Suggestion: A "Design Talk" part of the forum where Hackers/FangameDevs can talk about their design philosophy in development and answer questions?

What if a part of the forum is made where game developers, scripters, hackers, etc can talk about the design philosophy and design process behind their great ideas?

sort of like the Designing For youtube series, or Game Maker's Tool Kit, or Magikura's videos on fighting game animation/street fighter characters/why mortal kombat sucks.

Fans can also ask questions to these developers/artists/whatever in these threads, without cluttering up the "Here is my game and the download link" threads for the fangames, which are normally full of "wow this games awesome!" and "im stuck what do i do now" posts. The new "Design Talk" section can be for threads specifically about the deeper game design questions and answers that inform the decisions made when designing the game. I had the idea for this while talking to a genius about the design philosophy behind his Pokemon Birthsigns creation.

Did you redesign a Pokemon's viability for the better using a unique gimmick? Did you design an area so great you want to talk about its design/gameplay function/available pokemon? Anything like that is perfect for the Design Talk section.

Iunno, I feel like the ROM Hacking discussion and Game Development sections would suffice for that? There's a lot of stuff in those sections that could be considered design talk and tradeoffs, like "ideal tm list", "how to design an ocean rom hack", "must have features", just to name a few recent ones. I don't think there's a need to split that off into more of an AMA thing with a thread for each individual hack -- even right now if someone wanted to post a "here's why I made the design decisions I did for my hack" in the existing discussion section there'd be nothing stopping them.
