Hello. I am pretty sure you're thinking I'm gonna talk about Team Rocket/Rainbow Rocket/whatever, specially considering my username, but I wanted to discuss something else entirely.

Both cards show, as I'm sure you've realized, version-exclusive stuff, but one thing in particular caught my attention: Ultra Sun's card shows you riding Lunala, while Ultra Moon's card shows you riding Solgaleo. Any thoughts on this?

It could just be an error. Or we can get both Solgaleo and Lunala in one game.

but wasn't Lunala and Solgaleo confirmed to be version exclusives?

I actually have been thinking about this. It may not be an error.

Think about it. Looking at one of the recent trailers, we can infer that Necrozma ends up taking over Solgaleo/Lunala at the Altar of the Sunne/Moone. One of the trailers shows you encountering Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma at the top of the Ultra Megalopolis, which implies you have to go there to save/stop it. Obviously, you get there by going through Ultra Space.

But wait, wasn't Solgaleo/Lunala taken away by Necrozma? How are you going to ride through Ultra Space?

Here's my theory: In Ultra Sun, you would get there by riding on a Lunala from another dimension, and a Solgaleo for Ultra Moon. At least, until you stop Necrozma and save your proper version legendary. Then you use them to traverse Ultra Space.

    OR:
It's probably just an error or a gag by the developers. But this brings up the question again. How are you going to ride through Ultra Space the first time to get to the Ultra Megalopolis and stop Necrozma?

My question here is: If you have US, but also have a Lunala, can Necrozma absorb it?

Interesting thought, but I'm wondering if the Ultra Recon Squad help you get to Megalopolis the first time. They clearly seem to have other means to travel between Ultra Space and Alola without the use of Solgaleo or Lunala. Perhaps by using an Ultra Beast like Adhesive or something?

I can see the riding the other one stuff, but I don't really see any issues with getting through Ultra Space. I mean, there's got to be other ways to travel through it, just like WingsofBliss said above.

    "Heimdall, open the Bifrost!"

Remember, it Sun and Moon, we could get our own cosmog from the Lake of Sunne or the Lake of Moone after we caught Nebby. We saw both legends at the same time then.

It is possible, as stated above, that the Lake will be used in the story instead of a small piece. We could get help from the other Legend until we can save Nebby and then later we can catch the other legend that we don't have in our game.

I have Sun and Preordered Ultra Moon, so I really hope they don't pull a BW2 and give us the opposite legendary (we know dawn wings Necrozma appears in UM, but who's to say it's not just a boss to defeat with your Solgaleo before you can catch Necrozma? I really hope that's not the case. I'm already bummed that I will probably be getting the SAME legendaries than those I got in Alpha Sapphire (Thundurus, Lugia, dialga...)
