    [PokeCommunity.com] 5/14 - COTD - Kabutops (DP: Majestic Dawn)

Thanks to Water Pokemon Master from www.pokebeach.com for the scan.

i would give the poke body 9/10, it would be perfect if it also eliminated all trainers in game, like staduims and pokemon tools, but its already useful

as for the attack, 7/10, 70 damage for 3 energy is very good, but the effect is not easy to activate

it has pretty good hp, but the downsides are : the retreat cost; in a hard and long game, 2 energy are a lot, also it dont have resistance, which reduces the chances of a longer battle

overall, its a good card that im sure i would have on my deck =]

This is a really solid card. As I understand it, getting fossil Pokemon out is a lot easier nowadays, so there's no reason not to use it.

That Poke-body is awesome. While Kabutops is out, your opponent is cut off from their support system. That means no drawing, healing, searching, or messing with your side of the field. NICE.

3 energy for 70 and a damage spreader isn't bad at all. Not only is Kabutops shutting down your trainers, it's putting the hurt on you too!

The bottom of the card isn't spectacular, but you can't have it all. I wouldn't WANT to retreat this thing, to be quite honest.

If you can get this card out fast before your opponent can set up something strong enough to beat it, you may just sweep the game. Can't beat that.

    4.8/5

    *Cries*

And inbetween the sobs can be heard the wail of "five out of five".

I'm crying because I know of at least one person at my local tournament who WILL use that card. :P Which means I have to revert to Grass, which is crap, because I have an ace Fire-type deck that got me 3rd at States. :P

Anyway, serious review time? I think so!

...Actually, can't be bothered. Amp hit the nail on the head, absolutely. Just read his review. :P

Why thank you Cipher ^_^. I may not have played in five years, but I still know a great card when I see it.

Oh, and another thing. You may not be forced into using grass. Try putting some colorless flying types into your fire deck that resist fighting. THey can run off of the fire energy, and deal with this monster when it shows up.
