Oh dear, please bear with me if this chapter is a bit dialogue heavy. I haven't been writing anything from the past 3 years. I've gotten rusty...if you know what I mean. And don't go that hard on me, I'm a bit sensitive. =p
EDIT: Oh yeah and PG13 for some stuff. :x
I was running so fast that I can't see the path I'm taking. Then it happened. With a very loud thug, I fell down on the floor.
"I'm sorry!" said a dreamy, male voice.
I opened my eyes and saw a boy. I can't remember what his name was but I have seen him around. He was fixing the books that I've dropped.
"It's ok, I'm fine," I answered.
"Are you sure?"
"I am!" I nodded, "Look, no bruises."
He chuckled.
"My name is Jeremy by the way, what's yours?"
Then it hit me. His name is Jeremy, the famous boy who's great in sports. Every girl in our class was always talking about him. I even overheard them talk about shagging him in the locker room once.
"Uhmm, my name's Lily," I answered, "Nice to meet you."
And that same moment, I looked at his eyes and he looked at mine. I felt something tingle on my back. Like a mild shock hit me and travelled through my spine. I wanted this moment to never end, but alas, the bell rang.
"Oh, see you later I guess?"
"Uhmm...yeah," I answered, with a slight blush on my face.
I picked up my books and hurriedly went to the classroom, which were just a few paces to where I fell down. As I entered, I was relieved to see the teacher's table still empty. I hurriedly went to my desk and sat down, feeling much more comfortable.
Ring! Ring!
The school bell rang, telling that it was lunch time. I made my way to the school cafeteria, which at that time was almost full. I hurriedly grabbed a can Coke in the nearby soda dispenser and went to sit on the empty table at the left side of the room.
I brought out my lunch, which was a chicken sandwich that my mother made. Before I took a bite out of it, however, I looked around my surroundings. To the left of me is a wall, and the table at the back is empty. The table on the front is full of nerds talking about their Calculus project. I smirked when I heard someone from them shout "CALCULUS". The table on the right of me was occupied by 2 people snogging. I stared at them, with a smile on my face.
"Hey there!" a voice coming from behind me said.
I turned around and saw that it was Jeremy. On that instant, I turned red.
"Uhmm, hello," I answered, my voice hinting the feeling of shame.
"What happened? Why are you so red?"
"Ahh, its nothing,"
"Well if you say so," he said, then sitting to the chair in front of me.
"Why are you sitting there?" I asked, glancing at the 'popular table' on the other side of the room.
"Why, is it against the law to sit to someone beautiful as you?" he answered.
"Stop it!" I said, blushing.
"Stop what?"
"Stop saying things like that!"
"What if I don't want to?"
"Then...then..." I answered, not knowing what to say.
I didn't know what to say. No one has ever told me I'm beautiful, except for my mum and dad. And no one has ever done what he just did to me: make me blush.
He started eating. His lunch was ramen, and he uses a pair chopstick. He also has a can of Coke Zero near him. I took a bite of my sandwich and looked at him. He caught me looking at me.
"Why are you looking at me?" he asked, making me blush.
I can't answer. I was lost for words; I didn't even know what to do. The rest of the lunch break consists of me taking a bite of my sandwich and looking at him while he slurped in his ramen every time I do.
After we finished eating he stood up.
"Well that was a nice lunch, Lily," he remarked.
"Uhmm...thank you?"
He chuckled.
"Anyways, I'll see you later okay?"
"Yeah, I guess so."
I walked slowly towards the classroom, with a big smile in my face, thinking about Jeremy.
The rest of the school hours passed and all I had in my mind was Jeremy's face. I can't seem to take him off my mind ever since he told me I'm beautiful. To me, it was something very lovely and sincere; but in the view of others, a joke.
"Look at Lily daydreaming," I heard Minerva, the girl sitting on the desk behind me, whisper, "I saw her with Jeremy during lunch."
"What a waste!" the girl sitting next to her remarked.
"I know, I think Jeremy's just playing."
"Yeah, he would choose a better girl."
I just ignored them, there's nothing I can do. Even if I did react it'll just provoke them to tease me.
Ring! Ring!
"All right class, remember your homework," said the teacher, "and class is dismissed."
Everyone stood up and flooded the hall. I decided to stay for a while and let the crowd lesser. If I go join the big crowd, I might be squished by all the fat students who think they're the boss of the hallway.
"Hey Lily!" a familiar voice shouted behind me.
I turned around and saw Minerva and her friend Margaret.
"What do you want Minerva?" I smirked.
"Is there something going on with you and Jeremy?"
"Going on?" I replied, "What do you mean?"
"Don't play dumb with us Lily," Margaret butted in, "Minerva saw you with Jeremy during lunch."
"There is nothing going on with us!"
"Really?" Minerva asked.
