First tiles ever. Pay no mind to the messed up light grey outline on the example that's right below the white. xD I know the dark grew around the white is kinda messy, but I'm not quite sure on what to do about that.

    Here are some others:

    Don't be stealing the fakes.

Green= Completely scratched with or without a reference
Orange= Almost completely edited from an original sprite (the original would've most likely been made by West)
Yellow= Slightly edited from an original sprite

Which of these do you think is a better pre-evolution for Tropius?

    C & C?

NOTE: Everything in this thread is ONLY for the Torzach project. Don't make me chase you down to wag my finger at you. =/ I'll make a public set maybe later.

Is that a sakura tree? It looks pretty good... I've actually seen the type that curls like that and looks like the blossoms are growing right from the bark... not bad! On the brown/pink tiles, the outline is kind of weird. I think the dark line may be a little too dark.

XD I figured that much. I tried a lighter outline, and it looked worse. I'll make a few variations. Anything I can do to improve on the tree?

Hmm... I think what I don't like about it is how much it stands out compared to the other colors on the tiles. As for the tree, I think it looks fine, but you could try a variation (NOT meant to replace the current one) that's just bursting with tiny blossoms.

Which the dark or the light path? What colors should I be changing?

Maybe the darker gray for the outer part like in the first image, with a lighter gray on top of the pink as seen in the second? Or you could just ignore me, I'm not really an expert in this area. XD

See, I was thinking that too, but hum.. xD You would only be seeing the outline next to the white, since its grass. Anyone think these are any good?

I used a kyledove as a reference for the trees.

Wow, most of these are fantastic, especially for your first try. The pc and mart are really well done, and original, along with the first tree (with the pink flowers). The ground tiles seem a little bit rough, but I'm not sure what it is that makes it seem that way to me. (I still think they are great, btw) As for the colored trees, I don't think they look too much like tiles to be quite honest. The don't seem to have much depth, and seem almost like a backround sprite. Give them more of an overhead view, rather than just a side view.

Anyway, definitely keep it up! :)

When I saw the trees, I thought the same thing as Jαcκςση... the perspective isn't quite right, it needs to be adjusted five to ten degrees. The trunks are good, but the foliage isn't in the perspective used by the Pokemon games.

XD I see now. Alright, I'll adjust it somehow. Thanks.

I have two trainer sprites here. The smaller one's right leg is a little messed up, but Im not sure how to fix it up.

Their bodies (minus the right leg of the smaller one) Are excellent. However, the faces on both and the hair on the smaller one seem choppy. Maybe add a nose as well? lol. Great job otherwise.

The small one is kind of choppy... it looks like the larger sprite has just been scaled down. As a result, some features on the small one look kind of exaggerated... like the curve of the legs. The exaggeration on the character's left leg kind of reduces her hip, while the right ankle area is... just too bendy. Maybe making that shoe a bit smaller, or moving it over a pixel, would help.

...Am I imagining things, or does she have veins of bright red running through her hair?

The legs have been a problem for a long time. While she hasn't just been "scaled down" it's difficult to make some parts of her body and features when colors are so limited. I'll edit a little though.

As for the red, I made it slightly duller. I wanted her to have a ruddy red hair color. No one's made a comment about the red lowlights before.
