Pokémon: Sinnoh Revolutions

Storyline:

You're now entering the diverse and wonderful world of Pokémon. Pokémon are powerful, both small and large, but despite size and looks they all contain masses of unbelievable ability. Many people attempt to communicate with Pokémon, this people include: trainers, tamers, breeders, professors, co-ordinators and many more; they all have one thing in common and that's to use Pokémon to become the best of their kind, whether that be the Pokémon League Champion, an expert on Pokémon or winner of the Grand Festival.

There are eight regions widely known to inhabit Pokémon. These regions are Almia, Fiore, Orre, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. This journey will be taking place in the Sinnoh region. You will take on the role of a Pokémon trainer who lives in the Johto region. You're an innocent teenager who only wishes to use Pokémon to fulfill their dreams, but with many difficult situations set to arise on your journey it may be difficult to stay on that path of righteousness.

One morning you spot a television commerical from Professor Rowan of Sandgem Town advertising that he will be giving away four Pokémon free of charge to the first three budding trainers to come to his laboratory. This journey will test your courage, your commitment, your compassion and your love for Pokémon. Many shady characters, apparently named Team Galatic, have been spotted loitering around the region. Their true intentions are currently unknown but with rumours of them mugging passing trainers they have to be up to no good, in your journey it's up to you whether you want to stop them or not, whether they will give you as much of a lifeline is unknown. Do you wish to take on this bold journey?

Rules:

1. All standard Roleplay rules apply eg. godmodding, bunnying etc.
2. This Roleplay is rating PG 13+, minor swearing eg. crap, damn etc. is allowed.
3. We will go along with this Roleplay in chaptered form. I will supply a new chapter once one person has completed the last one and if you get too far behind you'll be warned before being subsequently kicked from the Roleplay. When capturing a Pokémon make sure your battle post is long enough to secure a Pokémon with its rarity, please leave your posts with the PokéBall shaking so I can decide the fate of your capture.

Name: Xander Knight

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Personality: Xander is a loner who doesn't really like to be surrounded by people due to the fact that he can't bring himself to trust anybody due to personal reasons. Because of this whenever he has to get involved into speaking or dealing with people he will do it in a very distant way and as quick as possible. The only persons he will care to talk to is his mother Clair. Despite being very distant he will, from time to time, offer guidance to those in need but only if he sees them worthy or if he is forced to do it.

He is very calm and collective and rarely gets angry. He is the type of guy who would rather walk away than get involved into a useless fight but when things get serious and there is a reason to do it he will be the first to make a move. Xander will always come to those in need even if sometimes he thinks it's too much of a drag, but even so he will do it without expecting anything in return as he is used to not getting anything in return from everyone and he usually doesn't get emotionally involved . You could say he has a little hero in himself trying to come out.

Despite being a loner he has one thing that he loves from the bottom of his hearth. It's Pokemon. Xander acts opposite with pokemon than with people. He is caring and understanding with them and always likes to have one or two around him. This is due to the fact than pokemon treated him better than most people so he prefers the company of pokemon. Xander knows what he wants to do….he wants to be a pokemon trainer and someday become the Pokémon League Champion, but don't be surprised if you'll spot him at a pokemon contest from time to time as he finds this a nice way to relax as well an experience that may come in handy in his gym battles.

History: Xander was born in the peaceful town of Blackthorn, in the Johto region. He is the only son of the well known dragon type gym leader of the region Clair. His dad was from the same city as his mother but died away when Xander was 14 due to an illness. The loss was a great tragedy to the family but also made Xander and his mother's bond stronger. Xander was a pure and innocent child when he was little, very different from who he is now, which wanted to make friends with everybody but things don't always go the way we want to. Do they? Even though Xander was just like any other kid people either feared him due to his mother's reputation or bullied him as he didn't develop his loner and strong attitude until later in his life.

