4th Gen A tip for completing your Pokédex "seen".

    I spent AGES trying to catch Uxie and Azelf.. but I was finding it really difficult, so I gave up. But I still wanted them for data to get the National Dex.

    If you take just one low level Pokémon with you to Lakes Acuity and Valor, and enter the battle, if you LOSE the battle, the legendary weirdos will still be there.

    And you'll still have data for them.

    Even though I gave up cheating a long while ago, some of the Master Balls remain on my GBA games, I uploaded them through PalPark and caught Azelf and Uxie with Master Balls. SO much easier.
     
    This works? That would be awesome. I don't want to lose Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, and catching them would take a while. I just wanna complete my Sinnohdex asap.
     
    Cant' you talk to them in the laboratory thing where they were being held?

    you must be lazy then. i used 43 ultra balls on uxie and then 2 timers. the 3rd timer got it. the rest i cought with ultra balls.
     
    yea, as soon you know catching them can be done, you will see you can too.. just keep throwing ultraballs, reset if you black out.
     
    It honestly involves a lot of luck. The lake trio is hard, yet on Uxie, I used up all of my Dusk Balls and Ultra Balls, but I caught it with my 5th Great Ball. It just takes patience and perserverance. U'll get there!
     
    Once I'm at a point where I won't lower it's hp anymore, I keep throwing dusk balls and ultra balls. If I pass a certain number of balls, I just power off and start over, cuz balls are expensive!

    I very much hope you're not accusing me of being lazy?

    Anyone who's willing to put that much effort into catching something most likely doesn't get out that much. I'd rather be out with my friends than throwing UltraBall after UltraBall at a group of pixels.

    EDIT: And for those who are skeptical about it. Try it!
     
    personally, i wouldn't call it laziness. i'd call it patience. some don't have to the patience to sit there and throw ball after ball at Pokémon. i didn't spend very long trying to catch Uxie and Azelf, but i definitely did a lot of restarts. catching Legendary Pokémon takes much patience, and with Red and Blue, the Item Glitch was a saviour (many Master Balls were cloned back in those days, lol).
     
    If you find the right pokemon with the right attacks (whatever you can do to get the enemy HP in the red, without going overboard), and you can inflict paralysis or sleep, then you're on the right track.

    I caught Uxie and Azelf in one night, after resetting many times. I used 2 Dusk balls for Azelf and 1 Quick ball, 10 Ultra balls, and 2 Dusk balls for Uxie.

    One night. I can't say the same for Mesprit though, but I haven't been trying to catch it.

    Hey man. There's no need for that kind of talk. I've got plenty of friends and not much time on my hands, but I layed in bed on a weeknight before going to sleep and threw ultra ball after ultra ball at a Uxie and caught it after thirty of them.

    It's not a matter of not having friends. It's time management, dude.
     
    well i want them in the pokedex i well try what said and just to tell every one my brother cot hi artocune in a master ball and i throw one pokeball at him at yello i cot him
