasn't worried in the slightest about his poking around in the lab. With a grin, the encyclopedia of an old man started to kind of mentor the boy, and after defeating a group of burglars armed with Jynx with one swipe of his Dragonite, started in on a lesson that the tiny tot would base the rest of his life around. "Even when it looks as if you don't have the advantage, check again, for types are generic, and worth far less than individual Pokemon." Josh never forgot that day, and from then on, whenever his parents would take a trip to visit their old friend Prof. Oak Josh would tag along and other times they had him sit back and observe a friendly battle between Professor and Trainer with his father and sometimes his mother, official inductees to the Indigo League Hall of Fame. And through these spectacular marvels he absorbed many a lesson too, about how defense was oftentimes the best offense, and how a cool, calculative trainer, while not as eye catching at the rash and boisterous one, was the one most likely to emerge victorious.

When he reached his thirteenth birthday, he realized to succeed independently as a confident-minded trainer, he would need to develop his own strategies and game plans on the spot. Thanks to his parents, this was possible. Josh's mother Starla had finally, after two years shy of a decade, built her dream Pokemon Ranch along with the help of her husband. 20 years ago she traveled through the regions and collected Gym badges, earning her way into the ranks of the elites. She was inducted into halls of fames many times, but she always trailed behind Tai Sugimori. Josh's father, Tai Sugimori, was a trainer among the best in Pokemon. Inducted into almost every Hall of Fame at least once, collected every badge, even won a Grand Festival once, Taichi Sugimori is truly a father to be proud of. Now 33, Tai and Starla finally finished their Pokemon Ranch where they plan to just retire and use their winnings from Leagues and other tournaments to live off of and support their son. 17 years old, Josh now lives in a perverted and twisted image of Kanto that his parents traveled through. This is the scene set for his adventure...

Appearance: A true Performer at heart Mathias matches his appearance and his personality to a key. He wears a performers outfit, a loose white T-shirt under a black vest revealing his chest partially. He wears a pair of gray pants and on his head he wears a gray bandana over his forhead to hold his hair back and keep sweat from getting in his face during some of his more... Energetic performances.

He stands at an average 5'11 and weighs about 210 lbs. At first appearance Mathias looks slender, but after years of toning his body to be able to do more impressive stunts his body has been quite developed muscle-wise. He has long dirty blond hair and whatever he doesn't keep in a ponytail spikes out over his bandana. He has deep blue eyes and pale skin. Usually hes got his trademark cocky expression and hes fiddling around with Pokemon balls in some way, whether it be juggling them or just playing around with them.

Personality: Fast paced and yet mellow, a paradox that almost completely defines Mathias. He likes to absorb the world and tries to only accept the most positive aspects of it. Mathias is fun-loving and sarcastic, turning things that would normally be considered morbid and depressing into a joke. Mathias loves to keep himself and those around him entertained and tries daily to find new ways to do so. Many consider Mathias altruistic because of this but honestly he doesn't think he has anything better to do. Mathias dreams one day of owning the worlds most famous circus.

History: You know that old stereotype, that kid who dreams of running away to join the circus and live a carefree lifestyle? That's the kind of kid Mathias was growing up. Saffron is a large large city, and of course the masses of people must seek entertainment. For years would be psychics and all varying sorts of street performers riddled the city giving it a peculiar charm that could be found no where else in the world. Mathias was constantly surrounded by these performers and saw in them a future that was nothing but fun. Mathias quickly started learning as much as he could from the street performers.

From card tricks to back-flips, magic tricks to painting himself to look like a golden statue Mathias learned it all. But his favorite was and always would be, juggling. He would just sit for hours and entertain any passerby using his skill with the small rubber balls.

But of course, that was Saffron years ago. The rise of the Dark Brotherhood brought the fall from grace of Saffron City. As the cloaked men moved in the multitudes of entertainers would move out, something Mathias took quick notice of. The city was beginning to lose the life that it was once emitted so gratuitously. Mathias swore he would do whatever it took to return the city back to its former glory.

By the time Mathias was 18 his parents and more than half the city had up and left to go to any of the other continents. Mathias stayed. Everyday he would stand out by the edge of the street and show off his juggling skill to an audience that didn't exist. Mathias heard from an old friend of his that there was a movement building to expel the dark cloaked cult from Kanto all together. Mathias saw his chance, he packed his bags and made his way to Pallet Town as quickly as possible.

Additional Info: Mathias has many various skills some if not most have little to no practical use and many of them are... To say the least deceitful. As time went by and the Dark Brotherhood began to move in Mathias realized he needed to steal from the few observers he had just to get by.

