Thanks to Water Pokemon Master from www.pokebeach.com for the scan.

Sorry for the delay. College is a hectic task. x.x

No...I am sorry, this card has no potential in my eyes. The card has a measly 60 HP with a Poke-Power that is alright. Although, it can't be effected by a special condition, which sucks. Also, the card has a terrible attack that does 10 damage.

It has potential only in a deck based solely around it.

The card sucks, and I don't want anyone wavering my opinion ;).

Yuck... the art is horrible. Excavate is ok, expecially if you are running something to draw cards from the discard later. Disable, well, I guess it helps the card stay alive, for only 1 energy, but AHHH the art is TERRIBLE!

The art was aleady explained for. But Sableye has been good for the year of 2006.Excavate isa decent Poke power.More different than most. Since it can be used while Sableye is in the bench. Disable is simple so it could have some use. Mabye even a EX counter.

    Sableye CG (for modified)

Sableye is another rare holo, making it slightly difficult to get 4 of. It has another above average HP for a basic. Its D type is very good allowing it benefit from Dark Energy. It has no weakness which is the best, and a resistance (which is better than no resistance) to colourless which isnt heavily played anymore (with exceptions, Lugia ex?). Followed by an average retreat cost.

Excavate: This is a very 'unique' PokePower. Many people will only play Sableye for this discarding and deck thinning power, but many decks do not want to do this anyway, so Sableye shouldnt be to common. It can help whizz through a deck by discarding cards - but this is hardly a good thing in most situations.

Disable: A very standard attack. Its effect may allow you to stall for a few turns if this is your starter, as most basics have no more than 2 attacks. Its C cost can be payed by a D energy card, for a nice bit of damage, but hardly anything special.

Combos: Sableye does have a few uses. Its power can be put to use where you WANT certain things in the discard (combo with macargo) to increase attack damage for Pokemon such as Bannette ex, Delcatty ex, Feraligatr, Marowak RG etc. It would be rare to see more than 1 in a deck though as its power is very very situational

However summing up this, these powers and attacks are lame. Making Sableye a below average competitor for many decks.
    5/10