The people who feared him were complete idiots, they didn't have a reason to be scared of his mother as despite being tough and protective of her son she didn't badmouth or bully anybody. Clair was a model mother so there simply was no reason but people tend to develop fear out of nothing, Justas in Xander's case. Due to this Xander was always left alone in kinder garden as parents always advised their children to avoid him and don't interact with him much so Xander always was playing by himself. The other who bullied them were children who followed their parents example and thought that Xander was snob and full of himself due to his mother being a gym leader in town so he could do what he want. Again another bunch of morons.

Despite all this Xander didn't blame his mom of anything as despite being so young he knew also that the peoples around him were somehow idiots. This statement really surprised his mother. They were having dinner one time and Clair noticed that her son was sad and knew why. She had considered resigning from her job as a gym leader so her son could have a good life but that night when she told her son what she intends to do her son replied : " Don't stop being a gym leader just because some idiots don't have a brain." Clair was somehow amazed and proud of her son. A 10 year old saying such things were really incredible so Clair remained to her title and was even more proud of her son.


As Xander grew up he started to be more calm around others and just ignore their bad talk or their nasty stares. When those things started to bug him he would just get up and leave or if he didn't want to give in this time he just had to open his mouth and say a good reply and other would just shut up. A for the bullies Xander became strong as he grew up as he trained along his mother with her pokemon so in no time he was strong enough to not even sweat and take down his opponents. As time passed and his mother brought him more often to the gym he found his passion for pokemon. He would play would them all day long until it was time for him to go home and at home he would study them trying to find any piece of information he might have missed. He would also watch his mother's battles not moving an inch from his spot until the final blow was dealt. His love for pokemon was growing day by day and this lead to his dream of becoming a pokemon master. So when he spotted a commercial which featured Professor Rowan's announcement and with his mother's support he decided to head for Sinnoh.

Appearence: Xander is a very handsome young man who could charm almost every girl if he wanted to. His smooth dark blue hair is a result of his mother's light blue and his father's dark colored hair. His hair falls onto his eyes which have the same color and give off a very mesmerizing yet confident look. He is well built for his age and despite not showing it he really packs a punch. His skin is at the edge between Caucasian light and pale and has no bruises or scars.

The boy usually wears what he thinks is most comfortable for him but for this journey he picked a new outfit as to the beginning of his new journey. He will have a pair of blue long jeans that aren't nor baggy or too tight. The jeans go down to his sneakers which are black and have some white stripes in some places ( Arcanine trademark ). The jeans are held with a black belt. Is upper appearance shows a white T-shirt with some kind of image on it that is under a thin piece of clothing similar to a sweater.

Name: Royce Holton

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Personality: Royce is an outgoing, straight-shooing type. Enthusiastic and excitable, he is a 'doer' who lives in the world of action. He has the kind of nature where he lives in the here-and-now, focusing on immediate results and sometimes takes big risks to get them. He lives a fast paced life, so his mind is always constantly looking for something to do or some new way to get into trouble (or as he calls it, 'have fun'). Through his trouble making ways, Royce will go pretty far to see his task through, disregarding all rules or laws that stand in the way.

Becuase he is so determined on causing trouble, he mostly rubs people off the wrong way. They think of him as a hooligan who just tries to get attention, and because of that Royce has very few friends apart from his best friend Fedo. To his friend and family he is actually quite loyal. He will stick up for them even in the toughest of times, as shown by his constant search to prove his father innocent.


History: Welcome to the unfortunate life of Royce Holton. He was born in Goldenrod City, where he found himself shoved into a life of poverty. His mother and father were extremely poor. Neither of them had jobs and the family of three had to live in a tiny wooden shack on the outskirts of the city, living like hobos. Royce's father became a petty thief so they could get by. He stole loafs of bread and blankets, only small things that he hoped people wouldn't notice.

Royce was very young and didn't understand how worse off his family was. Since his parents couldn't afford school he was taught a lot by his mother, who would sit him down every day and teach him exciting things about the world around them. The only Pokemon that was ever around was a stray Ditto that would wander in for food every now and then. Royce was the one who gave it small bits of his food and so the Ditto grew quite fond of him, always sticking around and playing with Royce.