I couldn't answer because after asking, Minerva slapped me in the face. It was so hard that a loud 'pluck' was heard all over the classroom. My right cheek instantly turned red and swollen.
"If I see you with Jeremy again I'll—"
"Hey!" a familiar male voice shouted, "What are you doing to Lily?"
"Oh Jeremy!" Minerva said nervously, "We were just...just..."
'"Just what?"
"We were just playing with Lily that's all!" Margaret said, trying to save her friend.
"Don't play with me, the both of you."
"But Jeremy!" Minerva shouted, "Why her?!"
"We're so much better than that waste Lily!" Margaret proudly stated.
"Much better?!" Jeremy smirked, "From what I can see, you're much worse than Lily will ever be!"
"Worse?!" Minerva shouted, "I am not worse than Lily, I have enough money to buy your whole company!"
"And I'd have more money to buy it back." Jeremy coolly answered.
"But Jeremy—"
"Listen here both of you," Jeremy started, "If anyone of you ever hurts Lily again, someone will get hurt."
Minerva didn't answer, Margaret didn't too.
"Understand?!" asked Jeremy with a louder voice.
"Yes Jeremy!" the both of them answered, after which they both ran through the door.
Jeremy sighed and looked at me.
"They'll never mess with you again, Lily."
"Thank you...Jeremy."
He touched my cheek, which is still red at that time.
"Don't mention it," he stated, "anything for a beautiful lady like you."
He moved his face closer to mine, moving his lips very close to my lips and whispered,
"Would you like me to kiss you, Ms. Lily?"
"Yes," I answered without any hesitation.
He kissed me. I felt something tingle in my back, like before but it's much stronger. But what seemed like forever only lasted for about thirty seconds.
He moved his face away and looked at me.
"See you tomorrow Lily," he told me, smiling.
"See you tomorrow too!" I answered.
I woke the next day, drowsily thinking about what happened yesterday afternoon. I touched my lips, and remember it touched his lips. I can't seem to stop thinking about what happened.
It's Saturday so I had all day to think about what happened.
"Lily!" my mother downstairs shouted, "Come on down for breakfast dear!"
"Yes mum!" I shouted back.
As I made my way downstairs I heard my little sister talking in her bedroom. She's just a year younger than me, and she has a boyfriend.
"So when are you coming over sweety pie?" I heard her say.
I ignored her, thinking that she was talking to her boyfriend, James.
"Lily dear, can you call Anna on the way down?" my mum asked, "I have to go get your dad."
She hurriedly ran towards their room, which is beside the 2nd floor bathroom. I headed for my sister's room, which became awfully quiet now. I knocked on the door.
"Anna, time for breakfast," I said calmly.
"I'll be there in a minute; could you wait for me Lily?"
"Okay, but make it quick."
"Okay."
I heard a several thuds coming from her room, which I assume is her having troubles putting clothes on. She tends to sleep just with her underwear.
The door opened.
"I'm ready sis!"
"Right, let's go," I answered, "I already saw mum and dad come down, we should hurry."
She said nothing because she closed her door, before which I saw a glimpse of her very messy bed full of her underwear.
We went down and had breakfast. As usual, mum was talking to dad about how was work. Dad was reading the papers and only answers with a grumpy 'fine'.
"How's studying going you two?" mum asked the both of us.
"Same old, same old," Anna answered.
"I expect your grades to be better next time Anna," she said, while pointing the spoon to her, "and what about you Lily?" she turned to me.
"I think my grades are still the same," I started, "I haven't slacked off from any school work at all anyways."
"Good, good," mum answered.
"You should study like your sister Anna," dad butted in, "good grades will lead you to a good job, unlike me."
"Yes, we know about your job daddy," Anna answered.
"Yeah, your job as a copywriter," I continued Anna's statement.
"Nhhnn, it's not like I chose this job,"
"If only you didn't choose to eat bagels all the time during school," said mum, "and then you would've focused more in your studies."
Dad groaned, we all laughed.
"All right, you girls should fix yourself," ordered mum, "I'm going to fix the dishes."
I chuckled, so did Anna.
"Off you go," said mum.
I hurriedly ran upstairs towards my room. I laid down the bed for a bit, thinking of what happened yesterday again. I thought that it was just for a few seconds but I glanced at the clock and learned that I have been thinking about Jeremy for 20 minutes straight.
"I'm going to go first sis," said Anna while passing through my room.
"Okay!" I answered.
As my sister started to take a shower, I started to stare into nothingness. Taking a dive in deep thought, I was wondering. Will it happen again? Or was that, as Martha and Margaret said, just a joke? I guess I'll have to wait. Wait until the weekends end. But can I?

Chapter 1 - Strangers in-love
"Oh no, I'm going to be late!"I was running so fast that I can't see the path I'm taking. Then it happened. With a very loud thug, I fell down on the floor.
