    Basically, this is a little "icontest" that we're going to run. It will run for 10 weeks, starting Febuary 8th and ending April 8th. The constants will make 3 icons every week, each one created with a theme in mind, and each week the theme will change. A weekly poll will also be put up so you may vote for your favorite icons. Once the artist have finished their weekly icons, they will be posted in a random order, so the voters wont know which icon was made by who. Once week 10 has concluded, the votes will be tallied and the winner will be the artist who received the most overall votes. Please keep an eye on this thread! The more participating and watching, the better!

    Submitting and Weeks
    Submit your 3 icons, 1 or 2 if you'd prefer, through PM to me. Each week begans that Monday at 12 noon, and ends that Friday at 6pm. You may send in icons for the next week while the voting for the current week is going on. If you have any questions, make sure to PM me!

    Rules

    • All icons must be 100x100 in size and submitted in PGN, JPEG or GIF format.
    • This contest will be invite only, to assure only serious and dedicated artist will be participating and that we don't have 20 people in it at once.
    • You may not vote for yourself.
    • If an artist does not submit an icon for a contest week, they will simply not be counted in the voting, if they do not submit an icon for three weeks, they will be expelled from the contest for lack of participation.
    • You may not under any circumstances reveal which avatar you have submitted is your own while the voting is going on. Advertising people to vote for you is prohibited, though advertising the contest it self is welcome.
    • You must make your own icons, no using any you've found, or people you know have made. Don't cheat.
    • Have fun with these! The icons are meant to be created with your own personal style and techniques in mind, being original and creative is a must!
    • This contest will be done for fun, there will be no real prize other then bragging rights.
    • If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask myself or Ty.

    The Themes
    Week 1- Real Life! Icons made using human, or animals as models. - Concluded
    Week 2- Valentines Day Tribute! Love, and romance themed icons. - Concluded
    Week 3- Name That Tune! You can use any image you want this week, but it must have song lyrics or a song title some where on the icon. - Concluded
    Week 4- Shoujo! Icons with anime females and styled around feminine animes (romance, magical girl, ect.). - - Concluded
    Week 5- Shounen! Icons with anime males and styled around masculine animes. (fighting, shooting, ect.) - Concluded
    Week 6- GIF Week! Animations and icons with transparent decorations will be this week's theme. - Submittion in Progress
    Week 7- Still life! This week's theme will revolved around inanimate objects, fun!
    Week 8- Manga! Icons must be made from manga scans.
    Week 9- Haha! Joke icons, funny images, use your sense of humor this week.
    Week 10- Spring! All icons must be easter, or spring themed.

    I got your invite. Well, this certainly sounds like a plan. Might be kind of hard for me to do the manga scans and the Shouju and Shounen, considering I have no idea where to get any of the 3. And this is all for fun, a friendly contest, no prizes? Sounds like fun.

    Even though I will not participate in making icons, I will definitely vote each week.

    I tried to balance it out, so that no one would really be better at anyone else in any of the cadigories~ I'm glad your in. ;p

    I don't have animals to photograph so I have to go find humans to take pictures of :D Hmmm... it's 2am, reckon I can find anyone?
     
    Can it be 50x50 icons? They're so much cooler, and I'm way better at making 'em. *points to avatar* ;-;
     
    We could make it both, then? I mean, usually you find icontests in LJs, and they're max 100x100 rather than exactly.
     
    I'd rather it be 100x100 because it'll make them easier to judge. ._.;

    We have to wait a week until everyone's entries are in! ^_^
     
    Yeah, we're still waiting on three people to submit their icons, voting will start friday, sorry that the first week will be a long one. ._.;;
