[Byzantine]

Hello. I am, as you can see, Byzantine. Just to clear up any confusion before we begin, I speak a bit of Latin, and my thread title means "Hello, noble friends" in Latin. So then, here we go.

I got the inspiration for my name from the old Byzantine Empire, which spread out from Constantinople, modern day Istanbul. I am fascinated by their cultures and traditions, and they had a relatively immense empire during the early eras of the Medieval Period. Back to Pokemon...

I've been playing the games since I was four, which was just about 9 years ago, starting with Pokemon Blue. I believe Silver may have already been out, but I'm not sure, it's been a very long time since I went on a colour version! Anyhow, In Red, I chose a Bulbasaur, as it was the first one I came across. I've pretty much only used Grass Pokémon since then, with a few Bugs too. I only got Platinum recently, but I see I got it just in time for the Shaymin event, It's just a shame it'll be quite a while before I can catch it. Moving on...


I intend to become a competitive Grass/Bug trainer, and a forum is as good a place as any to start. I don't see too many Grass type enthusisasts, and the same is said for Bugs, which is a shame in my honest opinion, as if they are used correctly, they can both be extremely potent/annoying as hell. If I'm lucky, I could raise people's opinions of both types. My favourite Pokemon simply have to be Shaymin or Roserade. I know, they're both a bit feminine, but I just think they're awesome.

That aside, welcome aboard the community, Byzantine. I have to applaud you on your grammar usage. It's not everyday we get to see someone post an introduction formatted in paragraphs. Be still, my beating heart. BD

Good luck becoming a competitive battler, as well as with corralling public attention to the power of Grass-types. Show them how a real 'mon does photosynthesis, my man.

Welcome! PC is a great place to start competitive battling. Grass and bugs are two of my least favorite types, but maybe you'll change that, eh?

Whoa! That was really one heck of an introduction. I wish I would have made one like that! XD

Anyways, you think that grass and bug types are not liked? O_o There is a thread named 'your fave type' and the results show that bug types are really popular among the people here. I forgot whether grass was also voted that much, but still. Grass type's really strong and I,too, used to be a grass type fan sometime ago.