Then one day when he was seven, things took a turn for the worse. The family's situation had become so bad that Royce's father could no longer support them with mere petty crimes. So he came up with a plan to rob the Goldenrod Game Corner for money, then run with his family to the other side of Johto. After a while of planning, his father finally attempted the impossible. As he entered the Game Corner, he blocked the door behind him with an iron bar, pulled out a gun and demanded all the money in the building. He almost got away with it too, but things went very wrong very fast. 

Royce was playing with Ditto that day and didn't know why his father was out so late. Suddenly there was a knock on the door, and Royce's mother opened it to the police. Later, after his mother had stopped crying, Royce would hear the story of how his father had been tackled to the ground by a man trying to be a hero in the casino. He would hear how the blow had made Royce's father flail out, accidentally pulling the trigger and shooting a young woman dead. He would hear how Royce's father was going to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Royce didn't want to believe this of course, and desperately tried to find ways his father could be innocent over time. He grew into a young adult and became a petty thief himself, trying to feed himself and his distraught, sickly mother. One day, when Royce was walking down the street snatching handfuls of food from random stalls, he passed a store with TVs advertising 'the chance of a lifetime'. Professor Rowan of the Sinnoh region was giving away four free Pokemon in a few days.

Royce knew this was his chance. If he could somehow get to Sinnoh and get one of these Pokemon, he could travel around the region and win money by battling. He could find some way to save his family from poverty. The next day Royce packed the few items he had collected over time, left a note for his mother and told his best friend and fellow thief Fedo to try and keep his mother from starving. Then he stowed away on a boat to Sinnoh and began his journey.

Appearence: Royce usually wears the same style of clothes every day. His torso is covered by a cotton shirt (usually white, but sometimes he wears different colours), and an orange, long sleeved overcoat. He wears white sneakers on his feet. Perhaps the only bit of clothing with any significance is the grey woolen beanie which he wears that was his father's.

Name: Rosencrantz "Rose" Blackwood
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Personality: Rose is normally very kind and respectful to everyone. He is always seeking to make everyone around him happy, and is willing to put his own happiness at risk to ensure the contentment of others. However, despite this inherent will to please, he is very shy and self-conscious, resulting in him not acting on his urges. He has a tendency to get very nervous when meeting new people, and he blushes quite frequently.
Again, though, despite all of this, he is undoubtedly one of the most sweet, kindhearted people you will ever meet.
History: Rose was born into a middle-class family living in Ecruteak City. Rose's parents would often take him on trips down Route 38 to Moomoo Farms and to sea the rolling fields and the ocean. Rose always enjoyed playing with the wild Miltank and Farfetch'd that lived on the Route.

Due to these trips and the fact that Rose's parents were both trainers, he always felt a special connection from Pokémon and has been able to befriend nearly any Pokémon with a little bit of coaxing.

When Rose heard about Professor Rowan's announcement, he begged his parents for the money to travel to the Sinnoh Region so he could get a start on the Pokémon journey he always wanted to have. After much discussion, he was finally sent over via plane, and he arrived in Sandgem Town. However, he arrived after all the other trainers had taken their starters, meaning his only choice was to take Piplup...Not that that's a bad thing, though.

Now, Rose hopes that he and Piplup can take on the Sinnoh League and be victorious, perhaps even becoming the Champion in the end...But only time will tell.
Appearence: Rose has shaggy, neck-length russet-brown hair that is best described as "stylishly unkempt". He is rather tall for his age, standing at 5' 8.5" tall; he is also of relatively average build, and is neither out-of-shape or athletic. Rose's eyes are large and chestnut-colored, giving his face a even more youthful appearance. Rose's skin is rather fair, and this is highlighted by the fact that he tends to wear dark t-shirts and pants. He also enjoys wearing hooded sweatshirts that are either plain or have abstract designs related to Pokémon training.
