5th Gen Ability question

Hi, I'm brand new and hope this is okay to post here. The question is regarding the ability Overcoat. I'm playing White 2 and I'm on Route 4 where there is a sandstorm, and I have a Leavanny with the hidden ability Overcoat, but it still gets damaged by the sandstorm every turn. My understanding was that Pokemon with this ability don't take damage from weather conditions. Did I miss something?

Edit:Nevermind, found out it didn't actually have a hidden ability.
