About Grass Type Pokemon..

Hi..sorry to bother and post like this but, my team isn't any good without a grass type pokemon...and I can't seem to find a decent grass type pokemon out there.....LG...My team consists of: Magmar, Dragonair, Haunter, Kangaskhan, and Jolteon. If anyone has any suggestions for a team change or any good grass type pokemon and why it/they is/are good, I'd appreciate it.

Use Sceptile (Staller), Vileplume (Aromwtherapist) or Venusaur (Staller/Sweeper).

IMO, Exeggutor and Sceptile are the only decent grass Pokemon in the whole series of games.

Eh...Sceptile dies too easily to my Aerodactyl. So Exxegutor, Venusaur, or Ludicolo would be my picks. Haven't used Exxey yet but it's supposed to be good with it's 2 types.

Just my opinion. Dun't smite me for it...

Uh... Meganium is just like Venasaur without Posion, all it can do is stall. But Ludicolo pretty much owns all other grass types with Ice Beam and such >.>...

About 1/10 people use Sluge Bomb with Venasaur... Like I said, pretty much all of them stall and use Quake as an attack.

I see plenty of Sleep Powder Venusaur (even with Sleep Clause). They're not too shabby in Speed either, but at least their sleep isn't reliable as Breloom

Breloom is pretty cheap with that Spore =\, only good thing is its so predicable that you know its gonna Spore.

Ludicolo is the supreme staller, with leech seed and great spD
Meganium is kinda like Ludicolo
No idea about Venusaur, its poison type kills it though.
Sceptile is a sweeper type pokemon. Decent, fast. (Demonchaos: Heracross dies to Skarmory. Therefore Heracross must be a bad pokemon?)
Exeggutor is usually a sunnybeam/fire/boom pokemon, with sunlight it attacks.
you guys forgot Celebi and how well it stalls/baton passes :p

And why are we comparing them to mega OUs like Aerodactyl that sweeps 1/4 of all Pokemon? Pfft. Might as well say "Aerodactyl is terrible because Kyogre OHKOs it."

Now I'll just defend Venusaur since no one defended for it. Venusaur's poison types gives it an excellent edge against stallers (however, it's useless against a team without stalling purposes.) Being immune to both leech seed and toxic, having sludgebomb really kills all the other leech seed time wasters. High sp.def gives it a free turns to live against HP Ices from other grass types, and having sleep powder is always a plus. Also it's one of the few grass types who can physical sweep with swords dance and earthquake/sludgebomb. Overall, an excellent anti-tanker, as it can even handle non-grass type tankers with sleep powder and leech seed (or even synthesis on top of it all.)

hey come on guys don't overlok tangela the uber 1337 grass pogeyman. yeah much better than venusaur or any other grass for that matter. Disregard anything anyone else has said cause all you need is tangela.

Besides the fact that Tangela's sp.def is beyond terrible, sure. It's an excellent physical tank. But then it lacks the poison immunity and the better movepool of Venusaur.
