[Intro] A good, I hope, Intro

    Hello everyone! I'm Tagus. I've been lurking for a while before taking the plunge and becoming a new member :'3 I got into Pokemon since I was a kid, with my first games being Ruby and Fire Red on my DS Lite (and then Diamond, since my brother got Platinum and my cousin got Pearl). I've tried to keep up with the games ever since (minus Sword and Shield since a Switch is expensive and the games are too). However, the generation I enjoyed the most was Gen 5, since then Unova became my favourite region. It is so challenging and enjoyable, I keep going back to the BW games a lot when I feel bored.

    Outside of those, I think XY are my favorite games, since the variety of Pokemon is so good to have.

    I'm currently Nuzlocking Blaze Black 2 to make the game harder for me, and to enjoy the challenge it provides. I have the plans to include the team I use to beat the league in a personal writing project, and to finally give a team to my OCs, but other Pokemon challenges are excellent for my other OCs since I can't always be doing a Nuzlocke

    The switch is indeed expensive. I didn't buy one till the Switch Lite came out, because it's both cheaper and I prefer handhelds =p
    The game + DLC Pass is pretty expensive too yes. I really like the new legendaries they added in Crown Tundra though. And Dynamax Adventures are a pretty fun time sink =)

    I've been playing since Blue/Red, but never had a GBC so skipped gen 2 completely at the time.

    I definitely want to try it someday, if a difficulty hack appears and I can have the Switch on my hands.

    It's definitely understandable to skip OG GSC, to be fair. It feels sluggish by now, I don't know.
