if it dies a lot you are using it wrong ._. i highly suggest you use stealth rock instead of spikes. spikes is way outdated =/ ... night slash is an option for doing surprise damage to ghosts + psychics right as they switch in. it's not that effective tho. shed shell allows skarm to switch out of Magnezone's magnet pull and occa berry reduces damage of fire attacks, which stops Chain Chomp + Salamence from wreaking complete havoc on your whirlwind craze.

if you want all special attacks, go with choice specs and timid nature. you can also use Choice Specs + Trick, also known as TrickSpecs. if you want it to have the option of different attacks, it needs Substitute w/ Modest Nature and use either Expert Belt or Life Orb, although Expert Belt is preferred.

ice punch: if you have a friend who has AR, you can always ask politely.

unless, of course, you're completely against hacking. it takes less than a minute to teach a poke a move with AR.
