4th Gen Abra >_>

OK, in Diamond, I decided instead of attempting to catch an Abra, I traded a Machop for one in Oreburgh City (don't remember if the spelling is correct) and now Abra won't obey 75% of the time. Will this go away eventually or will Abra always be like this?

Should I have just caught one in the wild? And if so, what is the best way to catch one in the wild in D/P?

P.S. is there any better way to train your pokemon so that they like you more? (Kinda new to the whole thing with D/P) Thanks.

It's probably because you don't have enough gym badges. I think the first gym badge makes traded pokemon obey you if they're under lv.30, after that I don't remember which badges they are but the level cap gradually grows to 50, 70 and with the final 8th badge 100, thus making any pokemon obey you.

An easier way to catch Abra is if you picked Chimchar it learns the move taunt at lv 9 i think. Use that on Abra and he will not be able to teleport.

Badge 4 - LV50
Badge 6 - LV70
Badge 8 - All

That would be why. I was trying to train my pokemon to high levels before attempting the gym battle. So that would be why my Abra isn't obeying. That explains it all. Thank you.

Yeah, my friend told me about that way, but I didn't choose Chimchar, so I can't try that :(
