5 Day PC Outage

    A lot of users have been wondering why there was an outage for a five day period.

    First, we would like to forward our apologies for the interruption in service. During the brief period, we had a small issue in Accounting which resulted in Accounts Payable not receiving their check which ultimately resulted in an outage for five days.

    One of our sysadmins were working on the issue, however with the weekend not counting as business days, it took us until Monday to get the issue resolved.

    Thank you for your Cooperation and we appreciate your patience in the matter.

    BGT Already pretty much summed it all up. Just as last week ended PC's finances got tied up by the bank. With all of our cash tied up we weren't able to pay for all the various services that we enjoy here (namely the server), the rest is history.

    Anyway, all this affair cost us was a little time. Our database is safe and completely sound (apologies go out to the :cheeky: DBE Fanatics , No, the DB is fine :P). In fact there should have been no data loss at all, post counts, private messages, and just about everything else should be as we left it. If, however, you are having some problems in the community, don't hesitate to bring it forward.

    We've already undergone changes which will prevent situations like this from ever occurring in the future.

    again, my apologies go out to all who were inconvenienced.
     
    Heh. Leave it to the banks to bungle things when the bills are due. XD
    Well, At least they fixed it in a timely manner. ^_^
     
    Well, I'm just glad it's back online.
    Call it coincidence, but I was just about to donate when it went offline. Actually, I was asking about donating by post - anyone, can it be done?

    Woah glad it's up so I finally know why PC been out for 5 days. I though it was gone. 0.o

    Yes, Thank god! I am very excited the community is back online. I thought it may have been due to server or domain issues. Glad it was fixed though! Yay!
     
    Well that explains a lot about what everybody was wondering. I'm sure everyone, including myself, is happy to see the PC back up and running.

    those 5 days were like the longest days of my life!
    I'm just happy the PC is back! and well like to say thank you for fixing the problem and not letting it happen again in the future!

    I heard a rumor about PC never coming back - now I will throw a doughnut at this certain person.

    PC IS BACKEH!
     
    I thhougt it was me and my internet connectivity, nut on like the 3rd day I was freaking out, anyway it feels so relieving to be back to my internet hangout spot.
