    Who would watch an anime of Pokemon that has little to nothing to do with a certain 10 year from Pallet Town and a cute but poweful electric mouse?

    And if not Ash, then who? I like the idea of a show revolving around a female character like Iris, or May. And if not them, maybe one of the characters from the games like Gold or *whispers* the almighty Red. It'd be a nice change of pace to see a show where the trainer evolves his Pokemon and takes on powerful teams and trainers constantly without being embarrassed initially! But that's just me. What do yall think or suggest instead of our usual protagonist?
     
    I wouldn't want an anime based on any of the previous characters, especially Iris. I would like a fresh start with a group that actually sticks together and have been best friends but rivals for a long time. I wouldn't mind if the main character was a female.

    I would love to see a manga styled anime, but some characters and arc would be painfully annoying (Gold and Emerald namely). But if I had to pick, it would be Ruby and Sapphire and Black and White.

    So you'd like a whole new set of chatacters? I wont lie, Im down with that idea too & I would love for them to have all their characters from the manga involved. Like they just happennto come across Red, Gold &etc. I havent read tons of the Manga personally but Ive always been told they're much better than the anime and I can wholeheartedly believe that. lol

    A lot of it is, but not all of it. Some arcs are just really bad. But yeah. I would like them to keep Ash or create a whole new set of characters. Especially if the new character ended up like how Yu-Gi-Oh GX was too me, which I personally believe was the best saga for that franchise. I mean I like all the old character, one way or another, but I don't know if I could watch a show based around them. Some of the characters maybe, but not all. Some I wouldn't mind is maybe Serena and Dawn.

    Regardless, I would probably still end up watching Pokemon even if the show made a lot of changes. It may feel weird without Ash for a bit, but if the were to do a great job with the story and not make the same mistakes that the anime made, I think it would be amazing. And I think it should be more teen oriented and not just for kids. Especially with Pokemon returning to its glory with Pokemon Go.
