I think we should have a Sub-Board specifcally for sprites and tilesets and other stuff for rom hacking in Rom-Hacking.

I know that there is a fan art forum, but that can be any art.

Introducing Pixel Art. True, can be used for anything, but to be honest, most Tilesets made aren't for hacking. Spriting isn't considered a "hacking" part by many, it is in the run-up to hacking, and as such shouldn't be added.

Basically, people mostly make tilesets for themselves or for fun. Not all add it to hacking, and not all hacks use them. Also, how are you hacking by creating a tileset? Inserting is, but that isn't an art form as such.

We have an entire Pixel Art subforum. I know spriters here who dont sprite for hacks, they do it for fun.

As the others above have said, there is a whole forum devoted to pixels, which spriting is a part of.
Rightfully after Banjora, I state that sprites are part of hacking as much as a cover is for a book. It helps the appeal, but has no technical use whatsoever.

Still, there is a specific topic in ROM Hacking, where users submit their own sprites (mostly - tiles count as sprites, too) in public, often with a credit in return. You can find a lot of graphical start-ups there, it may have exactly what you're looking for. Aaaaand, it gets updated often, so...well, you get the picture.