Name: Cain Lukens
Age: 18
Gender: Femme
Appearance: Cain is fairly tall, standing at about 1.79m, and she's fairly skinny as well. She has very curl, straw-blonde hair that comes to about her chin with no bangs. Her skin is pale with a lot of freckles on her face and shoulders and she has almost steel gray eyes on a face with a small nose and thin mouth. No one would call her exceptionally pretty, she's rather plain and rarely lights her face up with a smile.

clothing-wise Cain's a big fan of more neutral and natural colours. She often simply wears light blue jeans with minor wear and maybe a small hole or two. Underneath that she would wear bale Nike sneakers that are very comfortable and simply efficient for a journey's sake. On top she likes to wear a teal tee that goes off her shoulders with faded golden decorations over a white lacy tank-top. As a jacket Cain wears a black hoodie that's very baggy and comes down to just under her hips.

To carry her things in Cain owns a grey triangle-like duffel bag that she often just slings casually over her shoulder. It carries a spare change of clothes and the essentials for a beginning trainer.

Personality: Cain is a very determined young woman that is to say the least. She's stubborn and if she's put her mind to something then good luck getting her away from that goal again. She's far from naïve, even a little bitter. She has a tendency to look negative at things and isn't afraid to voice those opinions. She tends to sulk a lot and doesn't like preppy people.


Cain tends to build up emotions and build a wall around herself. She doesn't like letting people in for it makes her feel vulnerable therefore she shuts people out completely. But like a bucket, sometimes one little drop makes everything overflow, and you have a volcano in your hands. Even though she bottles things up, she's also known to explode a little every now and then. She definitely has a temper to be reckoned with and doesn't like to be messed around with. She has a mouth a little too big and sometimes ends up saying wrong things at the wrong time.


She's easily manipulated however. As long as you refrain from sparking that stubbornness in her then you could fool her into doing anything. All you need is the right incentive and the right poking of her own doubts and you have her right where you want her to be. Beware of when the curtain comes up however, for she will not be very happy to find out.


Background: Cain was born into a nice small family with both of her parents and a brother named Judas. Cain never really cooperated well with people. When she was little she was an overly shy creature and never really dared to talk to anyone. Her parents tried to help her but Cain usually just hid behind her parents, she still had that habit when she grew up. Most of Cain's childhood she got bullied for not talking to people and being so anti-social. It went on for a long time until a boy came up for her and told the bullies to leave her alone.


It all calmed down after that. There were still some mean remarks here and there but the worst of it stopped. The boy, Jordi, would often sit with her at lunch and try to talk to her, though she still didn't say very much. She slowly opened up to him and they became friends.


Tragedy struck as Jordi's parents decided to move away from the decaying Kanto to hide in Hoenn instead. At the same time Judas decided it was time for him to go away as well. Cain was left all alone. For a year Cain wouldn't really talk to anyone anymore. The more social skills she had learned from Jordi departed with him as well. But after that painful year she got better again and started talking to people. She slowly got to resent everything about Kanto that made her friend go away. Now, 3 years later, Jordi is mostly forgotten, but the bitterness was not.

Additional Information: Cain is mortally afraid of the dark, she's been that way since early childhood.

Since Kanto is being run by the dark brotherhood, most cities and towns are in ruin with the exception of secret Clan of Hope pokemon centers set up around Kanto, and of course the gym's which will get to discussing at a later moment.

Appearance:
Standing at 5' 11" with tanned skin and weighing about 167 pounds, Jacob seems to be a normal teenager by looks. His hair is dark brown, almost appearing black, and angled layered to the right side of his face, just barely covering his amber eyes, and cut right below his ears. Some strands of his hair are spiked up, much to his displeasure, but even gel can't keep them down. His face is cleanly shaved as he doesn't like having facial hair. There is a sort of shadow cast over his eyes, making them appear darker than they really are and producing a sort of intimidating look, one that can potentially frighten those who try to make direct eye contact. He keeps himself in shape, sporting quite the athletic build.

The adventurous one, Jacob usually wears clothes that are actually good for traveling long distances and climbing. He usually wears slightly baggy jeans coupled with a short sleeve shirt. He always seen with his hooded jacket that has fur-like material on the inside and usually kept unzipped. A dark brown belt adorns his waist with a buckle that resembles a diamond with the letter K engraved into it. Color wise, Jacobs tends to wear darker colors such as navy blue, blood red, or black shirts with blue jeans.

Personality:
Before the events that happened 6 years ago, Jacob Webb, preferred to be called Jake instead of Jacob, was a very happy and caring boy. He was a good kid and very tolerant of anyone and the things they did. He believed in all the good things in life and had a very positive outlook. To him, everything had a solution and he was determined to figure it out. In fact, he was seen as the one who resolved disputes between his brothers. Because he was so trusting of others, he was easy to manipulate in some cases.

Now-a-days, Jake is a more closed-in guy and not as trusting of others as he used to be, but he is still friendly. He's quite jumpy and doesn't take a prank or being scared very well. He remains open to new ideas and is willing to try new things, but with much more caution than he used to. He personality, however, seems to be growing darker and darker every day. His outlook on life isn't what it once was and he's starting to show sinister qualities, causing his friends to worry about him.

