I've used all of the available palettes and I'm not even half way through adding the tiles I need, is there a way to expand the amount of palettes I can use?

(Recoloring is not an option(the tiles would not look good at all recolored), nor is sacrificing other tiles(a large majority of the tiles are in use or are going to be used) :()

Any help would be greatly appreciated <3!

Using Firered as a base if that makes any difference!

    short answer: no, not really

long answer: you can, but it requires writing your own overworld/map generation function to expand the palettes usable

    workarounds:
1.) rse tileset stuff, this isn't necessarily a "workaround" but hey it's there nonetheless
2.) you can also make various things into overworlds by splitting them up into 4x4 blocks (64x64 ow limit iirc) and then putting them into the maps as necessary (assuming jpan's character table expansion + navenatox's dynamic palettes)
i'm talking large trees, stairs, houses, etc.
16 ow limit iirc for screen at one time as well so

Like BluRose said you could make some of those into Overworld sprites and sadly there is no way to expand those palettes because its a hardware limit.
