a superb gengar

hi, i caught a gastly, and it's shiny. and so i'm definatly going to use it. so, my question is, what moves should it have, considering that i won't be using any egg moves? also, it has a crummy nature (lax) so i want to know which pokemon is best for training on so i can get evs in special defence and low in normal defence. thanks very much.

well lax isn't that bad for a Gastly... it doesn't affect the offensives and the speed which is all that matters. There's an entry on Gengar in the OPB, so why not just pick and choose out of that list? Gengar can do just fine without any of its egg move (which to me, Gengar's egg moves aren't too useful if you're making it a sweeper. The only useful move is will o wisp really, so just don't make Gengar an annoyer and you won't be missing out much.)

I make plenty of sweepers,except gengar because if you put up the right moves it can annoy your opponets! In my own opinion,I would put up Shadow ball,Psychic,IceBeam/Flamethower/ThunderBlot,&Destinybond/MeanLook