Background:
Jake grew up in a normal neighborhood near Viridian before the events that took place 6 years ago. He was just your average happy-go-lucky kid with a very positive outlook on life. At school he was quite popular because of his friendly attitude and, for the most par t, was loved by everyone. At home things were just as good, only adding in the disarray of living with an older and younger brother who could never see eye to eye and two loving parents who just happened to be obsessed in researching pokemon.

However, 6 years ago everything changed. With the uprising of the Dark Brotherhood, darkness began to descend upon Kanto. For the first year, nothing seemed to change much. The place that Jacob called home was still home and while they heard news of attacks happening at this town or that, they never experienced it. With his happy attitude, Jacob was actually convinced that nothing would happen to them, but he ended up being dead wrong.

When the Dark Brotherhood finally made its attack on Viridian and the neighborhoods around it, it consumed the town into despair. Jake was stunned and it took a while for his mind to register that they were in danger. In his moments of shock he was approached by a cloak trainer who was ready to kill him, and having no skill in a pokemon battle Jake was sure to lose, but his mother intervened. Still in shock, he watched feebly as his mother battle against the cloaked trainer and watched as she was mercilessly defeated. As the cloak trainer prepared to kill his mother, something snapped inside him and in a burst of rage he charged at the man, knocking him back. However, he had reacted a bit too late and his mother was already gravely wounded.

After the attack, Jake was left traumatized for months and somehow, through his attack on the cloaked trainer, he had become connected to the darkness that was spreading over Kanto. After a year of therapy, the doctors explained to his parents that he had reached the peak of his recovery. However, the Jake that was once known to them was slowly fading away, never to return.
Jake's encounter with the Dark Brotherhood left him with a hallucination mental disorder in which the doctors claimed that he would never get over.

Since his encounter, Jake started to see shadows moving throughout the world and hearing whispers of things that aren't there. In particular he's seen a cloaked figure running away from him and yet at the same time, beckoning him to follow. His disorder has caused him to lose sight of himself and he's starting to change….

Kenneth groaned as he rolled over on the ground. He lay quietly on his back and stared blankly into the sky, his mind wandering. He clenched his jaws and hardened his stare as he tried to remember what happened before the bright flash of light. Vaguely, he remembered the look the man's face. He was smiling, and it wasn't just any normal kind of smile, it was a grin of confidence. A grin that signified that he had obviously achieved something he wanted.

The thought of that man achieving even one of his goals sent a shiver down his spine. Kenneth was confused. First the man captures them and tries to kill them and then he offers him a position to join his group and when he refused he was almost killed again. He wondered about the others. Did the man confront them as well and did he offer them the chance to join his little group. His heart began to race as he thought of what the others would do. He thought of them wanting to be safe, fearful of facing those powerful trainers again and being left in the dark of the events going on. He knew that they wanted answers just like he did, but he did not know if they were willing to wait for the answers, and thought of them joining the man. He twitched at the thought.

Kenneth sat up and rubbed his eyes. The guy was obsessed with darkness and believed that it could make anyone immensely strong. The boy believed that a bit, especially after witnessing that man's power. He couldn't compete against that, not now. Hell, the Gym Leaders couldn't put up much of a fight against his minions. Kenneth's heart dropped. He knew that Bugsy wasn't going to show up alive; he was as good as dead, just like Falkner. He thought about his father, a former champion of the Johto region. Could someone of his stature be a challenge to this man in the black cloak?

Kenneth wanted to believe so; his father was stronger than a Gym Leader, even though he struggled much more than Kenneth did in his battles. Plus his father a load of experience and once proved to be one of the strongest trainers alive. And his team, he never even had to use all of them in a battle. His Togetic, now a Togekiss, single-handedly defeated Morty, and his Blastiose owned Claire in a few hits. But the cloaked man had told him that the power of darkness would allow him to surpass his father's power and something beyond that was almost mind-boggling to Kenneth. That power would easily compare to that of the Elite 4 and past region champions, and maybe even the Trainer of Legend, Red.

He shook his head, snapping himself from the series of thoughts and climbed to his feet. The area around him was much different. No longer was he surrounded by bare blacken trees and dried grass coupled with a thick hard-to-breathe-in air that felt too much like death; he instead, found himself on a dirt path, right outside the forest, that just like it had from Azalea, looked much like a normal forest. But Kenneth knew that it was all a lie.

Before him the path extended through tall grass and passed by small puddles of water left from the rain a few days ago. Not too far off he could see the bank of a large pond, the sunlight glistening off the surface. Shifting his eyes to the side he saw an old sign, the wood worn and aged. It read:

Route 33, Goldenrod City.
