Hi, so GoGoJJTech once taught me how to do this for Fire Red.
    Replace EC5D0 with 15 89 07

Is this possible for Pokemon Emerald?

Again, I hope this is the right place to post. I tried to look for a Q & A thread but couldn't find one... ^^

Hey! No, I mean like removing the intro with Brendan/May cycling and stuff. Like the Gengar Nidoran intro in Fire Red.

It's done in a similar way to how I did that. I'll have to dig up my research (if I still have it.) You basically change two pointers.

Man, that sounds so good! Thanks a ton, yo!

    Hello!

I'm a greenhorn in this hacking stuff.

Do you happen to know if it's possible to edit the game so it will auto select the gender and name automatically?

I would love to do it with my Emerald hack, but can't figure out.

You could use Diegoisawesome's GBA intro editor.

    Hello!

Well, it doesn't exactly help me the way it is.
I reckon people go great lenghts to change everything in their roms so to make a new game.
Using the tools available doesn't seem to be enough, so I might need to dive into hex editing, which I'm not totally excited about.

Anyway, thanks for pointing it out.
